SECRET EMAILS become HUGE Trump PROBLEM | Another Day
New emails reveal Alabama Senator Katie. Brit asked for a secret carveout for her. state to avoid Trump's tariffs all while. publicly supporting them. Apparently, the new rallying cry for her state is. roll lied. This is just another day. Ever since Donald Trump took to the Rose. Garden to announce his liberation day. tariffs in April of 2025, support for. those tariffs by his fellow Republicans. has been incredibly strong. And that. public support has never waned. The. Journal points out that several. Republican lawmakers have asked for.
tariff exemptions while Trump is in. office, like Alabama Senator Katie Brit, who pushed for exemptions for companies. based in her home state, including. fireworks, aluminum, wood panels, and. planes. Well, how about that? Sounds a. lot like tariffs for the exemptions for. me. Actually, that's a pretty solid. slogan. I might have to trademark that. sucker and slap it on some hats, t-shirts, and mugs before anybody else. beats me to it. It's what the Wall. Street Journal calls tariffs for the. exemptions for me.
>> Damn it, bested again. I haven't been. this embarrassed since my boob forward. restaurant, Breasted Again, went. bankrupt. Yes, as it turns out, Alabama's Republican Senator Katie. Britt, who publicly championed Donald. Trump's totally liberating tariffs, privately asked the Trump administration. to consider tariff exemptions for four. Alabama companies. Now, I wonder if it's. because the tariffs were going to be too. good for those businesses and she didn't. want them to get spoiled, or it's. because she knew what the rest of us. knew, which is Trump's tariffs were.
going to royally those businesses. and the customers who support them. I. guess we'll never know. And while Katie. Britt was privately pleading to the. administration that her state be. absolved from having to deal with these. tariffs publicly after the Supreme Court. told Trump his tariffs were illegal, she. tweeted, "What the media won't tell you. is that President Trump's tariffs work.". Huh. I guess Brit must have hit her. character limit on Twitter, or she. probably would have added, "But Trump's. tariffs don't work that well. That's why. I'm desperately begging for a carveout.". Look, it doesn't matter how much you.
publicly champion a cause if in private. you completely go against what you say. you stand for. That would be like if the. Democrats sported all those African. scarves to show their support for racial. equality and then went back and put. their knees on a black guy's neck. But. Katie Britt was actually asked about her. two-faced about face, and here's what. she had to say. I certainly support. President Trump with regards to actually. getting us on level a level playing. field, but in the inter realm, you have. to make sure that you are going eyes. wide open to what's happening in our. state and what's happening across the. country and how we can make sure that.
people aren't um penalized for the. components only being made somewhere. else. >> Holy I hope Senator Britt did some. stretching beforehand because that was a. grueling feat of verbal gymnastics. But. I find it pretty revealing that Senator. Britt would have to take such a. ciruitous route to explain why she is a. total hypocrite when only a few. years ago when she was elected to give. the Republican response to Biden's State. of the Union, she was much clearer in. her speech patterns. >> One thing was quite clear, though.
President Biden just doesn't get it. He's out of touch. I just wish he. understood what real families are facing. around kitchen tables just like this. one. You know, this is where our family. has tough conversations. It's where we. make hard decisions. It's where we share. the good, the bad, and the ugly of our. days. >> You know, like, "Hey kiddos, mommy had. to lie her face off again today, so how. about someone else do the dishes. tonight?" But Katie Britt is not the.
only member of the GOP to publicly. support Trump's tariffs while privately. asking for an exemption. In Trump's. first term, Senator Josh Holly lobbied. for a carveout on saw blades. Representative Mark Meadows on furniture. wood. Representative Andy Biggs on patio. screens. Yes, saw blades, wood, and. patio screens, which really make it. sound like those guys were trying to. find the most economical way to murder. someone at a lakehouse. Donald Trump's. tariffs have been a disaster for. America's economy. The Joint Economic. Committee estimates that on average, US.
households have paid nearly $1,200 in. additional costs in connection to. President Trump's sweeping tariffs. The. report projects that if tariff costs. remain at November levels for the next. 12 months, families will pay an average. of $2,100 next year. But I know those. numbers are hard to process. I just wish. there was more digestible way to get the. point across. And now we are learning. the latest escalation between Canada and. the US over those tariffs could end up. costing you every time you need to use a. restroom. >> 10TV reporter Kevin Landers explains how.
