JD Vance MERCILESSLY BOOED at Olympic opening ceremony

In an individual sport, what an honor. for her. There is the Vice President, J.D. Vance, and his wife, Usha whoa. Those are not. uh those are a lot of boos for him. Whistling, cheering, some applause. Not a long shot of him. That was J.D. Vance and his wife getting booed at the. opening ceremony for the Olympics in. Milan, Italy. The booing was so. prominent that even the announcer noted. during the broadcast that there were. boos and jeers. And in fact, Puck.

reporter Peter Hamby confirmed the. booing, sharing a screenshot of a text. message with a friend of his inside the. stadium who wrote, quote, "Holy F, the. whole stadium booed J.D. Vance and his. wife. That was so wild." Now, first of. all, if you were wondering why Donald. Trump didn't show up, that's why. He. knew full well the reception he would. get on the global stage and he would. rather stay in his insular little. bubble, his safe space, if you will, than risk contending with the inevitable. avalanche of boos that would have. befallen him. And by the way, that's. also why it was just announced that.

Donald Trump wouldn't be going to the. Super Bowl, either. And for those who. say, "Well, he wasn't going to go to the. Super Bowl anyway, he's the President of. the United States." Right. Donald Trump. wasn't going to go to the Super Bowl. Donald Trump wasn't going to make. himself the center of attention at the. biggest event in the United States. Got. it. That is literally the only part of. the job he likes. Showing up at big. events and basking in the adulation. The. guy held more rallies while he was. president than most candidates do when. they're running for president. But.

because he's got a fragile ego and is. massively unpopular, he'd surrender even. the best part of his job also that he. doesn't have to see his fragile ego get. bruised. And let's be clear, it's not. just the international community that. wanted to express their disgust with. this administration by booing J.D. Vance. Here's Team USA freestyle skier. Hunter Hess. I feel heartbroken about. what's happened in the United States. When you know, I'm pretty sure you're. referencing ICE and some of the protests. and things like that. Uh. I think that as a country we need to.

focus on respecting everybody's rights. and uh making sure that we're treating. our citizens as well as anybody with. love and respect. And uh I hope that when people look at. athletes compete in the Olympics they. realize that that's the America that. we're trying to represent. It brings up. mixed emotions to represent the US right. now, I think. Um. it's a little hard. Um there's obviously. a lot going on that I'm not the biggest. fan of and I think a lot of people. aren't. If it aligns with my moral. values, um I feel like I'm representing.

it. Uh just cuz I'm wearing the flag. doesn't mean I represent everything. that's going on in the US. Um So yeah, I just kind of want to do it. for my friends and my family and the. people that support me getting here. I. mean, it is incredible what this. administration was able to accomplish in. terms of torching our reputation at home. and abroad in just one short year. Remember when Trump said this? America. will be respected again and admired. again, including by people of religion, faith, and goodwill.

We will be prosperous. We will be proud. We will be strong and we will win like. never before. Yeah, well, now we've got. American athletes at the Olympics. distancing themselves from the actions. of a corrupt administration that has. deployed this lawless rogue secret. police force onto our streets where they. can slaughter Americans with impunity. We've got the global community recoiling. at the autocratic actions of by a White. House that acts like a bully on the. world stage threatening to undermine. NATO and annex the territory of a. sovereign country, our own ally. The.

only thing more insane than this. administration turning the United States. into a pariah on the global stage is the. fact that J.D. Vance would actually show. his face in public and expect any other. reaction. To live in whatever delusional. state Vance occupies really must be. nice. And look, the reality is that it's. important that this administration get. exactly the feedback that they're. getting. Surrounding themselves with. yes-men and sycophants has clearly. insulated them, blocked them from being. able to see the reality of how people. feel. And that's dangerous for all of. us. In a democracy, the leadership's.

inability to see, or maybe I should say. unwillingness to see, or maybe I should. say outright disdain for popular. sentiment is a direct route to. autocracy. It's what leads us down a. path where, again, a rogue police force. can execute people outside, where the. federal government tries to nationalize. elections, where the administration. tries to launch a war against our. allies, where the president can gut. healthcare and food assistance for the. most vulnerable while his own net worth. surges by billions. That's what it looks. like when you've got people in charge.

who've decided that they are no longer. responsive to regular people, who spend. their time getting their asses kissed at. balls and galas and business meetings. attended by cowards in the tech world. and legacy media and on and on. But if. you want to see what actual people, people have who have no financial. interest in sucking up to Trump, to see. what those people think about this. administration, that stadium is a pretty. good indication. In fact, that is a. recurring theme, where only in the. instances that people don't need. anything from this White House do they.

finally feel free to express themselves. honestly. Here, for example, is what. happened when Trump went to a Washington. Commanders game this season. >> [cheering]. >> I am saying your name. Do you solemnly swear.

that I will support and defend. the Constitution. of the United States. against all enemies, foreign Trump at the trophy presentation. for the FIFA Club World Cup.

This was the Kennedy Center just months. ago after he gutted the board to install. himself and his cronies. >> [cheering]. [cheering]. [cheering]. >> Here he was getting booed at the Al. Smith dinner.

[cheering]. >> And here he is at the Libertarian. Convention back in 2024. The Libertarian. Party should nominate Trump for. president of the United States. Wow. That's nice. That's nice. Only if you want to win. Only if you want to win. Maybe you don't.

When Trump or his. loyalists can't control the environment. or fill the crowds with his drones whose. entire identities are predicated on. their support for MAGA, when they are. around regular people, they get a quick. lesson in just how much people like them. or don't. Probably not a great sign to. constantly get praised by people who. need something from you and booed from. people who don't.
