OMG: Trump FALLS ASLEEP during NBA Finals Game 3
Just so that you can understand what's. happening here, Trump decided that he. needed to go to game three of the NBA. finals, which meant that 19,000 fans had. to get there two hours early. It also. meant that the vicinity around Madison. Square Garden had to be closed to any. and all watch parties, and it turned. what should have been a non-partisan. event into yet another partisan circus. But despite all of that, Trump went. anyway, only to basically fall asleep. once he got there.
>> [cheering]. >> He needed to go to the game to do that? To struggle to stay awake? Doesn't he. have the White House to do that in? >> forms. of a job, an economy, a community, a. family. And for too long, >> See, he could have just stayed home if.
the plan was just to struggle to stay. awake anyway. It's also worth noting. that the Knicks lost game three, snapping a staggering 13-game win. streak, the second longest in NBA. history. Now, I'm not saying that it's. Donald Trump's fault that the Knicks. lost, but I am saying that the Knicks were. perfect in this series only up until the. moment that Donald Trump showed up. You. can draw your own conclusions from that. Although it is worth noting that Trump. was already unpopular before he fell. asleep at the Knicks game and basically.
jinxed his own team. This is what the. stadium looked like just hours earlier. when his face first appeared on the. jumbotron. >> Whose broad stripes. and bright. stars. through the perilous. fight, for. o'er.
>> [screaming]. >> So yeah, it's not like the guy was Al. Roker before the game, but I can assure. you if New Yorkers are looking to blame. anyone for jinxing the team after, Trump.
just became public enemy number one. Just a quick note here to say that if. you appreciate my work, which is and. always will be 100% free, a small ask is. if you could please pre-order my new. book The Day After, which explores how. Democrats must finally wield power if. they're fortunate enough to get it back. I'll also be on tour in DC, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and LA in July. You can grab tickets to the tour and you. can pre-order the book at the same link, which I'll put on the screen and in the. post description of this video. Again, I'll never pay wall a single piece of.
content, but this is the one time that. I'll ask for some support for a book. that I think really meets this moment. Thanks so much. In fact, some New. Yorkers are already blaming Trump. Case. in point, >> Only one thing to say, Trump jinx. >> Although I should probably note that. it's not a given that NBA fans will. blindly boo any politician. Need some. proof of that? Here's one that probably. won't sit too well with sleepy Don. >> Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a big. Toronto welcome to the 44th PRESIDENT OF.
THE UNITED STATES. It's Mr. Barack. Obama! >> [screaming]. >> Welcome! WELCOME! WELCOME TO THE GAME, MR. BARACK OBAMA! >> THAT WAS THE LAST TIME A PRESIDENT. attended an NBA Finals game. Barack. Obama in 2019 for Raptors versus.
Warriors. No boos, all cheers. Or how. about just a few months ago at the. All-Star game in Los Angeles? >> [cheering]. >> Again, no boos, all cheers. It's almost. like, and bear with me on this one, it's.
not a knee-jerk reaction to ruthlessly. boo all presidents, just the ones who. suck. But, you know what? I'm actually. glad that Donald Trump was in. attendance, even if he was only. conscious for some small portion of it, because hearing that arena boo him into. oblivion is a dose of cold water that. allowed him to confront what the rest of. us already know, that he is unpopular, that he is unwanted, that he is a loser, and the con is up. Everybody knows that. Donald Trump is in it for himself. He. doesn't care about Americans across the. country any more than he cares about the.
inconvenience he posed to New Yorkers at. this game. Trump's presidency is about. one man, Donald Trump, the glutton who. thinks that the sun and earth revolve. around him, so that he can sit on high. in his golden tower, either in the White. House or Trump Tower, or even at this. NBA Finals game, nodding off while. calling everybody else sleepy. A truly. reprehensible human who now has the. distinct honor of being responsible for. jinxing his own team in the NBA Finals.
>> [music]. >> Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores.
what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward: power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to. wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're lucky. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by following. the link on this screen. You can grab. yours for any of the major retailers. like Amazon and Barnes & Noble or scroll. down on the page and get a copy from an. independent bookstore closest to you.
Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
