New RFK scandal SHOCKS the country | Another Day

The latest. recall this month, jalapenos and a.

possible salmonella contamination. >> The recall hitting store shelves in 26. states. Officials say the recall. includes products like dips, burritos, and salsa sold in stores from Target and. Trader Joe's to Walmart and Whole Foods. >> Oh, so as long as Americans don't buy. any of their food at Trader Joe's, Whole. Foods, Kroger's, Target, and Walmart, everything will be just fine. I don't. foresee any problems there. That's like. telling Americans there's an easy way to. avoid high gas prices. Just start.

walking to work. Now, honestly, I hate. to brag here, but I'm actually in the. clear on all of these food recalls. because I happen to do all of my. shopping at Publix. Plus, I have a. strict smoothie diet that exclusively. consists of frozen berries. >> Publix is expanding its recall of frozen. berries that could be contaminated with. E.coli. And here I was thinking I'd have to lose. weight by not my brains out for.

days on end. Yes, recently the Food and. Drug Administration has upgraded a. recall of frozen blueberries and mixed. berries to its highest level risk. warning. And I frankly see this as a. positive. Think how far we've come from. the days when the Bush administration. devised different threat levels for a. possible terrorist attack. Now, thanks. to Trump, the attacks are just on our. bowels. One might even say the threat is. coming from inside the house. My god, can someone please give me a single. piece of food news that doesn't involve.

Yet here. we are almost 2 years into Trump's term. And there hasn't seemed to be a single.

food item out there that isn't littered. with some poisonous bacteria. Now that I. think of it, maybe that's the reason. that Cash Patel is not an all liquid. diet. Anyway, it is a total mystery how. we got here. My only hunch is that when. the administration cut funding for the. people who keep our food safe, that it. somehow made our food less safe. >> One of the places that got cut, we just. found today on the website, is grants to. the Texas Department of State Health. Services. $877 million is being cut.

>> Okay, fine. But what are the chances. that some little budget cut like that. would have an actual effect on Texans? A. nationwide egg recall is now at the. FDA's highest risk level after a rise in. Salmonella illnesses. Nearly 19 million. eggs produced in Texas have been. recalled, including eggs sold at Kroger, Brookshire, and Simple Truth. At least. 98 people have gotten sick with 26. hospitalized. >> Huh. I guess everything is bigger in. Texas, including cases of salmonella.

But let's say that you're one of those. people who hates being hospitalized but. hates not eating eggs even more. Is. there a fix for them? >> Okay. So, does thoroughly cooking an egg. kill salmonella or is any recalled egg. strictly just off the table, unsafe to. eat, and should you throw it away? Does. does that make a difference? >> You can get rid of salmonella through. cooking, but it has to be thoroughly. cooked. And that's the thing. So, not. not everyone actually likes their eggs. thoroughly cooked. So, you want to be.

extremely careful there. Yeah, I prefer. mine poached or over easy, but I guess. I'll be scrambling them for the time. being just to be on the safe side. >> Is that the safe side? Maybe it's just. me, but I'd prefer to have an eggless. breakfast rather than hoping that I. thoroughly scrambled my eggs so as to. burn off the intestine twisting, vomitinducing, hospital staying. salmonella. But hey, I guess when cuts. have to be made, cuts have to be made. And in times of great fiscal restraint, there are simply certain things that our.

the end of the day, what's great about. the Trump administration is that. regardless of their missteps and. mistakes, the one thing they pride. themselves on is accountability. Listen, what we are facing in America today is. the direct result of a war on cattle by. the previous administration. You know, when we walked in the door a year and a. half ago, uh the farm economy had seen. the greatest uh spiral down. Under Joe. Biden, the cost of food went up almost. 25%. >> Just so we're clear, Joe Biden was a.

scenile old man who didn't know his ass. from his elbow, which is why he needed. every signature to be done with autopen. But also, in his debilitating elderly. haze, he was able to wage a systematic. war on America's food supply, two years. removed from office. Got it. The reality. is RFK blatantly lied his way through. his confirmation hearing, telling. members of Congress that as HHS. secretary, he would take a reasoned and. science-based approach to the whole job. But as we've seen, he's done exactly.

what we all knew he would do, which is. stroll his vaccine skeptic ass into the. halls of DC and put in place drastic. cost cutting measures that have. endangered the lives of millions of. people across the country. Americans can. barely afford to feed their families. But now, thanks to Trump and RFK, any. food they can afford has been deemed. inedible. This is just the millionth. example of what terrible leadership. looks like and how dangerous the. consequences can be. So, when you hear a. member of this White House say, "Let's. get [music] cooking.".
