OMG: Trump issues INSANE announcement | Another Day
Republicans pile on after Grant Platner. drops out of the race for Senate. You. see, they simply cannot abide a. politician with such a checkered past. This is just another day. While Donald Trump seems to always find. a way to evade justice, yesterday his. luck ran out. >> A federal judge ordered that more than. $5 million in damages be released to. writer E. Jean Carroll stemming from her. case against President Trump. The money. has been held in escrow since a jury. found the president sexually abused her.
in the 1990s and then defamed her after. she revealed the attack. >> Finally, vindication and justice for E. Jean Carroll. But also, what a terrible. day for Republicans who were finally. forced to acknowledge that all the. courts determined Donald Trump, the. leader of their party, was liable for. sexual abuse. >> There were multiple credible allegations. against him that would be discrediting. for everybody. >> We've known that he's been a bad. candidate from the beginning and pretty. clearly a bad guy. >> If you're into political scandals, might.
I recommend a Google search on Grant. Platner. >> How can you possibly trust a party that. is basically willing to lie to you and. tell you that this guy is okay? >> And they found the biggest scumbag they. possibly could. >> Hey, that's not true. Democrats found. the biggest scumbag who was available. But, that's right. On the same day that. Maine's Democratic Senate candidate. Grant Platner dropped out of the race. after rightfully losing support from. Democrats due to rape accusations, the. Republican president was ordered to pay.
$5 million after being found liable for. sexual abuse and lost absolutely no. support whatsoever. Now, I am no. defender of Grant Platner. I join with. so many other Democrats in saying. someone like that doesn't deserve or. should even be allowed to serve in our. government. But others, let's just say. they see it a little bit differently. >> I'm sure your question of whether or not. you believe the woman. A lot of people. say big falsehoods. It's a. he's in a bind.
He's in a bind. >> Amazing. We found the one issue on Earth. that transcends politics for Trump, denying credible sexual assault. allegations from a woman. And therein. lies the difference between our nation's. two political parties, how allegations. like these are treated once they. surface, which is to say whether they're. dealt with swiftly or whether they're. ignored entirely. Not that any of the. Republicans necessarily see that. difference. >> The one thing I know about Republicans, when we had a very bad candidate and.
found out, we didn't vote for that. person. >> Is that right? I may be dreaming, but. I'm pretty sure this man that you're. featured with easily scored your vote. And he also scored some of your hang. time down in Florida at a pretty. questionable moment in our nation's. history. >> Two weeks ago, Republicans were. condemning Donald Trump after the deadly. attack on the US Capitol. Now some. already appear to be softening their. stance, rolling it back. The latest. example, House Minority Leader Kevin. McCarthy. He met with the former.
president at his Florida resort. yesterday. >> I guess getting Kevin McCarthy's. endorsement comes down to the three B's. You got to be cool with beating cops, beating charges, and beating a steady. drum of Now I'm not a doctor, so I can't confidently diagnose cases of. amnesia, but it would seem to me that. right now Republicans are experiencing a. pretty strong case of it. Ever since. Grant Pflugner dropped out, the GOP has. been pouncing. Their official page. tweeted, "Every Democrat that endorsed. Grant Pflugner endorsed a rapist." But.
if that's true, shouldn't they adjust. some of the other content on their page? Right now their pinned tweet says this, but shouldn't it really say this? Even their choice of people to speak on. this topic strikes me as a bit um odd. >> Here to discuss this is Dan Bongino, Fox. News contributor, former FBI deputy. director. >> Oh, great. Who better to address this. case of women being abused than the man. who helped run cover for people who. abused women? Please, do go on. >> The acquisition of power by any by any.
and I want to emphasize the any means. necessary for the new collectivist left. is the only guiding principle. They. don't care about your kids and the. multiple allegations from multiple. women. I mean, whatever happened to Me. Too? I thought that was a thing. >> Uh it is a thing. Me Too is about taking. a stand against a permissive culture. that for far too long looked the other. way on allegations of rape and sexual. assault. It is about holding men to. account for their actions like this.
