REVOLT! Fox News calls out Trump’s corruption ON AIR
We have seen 10-figure business deals. breaking the Trump family's way for rare. earth minerals and for cryptocurrency. The Wall Street Journal editorial board. writes, "Assuming all of this is legal, it's still an unseemly display of using. the presidency for family profit. It's. hard to believe the Trump boys would be. able to do the same deals if dad wasn't. in the Oval Office. The main difference. between Hunter Biden's foreign dealings. and the Trump projects is that the. Trumps are brazenly open about theirs.". >> It's the biggest grift of all time.
Donald Trump has turned the White House. into his own ATM. >> Last year, the Wall Street Journal. reported about Binance, the crypto. exchange. Binance took steps that. catapulted the Trump family ventures new. stablecoin product, enhancing its. credibility and pushing its market. capitalization up from 127 million to. over 2.1 billion dollars. Its. incarcerated co-founder then earned a. presidential pardon. >> I do not have any business relationship. with any of the sons of President Trump.
>> The president insists, "With the stock. market going up, a rising tide lifts all. boats.". >> So, we're all profiting. I'm profiting. because I have a lot of money and a lot. of cash and we I give it to. institutions. I don't know if they know. what they're doing or not, but. they buy a vast array of things. >> A new interview with President Trump. just finished airing on CNBC and in it, the president was asked if he knew that. the family was getting into the crypto. business. The president said he could.
know, it wouldn't be illegal, and that. he feels badly for his sons, Don Jr. and. Eric, because any business decision that. they make is so scrutinized. >> Even Fox News just had to cover this. Not just what the Wall Street Journal. wrote about the Trump family's finances, because at this point we've all become. numbed to the sheer scale of the grift, but the fact that Fox News, the. propaganda arm of the Republican Party, the outlet that spent a decade. contorting itself into whatever shape is. necessary to protect Trump, the outlet.
that just paid $787. million. to justify his lies, looked at the story. and still couldn't find a way to bury. it. That's how you know it's bad. So, here's what happened. Last week the Wall. Street Journal editorial board, not some. liberal rag, this is the conservative. editorial board of the Wall Street. Journal, a paper owned by Rupert. Murdoch, published a piece with the. headline The Trump Family and Honest. Graft. And the piece opens with this, "Americans tell pollsters they don't. think they're getting ahead financially,
but President Trump and his family are. having no trouble." Which is, unto. itself, a pretty staggering thing for an. editorial board that spent years. cheerleading this guy to say. Just a. quick note here to say that if you. appreciate my work, which is and always. will be 100% free, a small ask is if you. could please pre-order my new book The. Day After, which explores how Democrats. must finally wield power if they're. fortunate enough to get it back. I'll. also be on tour in DC, New York, and LA. mid-July. You can grab tickets to the. tour, and you can pre-order the book at. the same link, which I'll put on the.
screen and in the post description of. this video. You can also find them at. briantylercohen.com/book. Again, I'll never paywall a single piece. of content, but this is the one time. that I'll ask for some support for a. book that I really think meets this. moment. Thanks so much. And then comes. the numbers. Trump's 2025 financial. disclosure, a 927-page. report, again for comparison, Joe. Biden's was 11 pages, shows that Trump. made roughly $1.4 billion last year from. crypto alone. The Wall Street Journal. editorial board's own reaction to that.
number was, and I quote, "Yowsers.". Nearly 600 million of that came from. World Liberty Financial, which is the. crypto venture that Trump co-founded. with his sons Don Jr. and Eric, a. venture the Journal has previously. reported struck deals with foreign. actors, including entities in the UAE. and Pakistan, that may have been trying. to buy influence with the. administration. And on top of that, Trump personally netted roughly $635. million from the Trump meme coin, which. launched just days before his. inauguration. Just an incredible.
coincidence, I'm sure, that the. money-making scheme timed its launch to. the exact moment that its founder was. about to become the most powerful person. on Earth. But, it's not just crypto. The. editorial board also lays out how the. Trump family has cashed in on the. critical minerals boom, an industry gold. rush created by the administration's own. billions of dollars in government. financing. Trump reported capital gains. from mineral developer MP Materials. after the Pentagon announced that it was. taking a stake in the company. Don Jr. invested in a company called Vulcan.
Elements just 3 months before it. received a $620 million government loan. And a firm partly owned by Trump's two. eldest sons invested in a tungsten. mining project in Kazakhstan just before. the White House denounced a minerals. agreement with that same country. Over. and over again, the pattern is this. Trump family money shows up right before. government money does, which, hey, again, I'm sure is a total coincidence. The journal's editorial board calls it. honest graft, which is a phrase coined. by Tammany Hall's George Washington.
Plunkitt over a century ago to describe. profiting from insider political. knowledge without technically breaking. the law. The journal's own words, "The. Trumps are seeing their opportunities. and taking them." And then, in maybe the. most damning line in the whole piece, "Assuming all of this is legal, it's. still an unseemly display of using the. presidency for family profit." In other. words, the editorial board of The Wall. Street Journal is out here basically. saying, "Sure, maybe none of this is. illegal, but it sure looks like the. Trumps turned the Oval Office into a. family investment fund." And they even.
draw the Hunter Biden comparison. directly, writing that the main. difference between Hunter Biden's. foreign dealings, which Republicans. spent years turning into congressional. hearings, and the Trump family's. dealings is that the Trumps are just. more brazenly open about theirs. In. other words, The Wall Street Journal is. saying that the Trump family is doing. the same thing Republicans dragged. Hunter Biden through years of. investigations for except louder and. with more zeros. As for Fox, they have. spent this entire administration playing. defense for Trump on literally.
everything. Impeachments, indictments, insurrections, you name it. And yet even. Fox couldn't fully avoid this one. because the story was too big from too. credible a source to just pretend like. it didn't happen. And when Fox finally. had to engage with it, by all accounts, they struggled because there is no spin. available for the president's family. made over $2 billion combined off crypto. ventures and mineral deals that lined up. suspiciously well with government. decisions. There's no well, actually for. that. There's no whataboutism sturdy.
enough to hold that weight. And that's. really the whole story here. It is not. just that the corruption is happening. We've known that. It's that the. corruption has now gotten so large, so. undeniable, and so well documented by a. conservative editorial board that even. the network built to protect Trump at. all costs could not fully look away. When Fox News accidentally commits. journalism, you know the underlying. story isn't just a nothing burger. It is. a five-alarm fire. The Journal even. warned that if the Democrats retake the. House or Senate this November, quote,
they will have a field day probing the. Trump family deals and that charges of. GOP corruption will resound through. 2028. And by the way, rightfully so. So look, Republicans built their entire. 2024 campaign on this idea that Trump. was going to fight for the forgotten. man, the guy getting screwed by the. system. And what we're finding out now, disclosure after disclosure, is that the. only guy who isn't getting screwed right. now is Donald Trump and his kids. Everybody else is still waiting on the. elusive lower costs that they were. promised that somehow never seem to. materialize. The Trumps, meanwhile, are.
up over $2 billion. If even Fox News can't spin that, I. don't know what to tell you for the rest. of the Republican party. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got.
here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you. That's also listed on that. website. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
