OMG: Trump makes INSANE Easter announcement
Just to set the stage on what is. arguably the most insane Easter. announcement ever. We have a president. who claims to be the second coming of. Christ. He parades himself around like. the vessel through which Jesus himself. can speak to America. And then today, on. one of the holiest days of the year, Easter Sunday, Trump takes to Truth. Social for this announcement. "Tuesday. will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day. all wrapped up in one in Iran. There. will be nothing like it. Open the. straight, you crazy bastards, or. you'll be living in hell. Just watch.
Praise be to Allah. President Donald J. Trump." Yeah, just like Jesus would have. wanted. Where do we even begin? First of all, isn't the whole point of having a. president who could put the Christ back. in Christmas and who says that America. needs God to actually celebrate holy. holidays instead of using them to lob. thinly veiled threats of nuclear war? I. mean, I'm not Christian, so I don't. really have a leg to stand on here, but. this doesn't exactly scream Easter. In.
fact, the lunacy of Trump's post wasn't. even lost on his own party. Marjorie. Taylor Greene posted on Easter morning, "This is what President Trump posted. Everyone in his administration that. claims to be a Christian needs to fall. on their knees and beg forgiveness from. God and stop worshipping the president. and intervene in Trump's madness. I know. all of you and him, and he has gone. insane, and all of you are complicit." I. mean, honestly, I'm not sure how you. square posting videos like this. This. holy week, I'm proud to join with. Christians across the country and around.
the world to celebrate the most glorious. miracle in all of time, the resurrection. of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In. his life, Christ displayed true. humility. In his death, he modeled true. love. And in his resurrection from the. tomb, he proved that even death itself. will not silence those who place their. trust in Almighty God. As it says in Gospel of John, "For God. so loved the world that he gave his only.
son, for whoever believes in him should. not perish, but have eternal life.". Eternal life, such beautiful words. This. Easter, millions of Christians all over. the globe will be reminded that because. of what Jesus did on the cross, all of. us can live every day with hope in God's. promise, knowing that in the end, evil. and wickedness will not prevail. In the. spirit of joy and renewal this Easter,
we also celebrate the extraordinary. resurrection of faith and religion in. America. As I have often said, to be a great. nation, you must have religion, and you. must have God. In churches across the. nation on Sunday, the pews will be. fuller, younger, and more faithful than. they have at any time in many, many. years. Religion is growing again in our. country for the first time in decades. Happy Easter to all. May God bless you.
May God bless the United States of. America. Our country is doing so well, like never before. Thank you. And then, on Easter Sunday, the first words out of. your mouth are, "Open the. straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll. be living in hell.". But, let's actually dig into the merits. of what Trump is saying here. To open. the straight, or else. I find. that super interesting because on. Wednesday of this week, here's what. Trump said. So, it was really in the US. interest opening that back up, and.
whether that was a chief demand. The United States imports almost no oil. through the Hormuz Strait, and won't be taking any in the future. We don't need it. We haven't needed it, and we don't The countries of the world. that do receive oil through the Hormuz. Strait must take care of that passage. Go to the. and just take it, protect it, use it for. yourselves. So, we don't need it, but. also you better open it up or we're.
going to rain holy hell on you, but also. we haven't needed it, but also you. better watch it if you don't. Does that about cover it? And it's not. like this lunacy is a fluke. He spoke. with Rachel Scott of ABC News who. reported spoke with President Trump. He. told me the conflict should be over in. days, not weeks, but if no deal is made, he's blowing up the whole country with. {quote} very little off the table. {quote} If it happens, it happens and if. it doesn't, we're blowing up the whole. country, he said. I asked if there's. anything off limits, very little, he. said. She continued, I asked the.
president if his two to three week. timeline still holds, {quote} it should. be days, not weeks, Trump said. It. should be wrapped up in days because no. sane group of people could stand the. punishment that's about to rain down on. them if it's not, he said. In other. words, Trump is threatening nuclear war. on Easter Sunday. This from the prince. of peace who promised this on the. campaign trail. She would get us into. World War because she is too grossly. incompetent to do the job and then. all of your sons and daughters will end.
up getting a draft notice. They think. all the draft, Dad, what's this? Oh, congratulations, you've been drafted. into the military. You're going to fight. a war against a country that nobody's. ever heard of. Isn't it true? Isn't it ridiculous? I'm. not going to start a war, I'm going to. stop wars. No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity and we will have. peace. Under Trump, we will have no more. wars, no more disruptions and we will.
have prosperity and peace for all. I am. the candidate of peace. I am peace. And whose VP nominee said this? My. honest guidance to those young men, and. I think their concerns are very. legitimate. But if you're worried about. the world spinning out of control, if. you're worried about a military draft, if you're worried about God forbid a. world war, the best way to prevent it is. to vote for Donald Trump. And I I really believe that. Yeah, that was a quaint time, wasn't it?
So look, I suppose that my message on. this Easter Sunday is perhaps do not put. your faith in a deranged lunatic. threatening nuclear war against the. world while Americans are starving and. without health care right here at home. Perhaps do not put your faith in. somebody who threatens death and. destruction before he makes even a. modicum of an effort to help people. And. perhaps perhaps stop pretending that. this guy is or ever was some beacon of. Christianity. Okay, you mentioned the. Bible, you've been talking about how. it's your favorite book and you said I. think last night in Iowa some people are.
surprised that you say that. I'm. wondering what one or two of your most. favored Bible verses are and why. >> I wouldn't want to get into it because. to me that's very personal. You know, when I talk about the Bible it's very. personal. So I don't want to get into. verses. I don't want to get into. >> There's no verse that means a lot to you. that you think about or cite? >> The The Bible means a lot to me, but I. don't want to get into specifics. Even. to cite a verse that you like? >> want to do that. I mean Are you an Old. Testament guy or New Testament guy? Uh. probably. equal. I think it's just an incredible. The whole Bible is an incredible. I joke.
uh very much so. They always hold up The. Art of the Deal. I say my second. favorite book of all time. But uh I just. think the Bible is just something very. special. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to wield power. in a post-Trump world. The book explores.
what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're lucky. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by following. the link on this screen. You can grab. yours from any of the major retailers. like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or. scroll down on the page and get a copy. from an independent bookstore closest to.
you. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
