OMG: Trump CONFESSES, STUNS his OWN party

If you are a Republican operative, two. and a half months out from the election, this is probably the last thing that you. want to hear Donald Trump say. >> Okay. What else do I have to say? Well, no, that ship is moving. No, no, no. That ship is moving right now, or very. shortly, and this thing replaced with. another very similar ship. No, no, no. Not nearly long enough. Thank everybody.

>> So, a reporter tells the president of. the United States that the families of. the roughly 5,000 sailors and Marines. aboard the USS Lincoln are scared for. their loved ones, and Trump's response. is to simply declare that reality isn't. happening. Not even the usual platitudes. of we're looking into it, we'll have an. answer in 2 weeks, just no, they're not. And then, when asked if 9 months at sea. is too long, he says it hasn't been long. enough. So, if you were of the mind that. the conditions were going to get better. for our service members, just remember. that no problems will change so long as.

the commander-in-chief refuses to even. acknowledge that those problems exist. Because let's be clear about what's. actually happening on that ship, because. Donald Trump would very much prefer that. you not know. The USS Lincoln left San. Diego back in November for deployment. that was supposed to wrap up in May. It's now mid-August. That's over 240. days at sea. Some reporting puts it at. 250 or more, without a single port call. in more than 200 of those days. The norm. is usually 30 to 45 days. Now, military.

publications like the Military Times, Navy Times, and Stars and Stripes all. report the same grim picture. Sailors. going without basic hygiene products, contaminated water, exhaustion, and. morale that is so low, there have been. numerous reports of suicide attempts. The Navy's official line is that it. hasn't seen a rise in suicidal ideation. aboard the ship, which is the kind of. statement you make when you're hoping. that nobody asks what the baseline. already was. And Trump's answer to all of that, the. answer of a guy who has never spent a.

single day of his life in uniform, is. that these families are lying, and that. their kids haven't suffered nearly. enough yet. He's saying, "Don't worry, there's more where that came from.". This is who Donald Trump. has always been when it comes to the. people who actually serve this country. Remember this? >> But Frank, Frank, let me get to it. He. hit me. Or how about the reporting, confirmed by. multiple outlets, that Trump referred to. the 1,800 Marines killed at Belleau Wood. as suckers, and skipped a visit to the. American military cemetery in France. because he didn't want to honor troops. that he considered, quote, losers. And let's not forget how Donald Trump. himself avoided serving in Vietnam in. the first place. Four student. deferments, then a medical deferment for. bone spurs that was so conveniently. documented that even his own. podiatrist's family later said that it. was basically a favor to a friend. This.

is a guy who dodged the draft, then. spent decades mocking prisoners of war, and referring to the dead as losers. And. now, he's the one deciding whether. nearly 9 months at sea without a port. call is, quote, long enough. Now, here's. the thing about Trump and sacrifice. He. is always asking somebody else to be the. one to make it. It's your kid who has to. stay on that carrier for month eight, month nine, month 10, however long it. takes to serve his Iran policy. It's the. family back home who has to hear about. the horrific conditions on board those. ships when there's nothing they can do.

about it. It's the sailor in that. compartment with broken plumbing and no. working water who gets told that his. mental health crisis is a media. fabrication. All at the hands of a guy, by the way, whose entire campaign was. predicated on this express thing not. happening. >> I'm not going to start a war, I'm going. to stop wars. No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity and we will have. peace. Under Trump, we will have no more. wars, no more disruptions, and we will. have prosperity and peace for all. I am.

the candidate of peace. I am peace. >> And of course, this war that definitely, totally wasn't going to happen is not. only happening, but there's no end in. sight. Here's a mashup of Trump vowing. an immediate end every single month with. no immediate end actually on the. horizon. >> We have. points of major points of agreement. They want to make a deal. And we are very willing to make a deal. >> Well, I think we're going to end it. I. can't tell you for sure when they want. to make a deal so badly. You have no.

idea how badly they want to make a deal. >> They want to make a deal so badly. >> I do see a deal in Iran. >> We were very close to a deal. >> I think it's close to over, yeah. I I. mean, I view it as very close to over. >> It's looking very good that we're going. to make a deal with Iran, and it's going. to be a good deal. >> This process should go very quickly. We're going to end that war very. quickly. They want to make a deal so. badly. >> We think we're close to a deal. And. that's okay. >> We're. in the final throws of what will be a. very, very good deal. >> In other words, the war that Trump swore.

would never happen is happening, and. it'll be finished next week despite. going on for months with no end in. sight. And the soldiers who are fighting. that war are exposing horrible. conditions they're living in despite. Trump saying that they haven't endured. those conditions for long enough. But. hey, something something pro-military, am I right? And yet, par for the course. for somebody who views his time in. office as a way for the country to serve. him. Donald Trump has never been about. service to others, but rather solely. focused on how we can help him. consolidate more wealth and power for.

himself. He didn't serve, his family's. businesses got emergency relief during. COVID while small businesses folded. He's complained publicly about how. unfair it was that he had to sit through. his own legal proceedings. He's tripled. his net worth while the rest of the. country gets squeezed. This is a man who. has never once been asked to give. something up for a cause bigger than. himself. And somehow, he's the one. lecturing 5,000 sailors that their. deployment, the one keeping them from. their families for the better part of a. year, just isn't sacrifice enough yet.

And that's really the whole ballgame. when it comes to Trump. He started a war. with Iran that he still doesn't have an. exit plan for, and the price of that war. is being paid in months at sea, in. contaminated water, in sailors going. overboard, in mothers who can't sleep. Meanwhile, the man who started it is. standing on a tarmac next to Air Force. One dismissing the people paying that. price as liars before boarding a plane. to go do a photo op at a police training. academy. Nobody is asking Donald Trump. to go without hygiene products for 240. days. No one's asking him to skip one of.

his precious birthday parties. Nobody's. asking him to sit in a berthing. compartment with broken plumbing while. his commander-in-chief tells the cameras. that he's not concerned. The sacrifice. always flows in one direction. In. Trump's America, it goes down onto the. people who can't talk back. And never. once in this guy's entire life has it. flowed up to him. So, the next time Donald Trump says that. a deployment hasn't been nearly long. enough, maybe somebody should ask him. the obvious follow-up. How long has he. ever had to sacrifice for anything?
