HUMILIATION: Mike Johnson finally gets what he DESERVES | Another Day
Mike Johnson prevents a Democrat from. being sworn in to prevent a vote on the. Epstein files. You know, as the Lord. commandeth. This is just another day. [Music]. It was only 2 weeks ago when Adeline. Grijalva won a special election in. Arizona making her the newest Democratic. member of the House of Representatives. But there's just one small problem. See, while she definitely has the job, someone won't exactly unlock the doors. to let her in. Democrats say that you.
will not swear in a Democrat who was. elected in Arizona special election. because you do not want her critical. vote on the Epstein discharge position. If she voted for it then the discharge. position would come up on the Epstein. files. Why won't you swear her in? Yeah, I mean again, they're becoming. experts at distraction and red herrings. This has absolutely nothing to do about. Epstein. This is a scheduling matter.
Classic scheduling issue. See, Mike. Johnson is definitely not a faux. religious man trying to suppress. information and delay closure for sexual. abuse victims. He's just trying to find. the time to make it happen. Like for. example, he couldn't possibly do it now. because he's busy being on television. And frankly. the rest of October is slammed now that. he's working day and night to put. together his lying sack of. Halloween costume. At issue here is the. fact that Congresswoman elect Grijalva.
would be the deciding vote on the house. for a discharge petition to release the. Epstein files. And that vote can't. happen if she's not sworn in. But Mike. Johnson sees it differently. >> This is just a matter of of the. schedule. In a pro forma session, no. one's there in the chamber. It's. literally sometimes three, four people. You have a clerk and whomever is serving. as the interim speaker. They they bang. the gavel in, they they say the pledge, and they bang the gavel out. That's it. It's just to keep Congress functioning. It's a tradition of the institution. But. we we'll do it right and do it in the. right way as soon as everybody gets back.
here. Oh, now that makes sense. See, during the current government shutdown, the house has been holding what's called. pro forma sessions, which if my high. school Latin serves me correctly means. professional forma. Take that Mr. Hagland. Who's failing now? And a. swearing in ceremony can't take place. during one of these pro forma sessions. Those are just the rules. And if we know. anything about rules, it's that they can. never be broken as far as Republicans.
are concerned. Never ever ever ever. >> makes perfect sense until we look back. and see that there have been Republicans. sworn in during pro forma sessions. So, why should it be different for a. Democrat? The great question. It's a it's there. was a unique exception made when the two. Florida representatives were sworn in. earlier this year after winning a. special election. And the only reason we. did that is because it was previously. noticed for that date and they flew all. their families and friends in for the. ceremony. Well, damn it, he's right. That's that. Once mom and pop have.
packed the wagon and forged the rivers. and battled dysentery, boy, you'd have. to wait till the snow melts and next. year's crop starts to come in if you. want to get back up to the capiteel. No, siree. Nothing we can do. >> So, if she flies in her family, would. you guys do it? >> all of us, she'll get the full bells and. whistles. Well, It is a good thing airports. are virtually non-functional because of. the shutdown or Mike Johnson would have. had to find another way to close them. himself. But while the speaker pretends. to care about congressional protocol as.
he looks the other way on years of. minors being sexually abused, a part of. me wishes that Republicans had someone. else who could address their issue who. didn't bring with them the same baggage. that Mike Johnson does. Is it clear to. you why Speaker Johnson has not sworn in. the new member Adeline Grijalva yet? Cuz. we're not in session. Jim Jordan, to dispel rumors that. Republicans are looking the other way on. teenagers being sexually abused, they. trot out a man who looked the other way. on teenagers being sexually abused. What. happened? Was the Catholic Church not.
available? All right. Let's hear what this very. reputable man has to say. >> So, you're saying because it's a pro. forma session, that's why. Yeah, cuz. there's like there's two people on the. floor or you know, whatever. Uh there's. but normally it's done in front of the. full house so that new member in a. special election gets a I think in some. ways a kind of a neat experience where. they get to talk to the house their. their first day getting sworn in. And. that's happened every single time that I. can recall with any new member elected. in a special in a in the middle of a. congressional. session. But a couple months ago he.
swore in Jimmy Panetta and Randy Fine in. a pro forma session. I I I I didn't I I. actually didn't even know that. >> But now that you've brought it to my. attention, I will completely ignore that. fact and find a different justification. for aiding and abetting a dead. pedophile. I'll tell you what, maybe we. just call it for Jim Jordan and give. Mike Johnson one more chance, shall we? This doesn't have anything whatsoever to. do with Epstein. They try to make. everything about Epstein. This is about. the the house not being in regular. session because the Democrats and the. Senate have decided to shut everything.
down. We will swear Rep. elect Grijalva. in as soon as we get back to regular. session. Republicans are operating in. good faith. Good faith? I'm surprised the speaker. wasn't strucketh by lightning for using. such sinful language. But you know what? Maybe we should take it easy on Mike. Johnson because when he was sworn in as. speaker a few years ago and took an oath. to support and defend the Constitution, it wasn't a covenant oath. And as. everyone knows, that's what Mike needs. if he's going to fully commit.
