OMG: Trump drops announcement that screws his ENTIRE party before midterms
If you were to engineer the single worst. announcement that Donald Trump could. issue before midterms, it would probably. be what he posted today on Truth Social. Quote, "The only reason that communities. throughout the USA should not want data. centers is if they want to end up being. backwards and poor. If they want to be. successful and rich with far lower taxes. and jobs all over the place, let data. rain. The good news is that there are. plenty of other places that want them. If we kill the golden goose, you will. only have yourselves to blame. China. would not be happier with this anti-data. center movement. Actually, they can't.
believe it is happening. President DJT.". So, apparently, if you don't want a data. center moving into your town, jacking up. your electricity cost, destroying your. water pressure, and subjecting you to. the constant and inescapable hum of its. generators, then you are backwards and. poor. A message handed on down from the. president of the United States. And. let's be clear, this is not a popular. position by any stretch of the. imagination. As you can see from this. chart, seven in 10 Americans oppose.
local construction of data centers. And. among Republicans specifically, that. number is 63%. So, it's unpopular among his base and. the general electorate. But still, he's. forcing his party to embrace his. unpopular position because he doesn't. care about Americans. He cares about the. special interests who own him. And. clearly, he's got friends who are. pushing him to legislate in their favor. So, of course, now that the clarion call. has been issued from on high by Donald. Trump, all of his underlings have begun.
regurgitating this message. >> Bonnie AI, President Trump today said. that Americans should get on board with. wanting more data centers. How does How do you think that message. goes over for them ahead of the. midterms, where this is becoming kind of. a touch point issue? >> Well, what the president said about data. centers is they're an important part of. the AI economy. What When people build. them, they have to build the power. plants along with the data centers. I. think probably 99% of the backlash to. data centers has come in areas where. building a data center meets higher.
utility and higher electricity for the. people on the ground. So, I think what. these companies have to do is take. advantage of some of the federal. deregulatory efforts that we've. undertaken. If you build a data center, you should be putting power back into. the grid, not taking it out. And if that. is happening, I don't think the data. centers are that controversial. It's. when the utility bills get so much. higher, that's when it's a real problem. >> What's your message for President Trump. who says voters will regret rejecting. these data centers in their communities. moving forward? Do you like that.
messaging from the president? >> Look, the bottom line is it's like with. any development project. If you want the. jobs, if you want the tax revenue, then. it's a good deal for your community, then say yeah. Other people don't want. it. I have seen there are literally. communities in our state that have. welcomed data centers who are seeing. their local property taxes get cut. dramatically as a result of the new. revenue that comes in. If you want that, if that's what you want for your. community, then then do it. If you If.
you'd like to continue to have. the things the way they are, then do. that as well. This is not a federal. issue. The What the federal government. needs to do is make sure that they they. have the energy and that the data. centers are producing their own energy. for this. for. these facilities so that the burden's. not passed on to the citizens, but I. don't want the federal government to be. telling local people whether they can or. can't have a data center. That should be. up to them. >> So, if this farm is 150 acres, yeah,
there're going to be farms. And there. will be transmission lines that have to. go through developments and farms. That's the very nature of a growing. economy. Like. that. Everybody needs to get on board. I just. don't It's a You know what? Buy a fake tree. >> Oh. >> Oh. >> Oh, digger right in my heart. >> What? I have a fake tree. >> And oh. >> Oh, it has a. real tree. I'm going to have no time for. this. I know, I can't afford the tree.
>> We'll we'll hit this. Two the divide is the. between winners. and whiners. Between those who want America to win. and those who want America to whine. >> Families are worried about the data. centers. They've been doing things Every. time you do something on a data center,
I get emails from every side of it. So, this one of the more intriguing issues. as opposed to the knee-jerk issues of. common sense. >> Well, it is, but you you also got to. remember that this opposition to data. centers is not organic. This is This is. being ginned up the same way that we saw. opposition to energy projects around the. country. You know, they're trying to. build a new nuclear plant. All of a. sudden, people come out of the woodwork. and they hate nuclear. >> No subsidies. Tax breaks, but no. subsidies. >> think that makes a lot [clears throat]. of sense. >> Uh you know, Mr. Secretary, a lot of.
