OMG: Trump HUMILIATES himself with Labor Day announcement

It looks like Donald Trump finally found. the winning issue he was looking for as. we head to midterms. He spent his Labor. Day honing that narrative and I think he. is pretty proud of what he came up with. considering this is what filled his. Truth Social feed today. An announcement. that he was now considering renaming New. Mexico to New America. There was also. this and this and this and this and this. and this. Oh, and for good measure, here.

is Donald Trump seeking to rename the. entire continent into the United States. of America, apparently suggesting that. now we're not just going to settle with. Greenland and Venezuela, we're going to. take over the entirety of North America. In other words, you might not have lower. prices, you might not have cheaper gas, you might not have affordable health. care, you might not have any food. assistance, you might be contending with. sky-high utility bills, there might be. no accountability for Epstein's. co-conspirators, but I think we can all. agree that renaming things after America.

is a pretty effective substitute. Am I. right? The most insane part of all of. this is that this comes after he. contended with an avalanche of ridicule. for his previous announcement on this. exact topic. >> And finally, I guess the purpose of this. more than anything else is we're going. to be. changing the name of Lake Ontario. effective immediately to Lake America. That's going to take place right now as. I sign the order. Do you have anything.

It directs Secretary Bergum and. the Department of the Interior to update. the geographic names information service. to reflect that Lake once known as Lake. Ontario will uh from this day forward be. known as Lake America. This is a lake. that has most of its volume in the. United States. just rename Earth itself? Been a while. since that had a brand update. Perhaps. that could be on the table. I'm. surprised he doesn't just rename the. galaxy if it means that Donald Trump. could distract from the fact that he is. coddling pedophiles and presiding over a. miserable economy. And that is the point. Donald Trump will. do anything other than the things that. he actually promised to people. This guy. doesn't give a about regular. Americans. This is about his ego, his. legacy. He wants to do things that will. outlast him. He wants to be remembered,

wants to leave his mark. And so he's. taking big swings with splashy stuff. like renaming bodies of water and. erecting monuments like the ballroom and. the triumphal arch because they will be. physical manifestations of his power and. his legacy. But he knows he has to do it. now himself because no one's going to do. it for him. No one's going to honor the. most divisive, racist, misogynistic, incompetent president in US history once. he leaves office. Nobody's going to. honor the guy who destroyed the US.

economy twice and embroiled us in a. brand new war in the Middle East so that. he could siphon military defense. contracts to his kids. He will. be remembered for ushering in the second. gilded age and tripling his own net. worth. So because nobody else is going. to lift a finger to honor him, he knows. that he has to do it himself. Hence all. of his big splashy renaming things. But. remember, while he's doing this, you. know what he's not doing? Anything for. regular people. He's not lowering costs. He's not curbing inflation. Not making.

groceries or housing more affordable. Not ending foreign wars. Not releasing. the Epstein files. Quite literally all. of the things he campaigned on have. either remained the same or gotten. worse. What do you What do your receipts. look like from the supermarket? How. about the gas station? What about your. electricity bills? Your gas bills? How. does it make you feel that while you're. focused on those things, Trump is. renaming a lake and a gulf and states. because he wants to retaliate against. our closest allies in Canada and our.

closest allies in Mexico. If this guy. was any less focused on regular people, he wouldn't even acknowledge their. existence. So look, I truly do not give a. about what a state or a gulf or a lake. is called. And the reality is that most. Americans don't either. What we all care. about are exactly the things that Trump. campaigned on. But since the second he took power, he's. ignored all of those things and began. working to help himself. His ballroom, his arch, his helipad, his golden.

crusted Oval Office, his crypto scheme, his military defense contracts, his face. on passports and buildings and other. presidents' memorials. This entire. presidency is about one guy. He. campaigned as a populist, but he governs. like a king. And worst yet, his party. lets him. Remember, these Republican. senators and lawmakers are in a coequal. branch of government. They have autonomy. to step in to help their own. constituents, to demand that something, anything, improve. To make good on their.

own campaign promises. No Democrats in. the majority anywhere to gum up the. works. And yet instead of exercising. that power, that autonomy, they've. contracted every ounce of it to the. executive branch as Donald Trump pilfers. the government so that he can help. himself. They wouldn't even prevent the. guy from suing his own IRS for $10. billion. That was fine by them, 100%. acceptable. But God forbid we had health. care. God forbid we could afford food. God forbid housing was cheaper. If there.

was any doubt about who this government. serves, you don't even have to believe. me. Just believe your own wallets. This. is what Republican governance gets you. And there are no Democrats in power to. pin the blame on. Something to remember. as we head to the polls less than 2. months from now. >> [music].
