Scott Jennings humiliated on CNN… BY A REPUBLICAN
is the market. So, he doesn't want to do. something like that. That's thanks to. the market. >> Guardrails for what? To go back to a. world where we're all rainbows and. unicorns with the Iranians? They've been. at war with us for 47 years. >> rainbows and unicorns with the Iranians. for 47 years. Okay. >> Of that American people from the worst. >> Why didn't I Why didn't I learn about. the 40 Why did Why I'm sorry. The first. time I've ever heard about the 47-year. Iran war was like this year. Like we. don't teach about the 47-year war with. Iran in school. Like isn't it so thing.
to. >> It's insulting It's insulting me and. telling me that you have no idea what. the Iranians have done. >> to say that we've been at war with them. for 47 years. How many Americans have. they killed on US soil in 47 years in. the war that we've had? >> They have killed thousands of Americans. They have maimed American soldiers. They. have attacked American allies. And they. have been at war. with the West for ever since this regime. came to power. And it is their intention. to build a nuclear weapon and use it on. us and use it on Israel and use it on. the West. That is their intention. And. they stated it every day. >> intend to just keep using the Strait of. Hormuz. They have now learned that they. they can behave like a nuclear power. without ever needing to be one. But.
okay, so like if we're going to keep. going with this, what number of American. troops are we willing to commit to keep. going? And like what's your number? Like. how many US troops are you willing to. expend to achieve your objectives? And. what amount of money? Cuz like we're not. having that conversation. And we need to. Cuz we've already spent $300 billion. We've already lost like Those are the. questions we need to We need to answer. >> to keep American people safe from from. the worst regime in the world? A fair. amount. >> Now, the woman in that clip debating. Scott Jennings is named Caroline. Sunshine, a Republican who literally.
worked in Trump's White House. Scott. Jennings is such a hack that a White. House alum is literally humiliating him. on national television. Now, the reason that Scott Jennings. sounds so ridiculous here is First of. all, this 47-year Iran war only came. into existence this year. If this war. was raging and required our immediate. attention and troops and money, then why. didn't Donald Trump mention it at all on. on campaign trail? Why instead did he. say stuff like this? >> I'm not going to start a war, I'm going. to stop wars.
No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity and we will have. peace. Under Trump, we will have no more. wars, no more disruptions, and we will. have prosperity and peace for all. I am. the candidate of peace. I am peace. >> And it wasn't just Trump. The rest of. his cabinet also campaigned expressly on. not going to war. >> My honest guidance to those young men, and I think their concerns are very. legitimate. But if you're worried about. the world spinning out of control, if.
you're worried about a military draft, if you're worried about, God forbid, a. world war, the best way to prevent it is. to vote for Donald Trump. And I I really believe that. >> The war department will not be. distracted by democracy building, interventionism, undefined wars, regime. change, climate change, woke moralizing, and feckless nation building. >> Not a word from any of them about this. elusive 47-year war. But now, suddenly, we have to go to war in the Middle East.
because this is apparently been an issue. for the last half century. A quick note, my new book, The Day After, is now. officially on sale. If you appreciate my. videos and would like to support my. work, please consider grabbing a copy. this week since this week is my best. shot at hitting the New York Times. best-seller list. I also have my book. tour happening this week in Washington, D.C., New York, and L.A. You can find. the link to order the book and to go to. the book tour in the post description or. at briantylercohen.com/book. Granted, if you really want to know why. Donald Trump might be going to war with.
Iran, you might want to listen to the. one person who even Trump himself would. agree with on this issue. >> But you know, you can use that military. They are in big trouble. You know, Saddam Hussein totally outplayed his. hand, he overplayed his hand. Gaddafi. overplayed his hand. They see that in. Iran, and you know what? It's going to. happen to them unless they come to the. table. And if you had the right leader, they would you would have them at the. table right now without having to waste. lives and billions and billions of.
dollars. >> All right. If So, assume that we we did. have them at the table, what in the. world do you think it is that we could. offer them to persuade them, to convince. them, to scare them, or whatever it is. for Iran to step down on a nuclear. weapon development? >> Survival. It's survival. That's what we. offer them. It's pure and simple. A. horrible thing to say, it's survival. They won't survive. I mean, they are in. deep trouble if they carry it. And you.
know, I've said before I think Obama. will go to war with Iran because I think. he views it as good politically. And I. that's pretty sad. And it's a pretty sad. thing to have to say, but I think he. will absolutely go to war with Iran. I. think he views that as a positive from a. political standpoint. And I think he's. just waiting for the right moment. And I. think Iran better be damn careful. because they're overplaying their hand. just like Gaddafi and just like Saddam. Hussein. >> Quote, I think Obama will go to war with. Iran because I think he views it as good.
politically. Weird how Trump wasn't. applauding Obama for being at war with. Iran because after all, even back in. 2012, that would have been year 33 of. our 33-year war with Iran. And yet, there Trump was on television lamenting. the fact that we were there. So, which. is it? Has Iran been a decades-old. problem that we need to take care of. immediately, or is it just a political. tool that presidents wield to help. themselves? Because you can't have it. both ways, even though Trump apparently. and Scott apparently think you can.
And look, the reality is that you can. make a good faith argument as to why you. think it's necessary to be at war with. Iran if you believe that. But Trump. campaigned expressly against it. He. positioned himself as the anti-war. candidate, and that is what his voters. thought they were getting. They were. voting expressly against another forever. war in the Middle East, against sending. billions of dollars overseas, against. watching more American kids die, and. most importantly, against a continued.
refusal to take care of the problems. here at home. That is why Trump spoke. about housing and rent and groceries. And yet, the minute he got into office, what did he do? Launched a trade war. that raised the cost of everything, cut. healthcare and food assistance, which. also raised prices for tens of millions. of Americans. Launched a war in Iran. that sent gas surging and spiked. inflation. Has a single metric that he. campaigned on fixing gotten better? No. All of the problems not only persist, but have been exacerbated. And then, of course, you have obedient.
little doormats, lapdogs like Scott. Jennings sitting there and doing. apologia for all of it because, like. Trump, he doesn't actually have any. long-standing principles. It's just. whatever words fall out of Trump's face. become gospel for his sycophants. Trump. could be pro-war today and anti-war. tomorrow, and guess what Scott Jennings. would be? That's right. Nestled deep in the. protective warmth of his colon, regurgitating whatever Daddy Trump says. The reality is that these people do not. care about regular Americans. They will.
lie to your faces and to get your votes, and the moment they have power, they'll. do the usual bait and switch. The. anti-war candidate becomes the war hawk. president. The anti-Epstein candidate. directs his DOJ to cover up the Epstein. files. The populist champion candidate. sends the cost of everything surging. This is how much contempt they have for. regular Americans, that they will lie to. your faces for only as long as it takes. to gain power, and the second they have. it, the second they don't need you. anymore, they change their position. Something to remember next time anyone.
in this political party makes a promise. on the campaign trail. >> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Win Power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the.
blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
