EPSTEIN UPDATE: Pam Bondi throws new attorney general UNDER THE BUS

Today, Pam Bondi testified in a. closed-door hearing for the House. Oversight Committee, and she seemed to. have one goal in mind: throw then Deputy. Attorney General, now Acting Attorney. General, Todd Blanched under the bus for. the handling of the Epstein files. Again, while this was a closed-door. hearing, we do have some information to. go off of, including Pam Bondi's opening. statement, of which I'm going to read a. small part here. To the best of my. knowledge, the Department produced. everything required under the Epstein. files Transparency Act. Our diligent and. good faith effort to collect materials.

and ensure that all potentially. responsive documents that could be. reasonably located would see the light. of day. All Department components were. directed to submit any potentially. responsive records, resulting in a. comprehensive review of millions of. documents. As the head of a large. department with broad responsibilities, I did not lead every aspect of this. effort or conduct that document review. myself. I delegated oversight over the. process to Deputy Attorney General Todd. Blanched. The team of professionals who. reviewed all of the materials that we. collected assured me the only materials. that were withheld were either.

non-responsive, privileged, or. duplicative. Now, let's ignore for a. moment Pam Bondi saying with a straight. face, "To the best of my knowledge, the. DOJ produced everything required under. the Epstein files Transparency Act.". Either she doesn't know how to count, she doesn't know how to read, or simply. doesn't care. But the law demands the. release of all 6 million files, not just. 3 million and then call it a day. But that aside, notice how she says, "I. delegated oversight over this process to. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanched.".

In other words, Pam Bondi doesn't want. her hands anywhere near this thing, and. so she's introducing her deputy, and now. replacement, to the undercarriage of a. bus. And this was a recurring theme during. this entire testimony. Here is Ranking. Member of the House Oversight Committee. Robert Garcia. >> We continue to say that this this should. be recorded by video and released to the. American public. And we're also asking. that Chairman Comer immediate. immediately release the transcripts that. right now are being done throughout. today.

I want to also say just a few a few. other things. It is clear in just this. this this part of the of the interview. that she continues to push. all of the investigation and the blame. on acting AG Todd Blanche. She said and I quote. acting AG Blanche was managing the. entire investigation and quote. And what. you're going to hear in that interview. and what she's saying here in her words.

and remarks is that it was Todd Blanche. the current acting AG that was leading. the Epstein investigation and quite. frankly. all of the mistakes that we saw. the redactions, not protecting survivors. she continues to push that back onto the. acting AG Todd Blanche who by the way. with Donald Trump's former personal. lawyer. >> So, either Pam Bondi is simply trying to. diffuse responsibility off of herself. because she's trying to do image rehab.

or Todd Blanche really did run this. thing which wouldn't necessarily be. surprising given that as Trump's. personal criminal defense attorney his. allegiance is to protecting Donald Trump. or both. The reality is that we have yet. further proof of the existence of a. cover-up at the highest levels of. government stemming of course from their. collective desire to protect the. president. Need proof of that? Here you. go. >> In fact she said that she would not. speak or or respond to any questions. that had anything to do.

with President Trump. It's also interesting that sitting next. to her is DOJ counsel somebody that. currently works for the Department of. Justice who on multiple occasions. stepped in. and told the former attorney general. that she was not going to answer those. questions and especially when we ask. questions of what the president directed. her to. And so, the DOJ is in there right now. stopping questions. about President Trump and about what.

happened in the release of these files. and why so many survivors were doxxed. and their information, of course, released to the public. >> Answer me this, if Pam Bondi is no. longer at the DOJ, why is DOJ counsel. sitting next to her and representing her. in her capacity as a private citizen. unless they've got something to hide? While the latest Jeffrey Epstein. documents have exposed corruption at the. highest levels of American society, there is an eerie pattern forming. to any questions that had anything to do. with President Trump. >> Tell me, why would Pam Bondi refuse to. answer any questions pertaining to. Donald Trump in particular if she and he. have nothing to hide? She might claim. attorney-client privilege, but there is. no attorney-client privilege when it. comes to breaking the law. And that's. exactly what this closed-door hearing. was about, the administration's failure. to comply with the release of the. Epstein files transparency act and. whether it was because those files. implicate Donald Trump in any criminal.

activity. The fact that she refused to. answer speaks volumes. And don't take it. from me, take it from Trump himself. >> So, they have five people taking the. Fifth Amendment, like you see on the. mob, right? You see the mob takes the. Fifth. If you're innocent, why you taking the. Fifth Amendment? >> Just saying. But going back to Todd. Blanche, he's under further scrutiny as. the result of this statement. >> It's also interesting that sitting next. to her. is DOJ counsel, somebody that currently. works for the Department of Justice, who.