Americans are skeptical of data centers. They've heard a lot of horror stories. about various things. For the people who are watching right. now, who have concerns, what would you. like to say to them? Is Yeah, of course there's a fear. campaign going on right now. And why. it's going on is the Democrats, since. the election of President Obama, have. spent 17 years pushing up electricity. prices. Blue states have 50% higher. electricity prices than red states. And.
now they figure they've got the perfect. scapegoat. It wasn't our bad green. policies, it was data centers that did. it. >> Yes, the real problem here is Barack. Obama. Exactly. Of course, once you. leave the right-wing bubble of. mouthpieces and sycophants, you'll get a. better sense of where Americans actually. are on this issue. >> A major tech company recently approached. them hoping to buy their land for a data. center. >> And we turned them down. >> Yeah. >> There was not enough money to buy my. farmland that's been here for 175 years.
>> But the company hasn't let up. >> We don't feel free anymore. It's like. we don't have a decision for our future. We're being told what our future is. going to be. >> And these farmers say their livelihood. is at stake. >> You're not going to grow corn, soybeans, and wheat here because it's going to be. a desert. It's going to be value all the. property around you. >> They're going to deplete the water. They're going to deplete our ability to. grow food. for everybody. by getting rid of farmland. It's way.
bigger than everybody thinks. >> They say a data center would bring. pollution like noise and light. destroying the only life they've ever. known. >> But it's quiet out here. People know each other. You know, you. you know who moves in, you know? I mean, oh, you lived here for 25 years, you're. the new person in the neighborhood. >> We owe it to all our community. It's. going to take everybody to stand up and. say they're fed up. >> So, you better join the fight now. because it's going to be on your.
doorstep next. >> And here's AOC explaining it on behalf. of people in Georgia. >> This is the current drinking water. in Morgan County, Georgia. uh right after a data center was. constructed the meta data center was. constructed. The only difference. between the clean water and this was. that data center. I have another one as well. So, this. wasn't just one well, these wasn't just. one family's um.
situation. This is what the drinking. water now looks like next to that data. center. >> [clears throat]. >> And I think both of us can agree that. neither one of these things are. drinkable. These families now have to. ship in a rural area have to ship water. to their house in order to cook and and. bathe themselves. >> I mean hell, even Thomas Massie took to. Twitter and wrote, "New directive from. the leader, MAGA is required to support. all data centers, no questions asked.".
So look, you should not be surprised. that Donald Trump is embracing unpopular. policy that only hurts regular Americans. but helps him because quite literally. everything he does is unpopular policy. that helps him but hurts regular. Americans. He swore to lower prices and. instead launched a trade war that sent. the cost of everything surging. He swore. no new wars in the Middle East and then. bombed Iran 6 months ago and has kept up. this campaign which has sent gas prices. and inflation surging. He swore he'd. release the Epstein files and is now. covering them up. He promised to protect.
health care and cut it from tens of. millions of Americans. There is quite. literally no policy that has helped. regular people that he has passed. Meanwhile, he has made billions in his. personal capacity. He has a $450 million. war chest for himself. That is what this. data center move is about. He is wholly. owned by the billionaires who he once. pretended to rail against but he was. never against them. He just knew it was. easy enough to fool the rubes gullible. enough to believe him and now that he.
has power he's showing his true colors. and the rest of his party has chosen. blind allegiance to the god king over. loyalty to their own constituents. And. let's be clear, those constituents are. paying attention and they're going to. send a message to those Republicans just. over 60 days from now who they support. in this battle between Donald Trump and. themselves. >> [music]. >> Before you go, one quick request. It's. become clear to me that this White House. is dead set on preventing me from. reaching any audience. Trump's decision.
to put me as the first name on his. enemies list is a testament to that. But. it didn't quiet down then and I won't do. it now. So, please do me a favor and. subscribe to this channel, hit the. notification bell to be alerted when I. post new content, and tune in when I. publish videos so that they get picked. up in the algorithm. The link to. subscribe is right here on the screen. And together, let's make sure that we. send a message to this administration. that all they're doing by attacking me. and independent media is making our. platforms all the more powerful. Thanks.
