BREAKING: UPDATE on Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in court

We've got a brand new scheme that Glain. Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein's living. co-conspirator, tried to pull in court. with the help from the Trump. administration. Can you explain, Glenn, what the news is as far as Gain Maxwell. is concerned? >> Yeah, Brian. Gain Maxwell filed what's. called a postconviction motion for. relief. I'll talk more about that. procedurally in a minute. But she went. back in front of the trial court judge, Judge Engel Mayor up in New York who. presided over her case, a case in which. he was convicted of multiple felonies.

for sex trafficking young girls and. sentenced to 20 years. And here's what. she said. She said, "Judge, you know, now that DOJ has released some of the. Epstein files, you can see that they. clear me. They exonerate me. They prove. that I did nothing wrong. I'm innocent. I shouldn't have been convicted. Judge. Angel Mayor Brian figuratively crammed. that argument down Gileain Maxwell's. throat. He said, "No, no, no. To the. contrary, I have seen some of the. Epstein files that were released by the.

Department of Justice. They incriminate. you. Period." So, motion for. postconviction relief denied. But Brian, you know what this does is it really. helps expose and highlight the searing. injustice of what Todd Blanch has not. only been doing with Gileain Maxwell but. has been communicating in substance to. the American people. So stick with me. here for a minute because recall that.

after she was convicted, after she was. sentenced, after she was sent to a. federal prison facility in Florida, a. legitimate federal prison, Todd Blanch. decided, I'm going to go down and see. what she has to say. That was a. transparent ploy to try to, you know, accept a bunch of lies from Gileain. Maxwell to exonerate Donald Trump, to. try to protect him, to try to clear him. But you know what? Right before he went. down to Florida in July of 2025,

one week before that little trip to. visit Galain Maxwell, he fired the lead. prosecutor in her case, Moren Comey, who. knew where all of the Maxwell bodies. were buried, figuratively speaking, where all of the Jeffrey Epstein bodies. were buried, figuratively speaking, all. of the crimes that she proved in court. beyond a reasonable doubt. unanimously. to that New York jury. So Todd Blanch. couldn't have somebody go down there and.

interview Gileain Maxwell who could call. out her lies, her her false. attempts to try to exonerate herself, Jeffrey Epstein, and potentially even. Donald Trump. So he fires Comey. He goes. down for two days and what does he do? He slurps up the lies that she tells. about how she did nothing wrong, Jeffrey. Epstein did nothing wrong. Donald Trump, oh please. Pure as the driven snow. Just. a pure gentleman unlike any other. This.

is this is the that she feeds. Todd Blanch. What does Todd Blanch. signal to the American people after. that? She was obviously telling me the. truth about everything because I. arranged to have her transferred from a. legitimate federal prison, which you. know she was obviously not enjoying. There's been some reporting and some. video about that to this cushy camp. sleepa away in Texas where she enjoys. things like service animals, pilates, and cooking classes. So, what is the.

signal there that he was sending? Well, you know what? She told me the truth and. she said that nobody did anything wrong, including Donald Trump. So, she was. richly rewarded. So, now when the judge. says, "Yeah, I've seen the released. Epstein files. They incriminate you.". What does that do? It puts the lie to. what Todd Blanch has been trying to. signal to the American people by his. searingly unjust course of conduct with. Galileain Maxwell. So, you know, this is.

where we are right now with the judge. just having denied Galileain Maxwell's. motion for postconviction relief. Galain Maxwell's aside, I. actually want to focus on Todd Blanch. for a moment, and I want to talk about. any legal exposure that he might. shoulder by virtue of being the person. in charge of releasing the Epstein files. and yet making the conscious decision. not to. Now, he's going through the motions, especially as it relates to the ongoing. Katie Fang trial. But the reality is. that he's been in defiance of the. Epstein Files Transparency Act since. December 19th, 2025. And so at what.

