OMG: Trump drops BOMBSHELL confession about his new war
In one of the most stunning updates on. the war with Iran, here's what Donald. Trump just said this morning. For the. strike on the school in Iran, a military. A new report says the military. investigation has found it was the. United States that struck the school. I don't know about it. Quote, I don't know about it. That's it. That's the That's the whole answer. The. president of the United States, the. commander in chief, was asked about a. new report showing that the US was. responsible for bombing a school in. Iran, and his answer was, "I don't know. about it." Forget some shallow assurance.
that he's looking into it. There's not. even a morsel of remorse, as if somebody. asked him about a fender bender in a. parking lot two towns over, and not an. alleged war crime committed in his name. So, let me tell you what we're actually. talking about here. On the first day of. the US strikes on Iran, a missile struck. a girls elementary school. The girls'. ages ranged from 7 to 12. They were in. class. Parents arrived afterwards. searching for their children among the. dead. At least 168 children and 14. teachers were killed. And the evidence.
that this was an American missile. >> In this freeze-frame, you can see it. clearly. Weapons experts tell CNN the. wings and tail are consistent with a. Tomahawk missile. Video geolocated by. CNN shows what munitions experts. identified as consistent with American. Tomahawk land attack missile striking. the area, and only US Navy operates. Tomahawk missiles. Trump administration. officials told members of Congress in a. closed-door meeting that the US had been. targeting the area where the school was. struck. And when a reporter pointed out. that he was the only person in his own. government claiming that Iran bombed its.
own school with a weapon that Iran. doesn't even have, Trump said, "I just. don't know enough about it." It's always. funny how certain people are so. desperate to cling onto power, and yet. so unwilling to take responsibility for. it when they wield it. Now, I want to be. fair. Maybe Trump genuinely doesn't know. about it. He seems to mostly be. interested in drapes and ballrooms. anyway. And honestly, that might be the. most damning version of this story, because if the commander in chief. doesn't know that the US may have bombed. a school, that tells you everything you.
need to know about how this so-called. war, or incursion, or whatever you're. calling it today, is actually being run. Which brings me to the next part, because the confusion around what is. even happening right now is completely. staggering. Half the White House is. calling this a war, the other half is. calling it an incursion. These are not. synonyms. These are not interchangeable. terms. A war is a war, an incursion is a. limited military operation. The. distinction matters. Legally, constitutionally, and in terms of what. the American people are owed in the way. of transparency and accountability. It's.
our tax dollars that are funding this, by the way. And yet, depending on which. aid walked out which door and which. morning, you get a completely different. answer about what America is actually. doing in Iran. And Trump himself, he's. given us both versions. On one hand, he's told us that it's mostly over. We. took a little excursion because we felt. we had to do that to get rid of some. evil. On Iran, you called it an. excursion, you said it would be over. soon. Are you thinking this week it will. be over? Are you talking about days? >> I think so. Okay, and and with respect.
>> Very soon. And on the other hand, he's. told us that it could take forever. Whatever the time is, it's okay. Whatever it takes, we will always. and we have from right from the. beginning, we projected 4 to 5 weeks. But we have capability to go far longer. than that. We'll do it. Mostly over and. could take forever, from the same. person, about the same conflict, within. days of each other. This isn't nuance, it's not strategy. This is a man who has. no idea what's going on, making it up as.
he goes, and hoping that the news cycle. moves fast enough that nobody notices. the contradiction. I mean, hell, even. Fox's Peter Doocy seems to be confused. >> You just said it is a little excursion, and you said it is a war. So, which one. is it? Well, it's both. It's both. It's. a. an excursion that will keep us out of a. war. And the war is going to be uh. I mean, for them it's a war. For us it's. uh. Turned out to be easier than we thought. In fact, I brought this point up on News.
Nation just last night. >> When he put forth peace agreements, when. he actually ended wars, I don't think. you gave him any credit for that, either. So, let's be consistent. If you. want him to end wars, you want him to do. that. >> That's the problem. The problem is I I I. watched Donald Trump on the campaign. trail basically disparage on a daily. basis the prospect of all of these other. politicians, not like him, not these. populists like Donald J. Trump, who were. engaging in all of these foreign wars in. the Middle East. And yet, here we are. We have dead Americans, we have rising. oil prices, and we have a war with no.
clear objective, no clear plan. Half the. administration's calling it a war, the. other half is calling it some, you know, incursion or excursion. They don't even. know what the this thing is called. And. yet, you're you're you're you're. suggesting that I'm not being consistent. when we watched Donald Trump say one. thing on the campaign trail and do. another when he's in office. >> But, here's what we do know. People are. dying. That part isn't confusing. That. part isn't up for debate. American. service members have lost their lives in. this conflict, this war, this incursion, whatever we're calling it today. And the.
president can't give you a straight. answer about what it is, how long it'll. last, or apparently, even what's being. bombed. If you think that that's. acceptable because you happen to like. Donald Trump, I'd ask you to do a very. simple thought experiment. Imagine. Barack Obama said, "I don't know about. it." when asked about a bombing that. left over 160 kids dead. Imagine the. wall-to-wall coverage. Imagine the. congressional hearings. Imagine the. outrage. It would be, and rightfully so, a five-alarm political crisis. But, because it's Trump, his mouthpieces are. silent. And while all of this confusion.
reigns, while the White House can't even. agree on what to call this thing, Americans at home are feeling it, too. And they're feeling it mostly at the gas. pump. Gas prices are right now surging. And look, I'm not going to pretend that. gas prices are exclusively determined by. presidential policy, but I am going to. point out that this is the same guy who. stood on stage across America and told. you that he would lower energy costs on. day one. I will unleash energy. independence and we will bring the price. of gasoline down immediately. So, we're. going to get your gas prices down. And.
we will, ready? Drill, baby, drill. >> [cheering]. >> Going to get your energy way way down. You're going to spend a lot less money. for your. for your gasoline. You have that special. stuff. We will unleash American energy. and bring prices way down fast. And. instead, we've got a murky, undefined. military engagement in the Middle East. with no clear objective, no clear end. point, no clear chain of command, apparently, since the commander in chief. is learning about school bombings from.
reporters, and gas prices climbing while. everyday Americans try to figure out how. to make it work. There is no plan here. That's the through line. That's what. connects I don't know about it to the. dueling definitions, to the. contradictory timelines, to the surging. gas prices. There is no plan. There. never was. There is vibes, there's. bravado, there's whatever plays well on. Fox News that night, but a coherent. military strategy with clear objectives. and accountability and transparency, not. a chance. So, the next time someone.
tells you that Donald Trump is a strong. leader, ask them what the plan is in. Iran. Ask them if it's a war or an. incursion. Ask them when it ends. Ask. them why Americans are dying without a. defined mission. And then ask them what. the president said this morning when. confronted with evidence that we may. have bombed a school. I don't know about. it. Neither do we, and that is the whole. problem. >> [music]. >> Before you go, if you enjoyed this. content and you want to see more and. support independent media, please. subscribe to this channel.
