OMG: Trump drops BOMBSHELL announcement on his war
Okay, stop what you're doing and watch. this. I'm doing something about it. And. I had to take an excursion. We had the. greatest economy in history. We do We. still do. Oh, this will bounce right. back. When it's over, and I don't think. it's going to be long, when it's over, this is going to bounce right back so. fast. >> When are you going to know when it's. over? Is When I feel it. Okay. >> it in my bones. >> Will you ask anybody in particular? Would that be some of these a joint. decision? >> with people. I have great people. When I. feel it in my bones. Hey, good news, America. We're at war until Colonel My.
Bones tell me we've won makes the final. call. The global world order is being. upended using the same science as when. your elderly neighbor predicts that it's. going to rain. Do you feel confident in. our leadership yet? And I say all of. that tongue in cheek, but the reality is. that 13 Americans have died. 140. Americans have been wounded. This really. isn't a joke. And frankly, these. Americans deserve better than a command. structure that will determine when the. war is over based on what they feel in. their bones. And look, this.
shouldn't come as a surprise at all. This president has been nothing if not. completely ambiguous about the timeline. of this war, or incursion, or excursion, or whatever they're calling it, because. frankly, they don't seem to be able to. tell the difference. I mean, hell, even. Fox's Peter Doocy seems to be confused. You just said it is a little excursion, and you said it is a war. So, which one. is it? Well, it's both. It's both. It's. a. an excursion that will keep us out of a. war. And the war is going to be uh.
I mean, for them it's a war, for us it's. uh. Turned out to be easier than we thought. But think of it, they had thousands of. missiles, 7, 8,000 missiles. We got many of them before they got to. launch. They have drones all over the place. We. got many. Now we're knocking out the. drone plants, as you know. It's going. fast. Uh they started talking about. mines, so we hit 28 mine ships as of. this moment, 28. Like uh using the same weapon, the exact.
same weapon that we use against the. drug dealers in the order in the water. In fact, I brought up this point on. NewsNation just days ago. When he put. forth peace agreements, when he actually. ended wars, I don't think you gave him. any credit for that, either. So, let's. be consistent. If you want him to end. wars, >> I am I am being consistent. That's the. problem. The problem is I I I watched. Donald Trump on the campaign trail. basically disparage on a daily basis the. prospect of all of these other. politicians, not like him, not these. populists like Donald J. Trump, who were.
engaging in all of these foreign wars in. the Middle East. And yet, here we are. We have dead Americans, we have rising. oil prices, and we have a war with no. clear objective, no clear plan. Half the. administration's calling it a war, the. other half is calling it some, you know, incursion or excursion. They don't even. know what the this thing is called. And. yet, you're you're you're you're. suggesting that I'm not being consistent. when we watched Donald Trump say one. thing on the campaign trail and do. another when he's in office. To be. clear, the difference between a war and. an incursion is that it's Congress's job. to declare war. Trump obviously isn't.
interested in giving Congress its say, and Mike Johnson and John Thune are. perfectly content to serve as Trump's. doormats. So, they all think that just. playing a game of semantics is enough to. give them the legal cover they need to. allow Trump full authority to declare. war without technically declaring war. And then, of course, the difference in. an incursion and an excursion is that. one has to do with military strikes, and. the other is what you do for a day trip. while on vacation. But, of course, Trump. is a so he says. excursion, which is almost better than.
what Mike Johnson's doing. >> This was a limited operation, an. excursion. The sad part is that Mike. Johnson knows better. But, coddling. Donald Trump, a grown-ass man, is. clearly more important than speaking. like a full-grown adult. I swear to God, if Trump thought Mike Johnson's name was. Brad Bronson, Johnson would legally. change his name before he would actually. correct the guy. But, look, this. ambiguity is a recurring theme. For. weeks, he has been telling us that it's. mostly over. >> We took a little excursion because we. felt we had to do that to get rid of. some evil. >> On Iran, you called it an excursion. You.