>> We've been hearing now for several years. about something called covenant. marriage. The ceremonies look the same. as any other wedding, but they are more. legally binding and covenant couples say. more emotionally binding. >> I mean just the security in that to know. that Mike is willing to make that kind. of. lifetime commitment to me. um just gave me such stability and I. just knew that it was the right thing to. do. See, Mike's wife Kelly knew how. susceptible her man was to the devil's. temptations, but she had the foresight.
to lock it down hard. She knew that Mike. would stray from the Lord's path to. spend hours in his office watching. someone else's milf hunting excursions. So much so that their son had to track. it on his phone. And that's where. America failed. We should have known. that using every method possible to. shield this man from being further. exposed and implicated in Jeffrey. Epstein's crimes was going to be too. alluring for Mike to resist. So, we. really should have asked him to put a. ring on our democratic process. And if he said no, Well, I think that's.
a big red flag for us. Maybe we need to. rethink the situation. >> Yeah, sometimes you just got to admit. when your man's not speaker material or. a morally sound person. See, the truth. is that this whole ordeal is so. desperate and short-sighted. Mike. Johnson and his cronies know that. eventually they're going to have to. swear in Representative Grijalva. That. eventually the Democrats will have the. votes to force the release of the. Epstein files. It's like Mike Johnson. has completely lost touch with a future. reality. This dude has zero long-term. plan. Instead, he's just trying to delay.
this thing one day at a time. He is only. living in the present, which in a way is. kind of beautiful. And also explains. this stamp. The reality is this. isn't about one representative or one. delayed vote. This is about the fact. that Republicans see this whole will of. the people thing as more of a thanks, we'll take it from here of the people. thing. Because to them, your vote is. only legitimate if you cast it for one. of their guys. But if you support a. Democrat, then your vote's more like a. more like an American Express card.
There's no reason it shouldn't be a. valid form of currency, but every time. you pull it out, they're all. ooh, Amex? I'm so sorry, we only take. GOP here. The reality is Mike Johnson's. depravity might feel new, but for. Republicans, this is merely the latest. iteration of a party that does not. believe in democracy. Because if they. did, they wouldn't be bending over. backwards to prevent the democratic. process from taking place. If you'll recall, way back in 2016 while. the world was Pokémon going their asses.
off, Barack Obama took a quick break. from trying to catch a Snorlax and. eventually exercised his constitutional. duty by nominating Merrick Garland to. the Supreme Court. And Republicans. responded by telling our democratic. process to Pokémon go itself. Will. Justice Garland, Judge Garland, get a. hearing? No, I don't think so. >> But you know what? Jokes on you because. we got Merrick Garland as Attorney. General and he was a man. No,
that one really us. Or how about. a few years later when Donald Trump. decided that our free and fair elections. could be even freer if they were. overseen by some zip tie wielding. election volunteers. Or how about not. long after that when Arizona Republican. candidate for governor Kari Lake tried. to overturn her election loss to Katie. Hobbs seven times. Or how about as. recently as this year when Jefferson. Griffin, a Republican Court of Appeals. judge in North Carolina and the least. entertaining member of the Griffin. family, ran for a seat on North Carolina. State Supreme Court and lost only to.
spend the next six months trying to toss. out tens of thousands of legal ballots. before finally conceding defeat to. Allison Riggs. And now they're doing. everything they can to keep Adeline. Grijalva out of the house. Now, maybe. I'm being too cynical. Maybe the GOP. doesn't want to keep Democrats out of. government. Maybe they just like to. delay it for as long as possible so that. when it finally does happen, it's really. intense. Maybe Mike Johnson's at. home jerking off to tantric government. porn. I wouldn't know. You'd have to ask.
his son. But more likely, Trump and his. minions are stress testing democracy. They are experimenting with how much. blatant disregard they can get away. with, how much unlawful power they can. grab before people get mad enough to do. something about it. Because if one party. is allowed to dictate when elected. officials get to do their jobs or when. government functions or when votes are. allowed to be counted, Well, I think. that's a big red flag for us. Maybe we. need to rethink the situation. Exactly. [Music].