>> Several top Democrats asking Plater to. get out of the race. >> One of Plater's most high profile. backers, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, is urging him to step aside. >> I believe that it's time for him to drop. out of the race. And let me say that. clearly, I think he should step aside. >> Can you hear the difference, Dan? The. difference between members of government. telling someone who has been accused of. rape to drop out of this race. and this? >> What an incredible honor to welcome back. to the show for the first time on the. new Dan Bongino show, the most. transformative president my lifetime and.
frankly probably any other lifetime. either, President Donald J. Trump. Mr. President, thank you so much for joining. us today. We appreciate it. >> Well, thank you very much, Dan, and you. too. >> Mr. President, again, it was a. tremendous honor. I cannot thank you. enough. >> The only version of Me Too that Dan. Bongino understands is the one where he. hears his fellow Republican saying how. much they love ignoring decades of. sexual abuse allegations against Donald. Trump and Bongino chimes in with, "Hey, Me Too.". For some reason, Fox News, otherwise.
known as Donald Trump's blow job. factory, doesn't seem to notice the. hypocrisy in their glee over Grant. Plater's demise. In fact, they're not. even judicious about what footage. they're airing. Fox News is airing footage of Grand. Pappy not at his house that anybody else. would quickly delete from their Nest. Cam. But on the same day, they'll. happily champion the renaming of an. airport after our sexual.
assaulter-in-chief. >> The next time you fly into South. Florida, you'll notice a change. It is. now President Donald J. Trump. International Airport. >> Eric Trump celebrated the milestone by. taking the first flight into the the. newly renamed airport yesterday. And he. joins us now live from DJT. What a great. [laughter] honor for your family, Eric? >> Yes, a terrific honor. Ideally, with. just a few more airports, buildings, and. roads with Trump's name attached, Americans will completely forget his.
long history of abuse toward women. But. if you're looking for the pièce de. résistance of tone deafness, look no. further than Mr. Rafael Ted Cruz. The. fact that he uh. had a prior girlfriend accuse him of. being uh emotionally, verbally abusive, that didn't scare him away. The fact. that he used repeated racist uh insults, attacked African-Americans, Democrats. were just fine with that. The fact that. he was a vicious misogynist, no problem. with that at all.
Uh the fact that he attacked. a decorated combat veteran. >> Yeah. >> and he said he wished that the veteran. had died. Well, the Democrats were just. hunky-dory with that. >> Just so we're clear, Ted Cruz thinks. it's deplorable to have a politician be. verbally abusive to women. >> Why don't why don't you answer the. question why why do you. >> Cruz thinks it's shameful for a. politician to be racist. >> Days after posting a blatantly racist. depiction of former President Barack. Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama as. apes, President Trump says he will not.
apologize. >> Cruz thinks vicious misogyny has no. place in our government. >> You got it, Justice. >> worse reporter. No wonder CNN has no. ratings because of people like you. You. know, she's a young woman. I don't think. I've ever seen you smile. I've known you. for 10 years. I don't think I've ever. seen a smile on your. >> asking you about survivorism and Jeffrey. Epstein and that. >> Cuz you know you're not telling the. truth. >> Ann Coulter believes attacking decorated. combat veterans is one of the most. reprehensible things that someone can. do.
>> He's not a war hero. >> hero. >> He's a war hero. >> Five and a half years he. >> He's a war hero cuz he was captured. >> Again, these things are deplorable, but. the difference is Democrats tell the. people who do those things to drop out, whereas Ted Cruz. >> with Donald Trump in the White House, and God bless President Trump. >> Don't worry, Ted. I think God already. did. How else do you explain a racist, misogynist, sexually abusive con artist. getting elected president twice? The reality is there is a giant chasm.
between Democrats and Republicans when. it comes to what each party feels is. acceptable in politics and in our. culture as a whole. The difference being. Democrats do their best to find people. and candidates who are not shitty, but. if they turn out to be, they're shown. the door. Representative Eric Swalwell. suspended his bid for governor and. resigned after accusations. Former New. York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. resigned after accusations. Representative John Conyers stepped down. after accusations. But on the other side. of the aisle, Pete Hegseth's abuse.
allegations got him promoted. Matt. Gaetz's allegations that he paid. underage girls to sleep with him got him. an offer to be our next Attorney. General. And the creme de la creme of. sexual abusers has been given free reign. by his party to loot our country for his. own personal profit. Republicans can try. all they want to ignore their blatant. double standard when it comes to how. much they care about the character of. their candidates, but the proof is in. the pudding. So, the main question. remains, >> how can you possibly trust a party that. is basically willing to lie to you and.
tell you that this guy is okay? >> I couldn't agree more. >> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're fortunate.
enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by visiting. the link in the episode description or. go to briantylercohen.com/book. You can grab yours from any of the major. retailers like Amazon or Barnes & Noble. or find an independent bookstore closest. to you that's also listed on that. website.
