Prosecutor drops BAD NEWS for Trump’s DOJ after latest Epstein release

It looks like we've got some bad. news for the Deputy Attorney General who. had come out just a few days ago as it. relates to the Epstein files and said. this. >> Well, we said in July, um, and it. remains as true today as it was in July. Um, if we had information, we meaning. the Department of Justice, about men who. abused women, we would, um, we would we would. prosecute them. Right? We talked about. the work that we're doing. That's why I. said that. There's that I said this. earlier. There's this built-in. assumption that somehow there's this.

hidden tranche of information of men. that we know about that we're covering. up or that we're not that we're choosing. not to prosecute. That is not the case. I don't know whether there are men out. there that abused these women. Um, if if. we learn about information and evidence. that that allows us to prosecute them, you better believe we will. But but I. don't think that that that the public or. you all are going to uncover, um, men. within the Epstein files that abused. women, unfortunately.

>> So, that was Todd Blanche basically. saying that there are no other names in. the Epstein files. It was just Epstein. who committed these crimes, did it. alone, pay no attention to the man. behind the curtain, no other. co-conspirators. Already difficult to. believe on its face. But then, for. example, in the latest tranche of. Epstein files that were released, we. have one that looks like this. And I'm. going to put the image right here on the. screen. From redacted to Jeffrey. Epstein, "Thank you for a fun night. Your littlest girl was a little. naughty." And Glenn, this is just one. example of what I imagine are thousands,

if not tens of thousands, of emails or. correspondences that are probably just. as similar to this one. And And And And. like I said, it was already difficult to. appreciate what Todd Blanche is saying, this idea that there's nobody else. involved, the DOJ isn't going to go. after one single solitary other. person than Jeffrey Epstein himself who. just so happens to be dead. And now we. have evidence like this would which. would completely undermine his his.

previous talking point. So, can I have. your reaction to this idea that Todd. Blanche is saying one thing which is. being negated by the evidence that's. being released in the Epstein files? >> What Todd Blanche is saying is absurd. It is obscene. It is a cover-up. It is. re-victimizing. these young victims. They were young at. the time. And to even suggest, Brian, that in the millions and millions of. documents in in the investigation that.

was conducted previously of these. crimes, where reportedly more than a. thousand girls were sex trafficked, to. suggest that there are are only two. people who had any criminal culpability. in this, it was Jeffrey Epstein and. Ghislaine Maxwell, is laughable. But, there's nothing funny about it. because the ones who suffer are the. girls, now women, who were sexually. abused and presently, at this moment,

are being mistreated by our Department. of Justice and our Deputy Attorney. General. Let me go back to another. disclosure. And then I want to talk. about how this situation can be remedied. and how it must be remedied. But, let's. go back to an earlier disclosure where. there was email traffic that was. revealed publicly between and among. prosecutors and federal law enforcement. agents at the US Attorney's Office in. the Southern District of New York. What.

did that email traffic say? Prosecutors. talking to one another saying, "Okay, we've got 10 co-conspirators identified. of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes." And they. were talking about a plan to, you know, do what they needed to do with respect. to those 10 co-conspirators. And then, of course, that investigation got. killed. So, don't tell me that there. were federal prosecutors working on 10. co-conspirators back then. I believe the.

email traffic was dated 2019. And nobody in there, nobody in the files. committed any other crimes, and there. are no investigative leads to pursue. That is such obvious, blatant. that, you know, Todd Blanche should be. run out of the Department of Justice on. a rail. And frankly, when the rule of. law comes back into the light of day, Todd Blanche, together with Bondy, and. anybody else who's covering up covering.

up the crimes of the men that abused. these women that were part and parcel of. Epstein and Maxwell's conspiracy to sex. traffic young girls, you know, they. should all be held accountable because. right now, it sure looks like Blanche. and Bondy are accessories after the fact. to the crimes of the people who are. undoubtedly. in those Epstein files. >> That's exactly what I wanted to bring up. with you. And And by the way, I've asked.

attorneys general in the aftermath of. speaking with you, just about a week. ago, about this idea of charging these. folks as accessories after the fact. I. spoke with the Minnesota Attorney. General Keith Ellison. I spoke with. California Attorney General Rob Bonta. Brought up the idea of accessory after. the fact to both of them, and both of. them said that, you know, obviously, you. have to go through the process, but. something like this is not out of the. realm of possibility. But, you know, a. lot of people are going to look at this. and say, "This is the Deputy Attorney. General, and we watched as a previous.

Department of Justice under Joe Biden. was not willing to go after, you know, any of these high-ranking officials. They can go after the the uh the boots. of the insurrection, but not the suits. of the insurrection. And so, they just. don't have kind of confidence that that. you see somebody like Todd Blanche. abusing his position or acting as an. accessory after the fact that there's. going to be any justice. And so, what. would you say to those folks who are. watching right now? And then also, what. would you say to the next Democratic. administration who may have the the.

ability. to prosecute these people or investigate. these people that might be teetering on. the fence in very much the way that we. saw during the Biden administration? >> Yeah, a couple of things, Brian. First of all, if we don't learn from the. failures of the Merrick Garland. approach, timidity in all things, let's. just pretend none of this happened so we. can restore the credibility and. legitimacy of the Department of Justice. Look at where that got us, right?