said it would be over soon. Are you. thinking this week it will be over or. are you talking about days? >> I think so. >> Okay. And then on the other hand, he's. also told us that it could take forever. Whatever the time is, it's okay. Whatever it takes, we will always. and we have from right from the begin. beginning, we projected 4 to 5 weeks. But uh we have capability to go far. longer than that. >> Mostly over, could take forever. From. the same person about the same conflict.
within days of each other. This isn't. exactly nuance or strategy. This is a. guy who has no idea what's going on, making it up as he goes, and hoping that. the news cycle moves fast enough that. nobody notices the contradiction. And. let's be clear, it's not just Americans. who are dying in this war. The US. conducted a strike that killed over 160. kids at a school. And here's what the. guy in charge had to say about that. >> A new report says that the military. investigation has found that the United. States struck the school in Iran. As. commander-in-chief, do you take.
responsibility for that? That is what? What is As commander-in-chief, do you. >> For what? For the strike on the school. in Iran. A military A new report says. the military investigation has found it. was the United States that struck the. school. I don't know about it. Quote, I don't know about it. That's it. That's the answer. President of the. United States, the commander-in-chief, was asked about a new report showing. that the US was responsible for bombing. a school in Iran, and his answer was I. don't know about it. Forget some shallow.
assurance that he might actually be on. top of what's going on. He's not even. showing a morsel of remorse. He is as. interested as he would be if someone got. a parking ticket in San Diego. Could not. care less. But here's what we do know. People are dying. That part isn't. confusing. That part isn't up for. debate. More than a dozen American. service members have now lost their. lives in this conflict, this war, this. incursion, whatever they're calling it. today, and the president cannot give you. a straight answer about what it is, how. long it'll last, or apparently even. what's being bombed. And if you think.
that's acceptable because you happen to. like the guy, I'd ask you to do a very. simple thought experiment. Imagine. Barack Obama said, "I don't know about. it." when asked about a bombing that. left over 160 kids dead. Imagine the. wall-to-wall coverage, the congressional. hearings, the outrage. It would be, and. rightfully so, a five-alarm political. crisis. But because it's Trump, his. mouthpieces are dead silent. And while. all of this confusion continues to. reign, while the White House can't even. agree on what to call this thing, Americans at home are feeling it, too.
Gas prices are now surging, and while. gas prices are generally not determined. by presidential policy, this is one. instance where the president is directly. responsible for the rise in gas prices, which is especially ironic considering. this is the same guy who stood on stages. across America and told you that he'd. lower gas prices on day one. >> I will unleash energy independence and. we will bring the price of gasoline down. immediately. So, we're going to get your. gas prices down. And we will, ready, drill, baby, drill.
>> [cheering]. >> Going to get your energy way way down. You're going to spend a lot less money. for your. for your gasoline. You have that special. stuff. We will unleash American energy. and bring prices way down fast. And. instead, we've got a murky, undefined. military engagement in the Middle East. with no clear objective, no clear end. point, no clear chain of command, apparently, since the commander-in-chief. is learning about school bombings from. reporters, and gas prices climbing while. everyday Americans try and figure out.
how to make it work. There is no plan. here. That's the through-line. That's. what connects "I don't know about it.". to the dueling definitions, to the. contradictory timelines, to the surge in. gas prices. There is no plan, there. never was. There is whatever errant. synapse fires in Trump's brain at any. given moment in time. But a coherent. military strategy with clear objectives. and accountability and transparency, not. a chance. So the next time somebody. tells you that Donald Trump is a strong. leader, ask them what the plan is in. Iran. Ask them if it's a war or an.
incursion or an excursion. Ask them when. it ends. Ask them why Americans are. dying without a defined mission. And. then ask them if feeling it in their. bones is the way to conduct a war. because I think we all know the answer. to that question. >> [music]. >> Before you go, if you enjoyed this. content and you want to see more and. support independent media, please. subscribe to this channel.
