Ted Cruz HUMILIATES himself as internet EXPLODES | Another Day
Ted Cruz can't escape his blatant. hypocrisy, probably because flights to. Cancun are just so expensive right now. This is just another day. >> [music]. >> After last night's Texas primary, a lot. of attention is being given to the race. for the open Senate seat in this year's. midterms. But did you know there's also. another senator in Texas making some. news? Ted Cruz took to X this week. writing, "Just filled my tank in Texas, gas is $3.99 a gallon. Hey Gavin, the. problem isn't Chevron, it's California's.
stupid energy policies.". But now Cruz is taking heat as users. began servicing his tweet on that same. topic from 2022, where he wrote, quote, "This isn't just the most expensive. Thanksgiving meal to date. Americans. will also pay the most at the pump. Gas. will cost $3.68, 20 cents more per. gallon than last year. #Bidenflation.". Now, maybe I'm wrong, but by my. calculations, 3.68.
is actually less than 3.99, you know, in the same way that a sitting. senator flying to Mexico while his. constituents deal with life-threatening. power outages makes them less of a. human. But maybe that was merely a. counting error on behalf of Mr. Cruz, as. in he was counting on the internet not. noticing his hypocrisy, which famously. always works out. But now that we're on. the topic of Ted Cruz and gas prices, it's worth taking a long look at what. he's had to say on the matter. >> Over the past 15 months, we've seen.
inflation grow higher than any time in. the last 40 years. Perhaps the most painful driver of. inflation has been the skyrocketing cost. of gasoline at THE PIPE PUMP. >> WHOA! This is a startling repudiation of. the current president and his. administration. Or should I say it would be if Ted. Cruz's views had any consistency, because as it turns out, this critique. of inflation and rising gas prices is. from when someone else occupied the.
Oval. >> When Joe Biden took the oath of office, >> That's right. See, back when a Democrat. was in charge, high gas prices were. crippling American families. But now. that a Republican occupies the White. House, >> where we are now is gas prices have gone. back up some. They're about four bucks. and 50 cents a gallon. So, basically, we've given back about half of what we. gained. And And And it's not complicated. why. And anytime you have a military. conflict in the Middle East, gas prices. go up. What I will say is I think, number one, that impact is short-term.
Number two, if and when we reach a good. resolution in the Middle East with Iran, I think we will see the long-term trend. of gas prices go down and go down. significantly. >> Wow, what a measured response. And from. Ted Cruz, no less. A man not always. known for his measured responses. I. mean, this is the same guy who liked to. porn tweet, got caught, and blamed it on. his staffer. Probably that same staffer. who posted those racist videos on. Trump's account. Man, what a resume this.
staffer is cobbling together. But Ted. Cruz's position is clear. When an old. man is president, there is a simple. mantra that everyone can follow. >> When it costs you a 100 bucks to fill. the tank of your truck, that's Joe Biden's fault. When it costs a 100 bucks to fill the. family's minivan, that's Joe Biden's fault. >> And when it costs over a $100 to fill up. your tank because someone's ego drove. America into an unnecessary war with. Iran, >> that's Joe Biden's fault.
>> Got it. But when it comes to Ted Cruz, his hypocrisy is a lot like his face, in. that it's gross and there's a lot of it. >> People don't like paying four and five. and six and seven dollars a gallon to. fill up their tank. This is a political problem. And for them, political problems. require a political solution. Just like with inflation for this. administration, where they've had five. separate explanations in 15 months. At. first it didn't exist. The White House. told us there is no inflation.
Then we were told it was transitory. Yes, it exists, but just for a brief. moment. >> Okay, so referring to America's economic. woes as transitory is a garbage. political excuse that all Americans. should see as pure unadulterated. Well, thank God we finally got. some honesty back in DC. >> In terms of prices, I believe the prices. are transitory. >> Rut-roh. But let's move away from gas. prices, the same way most people move. away from Ted Cruz, and hear what he had.
to say about the issue of weaponized. government. >> Look, unfortunately, one of the worst. outcomes we've seen both from the Barack. Obama administration and now the Joe. Biden administration has been the deep. politicization. and weaponization of the Department of. Justice and the FBI. >> Got it. Ted Cruz thinks there's nothing. worse than a politicized government. targeting their enemies. I wonder what. he'd say if he found out that his. government was targeting rioters with. oodles of taxpayer cash after they.
stormed the Capitol on January 6th. >> Do you think violent, convicted, and. then pardoned um January 6th rioters, do. you think they should be eligible for. this sort of slush fund? >> You know, I'm not surprised you're. worried about that, but I'm curious, were you worried at all when Joe Biden. was weaponizing the Department of. Justice. >> to talk about your time. >> impressive duplicity while walking. Not. sure where Senator Cruz is headed, but. one can only assume he's trying to catch. a flight during one of his state's dire. emergencies. Ted Cruz has spent years. spewing dishonest bile in Washington,
D.C., but what makes it even worse is. his claim that all he desires in this. silly little world of ours is a light. sprinkling of honesty, especially from. Democratic Senate hopeful James. Talarico. >> He is a licensed preacher and he and he. much of what he says, he quotes biblical. verses, and what worries me. is someone who's not paying attention. much to politics. might turn on the TV and look at him and. say. oh, he seems like a nice young man. And.
and for me, I would rather my wolves. come in wolves' clothing. I'd rather. rather they be out in the open and let. you know exactly who they are. >> I couldn't agree more. So, let's talk. about who Ted Cruz really is. He's a. politician, a husband, but more. importantly, he's a man with two. daughters who, like the rest of us, has. watched Donald Trump use the full force. of the government to run cover for a. pedophile's co-conspirators over the. last year and a half. And yet. >> Mr. President, I think objectively on. the merits, the case can be made that.
there has never had been a president. who's had a greater positive impact on. the children of America than you have. >> Damn straight. It's just a shame Jared. from Subway didn't score the VP spot, or. we could have really seen an impact on. America's children. But, Ted Cruz is. also a man without a spine. During the. 2016 campaign, Donald Trump not only. trashed him, he famously posted. insulting memes about Ted Cruz's wife, which, in Texas speak, was fighting. words. >> Donald. is a bully. The man is utterly immoral.
This man is a pathological liar. A. narcissist at a level. I don't think this country's ever seen. But, you mess with my wife, you mess. with my kids, that'll do it every time. Donald, you're a sniveling coward, and. leave Heidi the hell alone. >> And what does Ted Cruz say today about. the most amoral narcissist coward our. nation has ever witnessed? >> If you want an object lesson on what a. strong commander-in-chief looks like, take a look at the current resident of. the Oval Office, President Donald J.
Trump. >> Wow. I haven't seen someone change. direction that fast since Lauren. Boebert's hand got tired. The reality. is, Ted Cruz is a man without morals, because if he had any, he would condemn. Donald Trump's disastrous policies with. the exact same language he used years. ago to condemn Democrats. >> He is willing to make the American. people suffer. because of his political agenda. This is wrong. It's cynical. It's. abusive. It's cruel. It's hurting the. most vulnerable in our country.
And it's all deliberate. >> Has there ever been a more applicable. soundbite to this administration? The. only thing that could have made that. better is if he chastised the president. for falling asleep in meetings. Ted Cruz. is just another duplicitous Republican. who doesn't care if Americans can't. afford to fill up their tanks with gas, or put food on their kitchen tables, or. pay their bills for their health care, because to him. >> that's Joe Biden's fault. >> Got it. Before you go, I'm very excited to.
announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or.
go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble, or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