our country's number one export from. Canada could impact going number two. >> Well, this sounds shitty. >> If shopping for groceries weren't. expensive enough, toilet paper may be. the next item that could go up in price. The price of TP is expected to rise as. the trade war between the US and Canada. escalates. While the US makes toilet. paper, it's the pulp from trees in. Canada that American companies depend. on. >> We kind of need to wait and see how this. plays out. I wouldn't rush out and load.
up on on toilet paper that's going to. create um an even bigger problem. >> because the last thing you want to do. is flush your cash down the drain. Um, I'm all for the idea of visual. storytelling, but when Americans are. struggling with affordability, maybe. skip the whole flushing money down the. toilet gag. Unless that's this station's. calling card. Right now, purchasing a. gasg guzzling SUV is an easy way to burn. your way through savings. But maybe I'm. being unfair and there's a whole other.
side to this economic show that I'm. missing. >> We are currently in a trade dispute with. Canada. Can you report any progress for. us on where we are with Canada in terms. of tariffs and trade negotiations? Is. there any progress there? >> The fact is what Canada did was they. walked away from the best deal in the. world so they could fight with President. Trump politically. >> It's an incredibly intertwined. relationship, which is why in the very. near term so many governors are. concerned they'd like to see some. progress. >> Why would they not have our liquor on. the shelves? I mean, could you be more.
disrespectful? >> That's right. I can't think of anything. more disrespectful that one world leader. could do to another. >> On Sunday, Trump shared a cartoon style. image on his Truth social account. depicting himself and Carney facing off. on a hockey rink. In the image, Trump. appears in a USA hockey jersey standing. over Carney, who is shown sprawled on. the ice wearing a Hockey Canada sweater. Alongside the image, Trump included a. taunting caption telling Carney to get.
up, Governor. a continuation of his. running jab, referring to Canada's. leader as a governor rather than a prime. minister. >> Damn, why didn't Obama think of that? Then our neighbors to the north would. have truly respected us. But if there's. one thing Howard Lutnik is known for, it. is being incredibly bald. But if there's. two things, the other is that he is a. straight shooter. What can you tell. American uh consumers who are concerned. about high energy prices and concerned. about the cost of living? Um, how are. your policies helping them pay for.
things better? >> Tariffs do not create inflation. Well, let's go over what what inflation is, right? There's an egg. Same egg. Next. year, if it costs more, that's. inflation. We agree. If an egg costs. more, it's an eggs and eggs and egg. It. costs more. Okay. But if it costs more. once, and let's say you put a 1% like. gas taxes. >> Yes. Nothing instills confidence like. changing your example midway through. your explanation. Holy I have seen. better pivots from that breakdancer Ray.
Gun. Can we please just get a straight. practical answer on how America's future. will be brighter because of Trump's. tariffs? >> How are tariffs helping or what is your. message to people I guess who say we. don't feel great about you know paying. for gas and paying for groceries? >> A 10% tariff produces no change in. price. Now, oil, I understand gas is. high. If you break Venezuela and have. them produce the gas that they used to. produce, 3, four million barrels a day, and you break Iran's control on the.
Middle East and let that oil flow, you're going to have $2 gas for the rest. of your life and the rest of our kids'. lives. Hey, that sounds great and so. easily achievable. All we have to do is. break these countries and then gas will. be as cheap as a pack of bubble gum. It's just that I don't know. While. Howard Lutnik's promises of an easily. attainable, brighter future seems. genuine, for some reason, I'm still. skeptical that he's telling the truth. >> In the six or eight steps it takes to. get from his house to my house, my wife.
and I decided that I will never be in. the room with that disgusting person. ever again. >> Did you in fact make the visit to. Jeffrey Epstein's private island? >> We had lunch on the island. That is. true. for an hour. >> We're not mad that you lied, Howard. We're just really disappointed. But. we're also really mad because you. willingly had lunch with a pedophile. The reality is today is just another. example of how Republicans are full of.
Katie Britt's secret emails to the. White House begging for a carve out from. Trump's disastrous tariffs only prove. once again that the GOP is the party of. don't watch what we do, just watch what. we say. They are nothing more than a. bunch of hypocrites willing to do the. bidding of a corrupt president whose. only goal is to continue to get richer. And he's more than happy to do that. while he sits back and watches you bust. your cash down the drain. >> Exactly. Before you go, one quick request. It's.
become clear to me that this White House. is dead set on preventing me from. reaching any audience. Trump's decision. to put me as the first name on his. enemies list is a testament to that. But. it didn't quiet down then and I won't do. it now. So, please do me a favor and. subscribe to this channel.