Refusing to hold folk accountable, especially the ruling class criminals, the powerful, influential, connected. criminals, refusing to hold them. accountable has brought us to exactly. where we are today. And if we don't. learn from that horrendous mistake, well, then guess what? We don't deserve. to keep our republic. If we replicate. that kind of timidity and abdication of. our responsibility to hold these folk. accountable. And here's the other thing.

I'll say, Brian. People may not believe this, but I have. never been a political guy, right? I'm a. rule of law guy. The rule of law doesn't. know party affiliation. I don't care if. a suspect or a target or a defendant. carries an R next to their name or a D. or an I or no letter at all. I am just. as furious. at the Biden administration and the. Merrick Garland Department of Justice. for not doing anything to, for example, go after those 10 co-conspirators for.

openers, right? I think you have people. in both parties who, for whatever. reason, are determined to, you know, to to let the ruling class criminals, the rich, the powerful, the influential, the connected, just let them be. untouchable by the rule of law that will. touch all the rest of us if we step a. toe over a legal line. So, you know. what? I I am just as furious at the. Biden administration for doing nothing.

about this as I am at the Trump. administration both then and now. But, one way or another, justice has to come. for the abuse that these then young. girls, now women, suffered as part of. this sex trafficking conspiracy. And, you know, there is some good news. There's a little bit of light on the on. the horizon. Because what we see the. Department of Justice doing now, some of. the recent reporting, is that they. recklessly, if not intentionally,

allowed thousands and thousands and. thousands of references to victims'. names to be spewed into the public. square when they released those 3. million documents recently. And, Brian, they had one job to do. Redact victim information. And they, at a minimum, recklessly, it. even feels more nefarious and sinister. than that, but at least recklessly. endangered and revictimized hundreds of.

these victims. So, here is, if there's. any good news in all of this, if we can. mine through all the bad news, it is. that DOJ's recklessness has now given. the victims absolute standing to file a. lawsuit and to demand that all of the. Epstein files not be released in the. first instance, but be put in the hands. of a special master. And a special.

master is basically an extension of the. court. And I have a feeling, Brian, it's. going to be long and painful, and DOJ. will do everything it can to block. this from happening, but I have to. believe at some point all of these. documents, the ones that haven't been. shredded, um will be delivered to a special. master, and so then they will virtually. be in the hands of the court, and the. special master can make the decision as.

to, for example, when Todd Blanche said, "We've disclosed everything we're going. to disclose." But he also says there are. at least a couple of million documents. that they haven't yet disclosed, and. when he has failed to explain why they. redacted what they redacted, why they're. protecting, apparently, these men who. were likely complicit in this, um. that will all become a matter of public. record once a legitimate, independent,

honest special master can pour through. everything, and, you know, bring to. light just what this Department of. Justice has been covering up. And I say. that that will happen because the. Epstein Files Transparency Act itself. says that the Department of Justice must. justify anything they've decided not to. release, and they must justify all the. redactions they made, they must catalog. them, none of which they've done.

They're in violation of the federal law. in multiple ways at this moment, and. they continue to be in violation of the. federal law. But the special master will. get that all right because that will be. an arm of the court. And eventually, Brian, eventually, we're going to get. there, and I'll tell you the. accountability that will follow, the. accountability that must follow when we. finally get there, you know, is one of. the few hopes we have of keeping our. republic because without accountability.

for these crimes, we are lost and we. have no hope of deterring tomorrow's bad. actors, tomorrow's, you know, governmental criminals. >> Perfectly put. One last question on. this, Glenn. Obviously, the. administration is vehemently, staunchly. opposed to a special master because they. want to be able to control what. information does, or more importantly, doesn't come out. Does the fact that. we're seeing all of these missteps at. the hands of the DOJ actually make it. more likely that the administration is. going to have to surrender to a special.

master if and when this thing is brought. to a judge? >> More likely times infinity, especially. with all of these reckless disclosures. of victim information. It's. heartbreaking, Brian, when you read the. reporting about how traumatized and. devastated and frightened these victims. are right now as a result of having. their personal information, identity, and other information like driver's. licenses put out there in the public.

square. You know, if the Department of. Justice believed that it had done the. right thing every step of the way, including all of the redactions it made, all of the millions of documents it is. still withholding, then I would think. they would say, "You know what? A. special master will validate us. We'll. confirm that everything we've done was. perfectly in accordance with the Epstein. Files Transparency Act. But guess what?

Ain't no way in hell everything they. have done is in compliance with the. federal law.". >> All right. Well, we will, of course, stay on top of this.