on multiple occasions. stepped in. and told the former attorney general. that she was not going to answer those. questions, and especially when we ask. questions of what the president directed. her to do. And let me also just say, finally, before I turn this over to to Liz to Ms. Stein here, we asked questions about Ghislaine. Maxwell and the transfer. And again, she. referred those questions to Todd Blanche. in the Bureau of Prisons. So, let's be. clear, we have many questions for Mr. Blanche and for the Bureau of Prisons. that yet Republicans are refusing to. ask. Why was she transferred to a less. secure facility? And Ms. Bondy. claims to have no knowledge of the.

of the actual transfer, no knowledge. that it was a less secure prison, and. didn't know about it until she found out. found out after the fact, and then will. refuse to answer additional questions. >> It's almost like Todd Blanche meeting. with the principal living defendant in. the Epstein scandal and moving her to a. minimum security prison with zero. explanation provided suggests that some. foul play might just be involved. And. look, I get that this White House has. decided that all it has to do is lie and. pretend that there's nothing to see.

here, and that's how they get away with. any criminal activity, but House. Oversight Democrats don't seem too. intent on letting them go scot-free. In. fact, I asked Robert Garcia about this. just weeks ago. >> Well, as we know, Todd Blanche. was Donald Trump's former personal. lawyer. I mean, literally his personal. attorney. Now, he's the the deputy AG. Uh he's the same one that went out of. his way to visit Ghislaine Maxwell, and. then all of a sudden she gets this move, right, to this less secure facility. And. and no one still will tell us how that. happened or who directed that. Uh it's.

it's insane. that no one has admitted that to who. actually gave the orders to move. Ghislaine Maxwell to a less secure. prison. Pam Bondi knows who did it. Was. it her? Was it the president? So, I. think that the public has a right to. know, a the right to transparency. And. the survivors certainly have a right to. know. She's a monster. She's a liar. She. herself abused women. She was Jeffrey. Epstein's clearly not just partner, but. but her her partner in creating creating.

this huge sex trafficking ring that went. on to abuse what? A thousand women and. girls. So, I think the idea that we. still don't know why that move happened, and that that person that apparently was. the one meeting with Ghislaine Maxwell. and orchestrated this under whose. direction we're not sure of yet, is. going to be the interim AG. Give me a. break. I mean, this is all part of the. same corruption. Todd Blanche needs to. be nowhere near the DOJ, and it'll be. interesting to see who uh Donald Trump. actually puts uh in Pam Bondi's place.

permanently. >> And furthermore, I spoke with. Representative Garcia again about what. Democrats can actually accomplish if. they regain the majority as it relates. to this Epstein files investigation and. more. Here's what he had to say. You. know, you are making good progress right. now. What does this progress look like. compared to if Democrats are able to. take the gavel? If you become the. chairman of the of the Oversight. Committee, um what does that look like. compared to what we're seeing now? >> I mean, it'll be night and day. I mean, right now we are dependent on. Republicans to set the agenda, set the.

meetings, set the depositions, set the. rules. They own They're the only ones. that have subpoena power. If we were in. the majority, we would have enough votes. on every vote to get exactly what we. wanted. We would be able to put a send. out any subpoena to anyone that we. wanted to do and speak with. And so it it's it's significantly. different. And so we're doing We're. fighting really hard, doing everything. we can right now. But with the power of. of the majority comes additional powers. for the committee. So we look forward to. that. >> And can you give us some examples of who. might be.

of interest to speak with if you do gain. the gavel? >> Well, I think it relates to the Epstein. investigation. There's a series of folks. that that um. arrows point to as far as possible. co-conspirators. There's additional. people that were in Jeffrey Epstein's. orbit that worked with him very closely. There are banks and figures and and um. executives at many of the banks. There. are people that financed some of these. activities. So there's a long list of. folks. We I mean there are [clears throat]. There's probably 30 30 to 40 individuals.

that all could have interesting and. important information for our. investigation. As it relates to other. investigations, we want to talk to. Stephen Miller. We want to talk to uh. Kristi Noem. She just because she's. moved on to another agency doesn't. absolve her of of of her crimes or. corruption. Uh Corey Lewandowski, we're. seeing a lot of reports right now about. what exactly happened around around him. and certain uh arrangements and and. certain contracts that were made out of. DHS. Uh we want to talk to folks at. Health and Human Services, the. destruction of our vaccine system.

Destruction of our boards um of science. And so there there's a long list of. folks that we want to talk to and we. will absolutely be committed to getting. the truth and forcing accountability and. ensuring that the Trump corruption era. is over. >> So if you can see the overt corruption. at play at the hands of this Department. of Justice, corruption so apparent that. even Pam Bondi apparently can't help but. call it out, then the only way to make. sure that these people are held. accountable is if Democrats control the. gavels. Because Republicans have already. broadcast that as far as pedophiles are.

concerned, they're not only. disinterested in holding them. accountable, they're actually the first. ones in line to help them evade. accountability.
