Trump ATTACKS Olympian in INSANE tirade

We've now reached the point where the. president of the United States is. publicly attacking American Olympians. who dare speak an ill word of dear. leader. You might have seen just days. ago American skier Hunter Hess said. this. >> It brings up mixed emotions to represent. the US right now, I think. Um, it's a little hard. Um, there's. obviously a lot going on that I'm not. the biggest fan of and I think a lot of. people aren't. If it aligns with my. moral values, um, I feel like I'm. representing it. Uh, just cuz I'm. wearing the flag doesn't mean I. represent everything that's going on in.

the US. Um, so yeah, I just kind of want to do. it for my friends and my family and the. people that support me getting here. Pretty reasonable, I'd say. And pretty. measured, I'd say. He's an athlete from. America, which is different from him. being forced to justify everything his. country is doing at the hands of its. government. Again, a pretty obvious. stance, but not according to free speech. champion Donald J. Trump, who took to. true social writing, "US Olympic skier. Hunter Hess, a real loser, says he. doesn't represent his country in the. current Winter Olympics. If that's the. case, he shouldn't have tried out for.

the team and it's too bad he's on it. Very hard to root for someone like this. Make America great again." Yeah, got to. love those free speech Crusaders on the. right. Now, Trump seems to be incapable. of comprehending basic logic, so let me. break it down in English, which again, Trump needs a little help understanding. Hunter Hess did not say that he doesn't. represent his country in the Olympics. He said that just because he wears the. flag doesn't mean he represents. everything that's going on in this. country at the hands of its government. And guess what? Most Americans don't.

support what's going on in this country, either. ISIS lost the approval of. two-thirds of Americans. Trump's trade. war is opposed by two-thirds of. Americans. Trump's threats to annex. Greenland are opposed by more than 80%. of Americans. So, did I miss something. here? Are Olympic athletes supposed to. be little White House press secretaries. when they go abroad? Or do we not have. the First Amendment anymore? Although, according to a bunch of Republicans, yes. First Amendment champion Megyn. Kelly tweeted as if it were just a.

little political view he espoused as. opposed to a clear shame in representing. the country. The gaslighting hash should. be stripped of his ability to rep the. USA and sent home. Sent home. He should. be sent home because he isn't expressing. total blind fealty with the federal. government. I mean, my god, do these. people hear themselves? Megyn Kelly's. tweet probably sounded a lot better in. the original North Korean. Here's. another one. Byron Donalds wrote, "You. chose to wear our flag. You chose to. represent our country. You chose to. compete at the Olympics. If that's too.

hard for you, then go home. Some things. are bigger than politics. You just don't. get it." That's the thing. They're. representing their country where they. have the freedom to express views that. differ from the government's. I. understand that Republicans like Byron. Donalds don't understand that because. their entire identity is wrapped around. their blind fealty to the god king, but. the rest of us know that part of being. an American is having a First Amendment. right and using it. Here's one more. Newsmax host Carl Higbie wrote, "Then. take that flag off your shoulder. Some.

of us wore that to defend your right to. be an asshole." Quick question, Carl. If. some of you wore that flag to defend. Hunter's right to be an then. doesn't Hunter have the right to be an. I mean, you literally. contradicted yourself right there in. your tweet. We have the right in America. to say what we want except apparently. when someone says something that you. don't agree with, then they don't have. that right? Take all the time you need with that. one. The truth is that it is. unequivocally American to express your.

First Amendment rights however you see. fit. It is American to express your. opposition to its government. It is. American to not censor yourself to. kowtow to the federal government. And I. would add that Hunter's comments aren't. because he hates his country, it's. because he loves it. When we speak out. against what's happening, it's because. we have higher standards than the. that that contending with right. now. It's when people stop speaking out, when we become normalized to this kind. of conduct, that we're in actual. trouble. As long as people continue to speak out,

I still have some hope for this country. And let's be clear, it's not just. Hunter. Other athletes are speaking out. as well. I feel heartbroken about what's. happened in the United States when it, you know, I'm I'm pretty sure you're. referencing ICE and some of the protests. and things like that. Uh I think that as a country, we need to. focus on respecting everybody's rights. and uh making sure that we're treating. our citizens as well as anybody with. love and respect. And uh I hope that when people look at. athletes compete in the Olympics, they. realize that that's the America that.

we're trying to represent. >> It's definitely a tough time in our. country right now and I think I just. continue to represent um my values, which is compassion and respect and love. for others, and also to um represent my. community at home and those that. have given us the opportunities to be. here. It's a very special experience. I. think there's a lot of hardship in the. world. globally. Um. And. there's a lot of heartbreak. There's a.

lot of violence. Um. it can be tough to reconcile that when. you're also. competing for. medals in an Olympic event. Um I actually have some thoughts. I can. I can read something that I had written. if you guys don't mind. Go ahead. So last night at the opening. ceremonies, Charlize Theron, she had. quoted Nelson Mandela. Um and I don't. have the quote off the top of my mind. cuz I'm not brilliant.

Peace is not just the absence of. conflict. Peace is the creation of an. environment where we can all flourish, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, class, caste, or any. other social markers of difference. And for me as this relates to the. Olympics, um. I'm really hoping to show up and. represent my own values. Values of. inclusivity, values of diversity, and. kindness, and sharing, um. tenacity, work ethic, showing up with my.

team every single day, like I said. before. Um the values that we bring and. put out on the on the mountain and on. the hill every single day. Um I'm hoping to represent those who. have been supporting me this entire. time. And um I'm really thankful to be. here, and my greatest hope for this. Olympic Games, from a broader's perspective, is that it. is a beautiful show of. um of cooperation and of competition.

And one more point for anyone out there. saying that athletes shouldn't be. political, take a look at this image and. tell me that athletes don't have a. right, a duty, to speak out against. political overreach. History will look. back at people like Hunter Hess and his. fellow athletes who spoke out against. what's happening in this country and see. them as the heroes that they are. The. Megan Kellys and Byron Donalds and. Donald Trumps of the world, they will be. remembered for the free speech-hating. petty tyrants and supplicants that they. are. And one more point, amid all of these.

fragile, sensitive Republicans demanding. that American athletes be sent home. because they're not saluting the Trump. administration hard enough, no one is. stopping you all from getting your fat. asses off your couches and. training to take their spots.