point does it go from, okay, I've still. got some plausible deniability and I can. still claim that I'm doing whatever. needs to be done to offer some. compliance with this law. At what point. does it go from that to just, okay, this. person is outright defying the law and. he's beginning to shoulder legal. exposure for doing it? >> Brian, it's a great question. I actually. see four separate areas of potential. liability coming Todd Blanch's way. Now,

perhaps only after the midterms and. perhaps more pointedly after Donald. Trump falls from power, but those four. are one, he is embroiled in litigation, brought against him personally in his. capacity as attorney general, a suit. that was brought by Katie Fang, and I'm. telling you, I was in the courtroom last. week when Judge EMTT Sullivan was. presiding over the the course of the. litigation, and he made clear he's. heading in the direction of contempt and. And that would be contempt for Todd.

Blanch. That would be the first area of. potential exposure. That litigation is. ongoing. The second area of potential. exposure is once the Dems take control. of the House, if they don't conduct an. impeachment investigation of Todd Blanch. to see whether he should be impeached. for what he's been doing to suppress the. Epstein Files in clear violation of. federal law. As you point out, the. Epstein Files Transparency Act, he's.

been violating the federal law every day. since December 19th. That's the second. area of possible consequences and. accountability. The third area is he has. already been referred to bar counsel up. in New York. Now, the the New York bar. may uh delay an investigation of those. allegations of unethical conduct until. after he is no longer attorney general. That that's an open question. procedurally right now, but I absolutely. believe Brian like so many of the Trump.

attorneys before him during the first. term, he is going to end up a a member. of the ignoble Donald Trump disbarred. lawyers club together with Rudy Giuliani. and Jeffrey Clark and Kenneth Chzbro and. John Eastman. That's going to be a. really wellp populated club in the. future. I expect Pam Bondi to become a a. member as well. And then the fourth and. final area of possible consequences. accountability would be a criminal. conspiracy to deprive people of their.

constitutional rights. Why? because he. has supported Donald Trump in his. efforts to bring these revengefueled, baseless, evidence-free, vindictive. prosecutions that could constitute a. criminal conspiracy to deprive people of. their constitutional rights, their due. process rights to be free from being. persecuted in in essence by the federal. government. Those are four areas of.

accountability. They may come at. different speeds. They may come at. different times. Some may be successful, some may not. But let me tell you, Brian, Todd Blanch has a world of hurt. coming his way, particularly when Donald. Trump falls from power. Well, let's talk. about that point because on one hand, there is precedent for holding an. attorney general to account for his. corrupt actions. Uh, it's happened in. modern American history. But at the same. time, how do you reconcile that with an.

overall feeling on the left or or an a. mentality on the left that they would. rather let bygones be bygones and. prevent the optics of politicization. than actually wield power aggressively. and effectively? Can you just give your. take on what you expect to see and any. message that you would convey to the. broader Democratic establishment that. really doesn't seem to show any stomach. for that kind of aggressive action? Ryan, let me state this as plainly as I. can. If we refuse to pursue.

accountability for the crimes that. Donald Trump and his criminal associates. are committing in the harsh light of. day, if we don't try to hold them. accountable, we're giving our republic. away. We will not get to keep our. republic if we don't hold today's, you. know, ruling class criminals in. government accountable for what they're. doing. You know, we tried to turn the. other cheek, put the long national.

nightmare behind us, let bygones be. bygones back during the uh the Watergate. era. Now, as you note, an attorney. general has gone to prison before, John. Mitchell. And the crimes that John. Mitchell committed, you know, together. with and for the benefit of Richard. Nixon, you know, that's like shoplifting. a candy bar from a corner store as as a. compared to what Todd Blanch and company. are doing together with and for the. benefit of Donald Trump right now each. and every day. We decided to try um a.

complete absence of accountability for a. criminal president previously. Look what. it got us. It got us Donald Trump. Um so. if we just decide you know what we're. not going to hold anybody accountable. we've had enough of this we want to. return to some sense of normaly the only. thing we're doing is giving full license. and support and encouragement even to. tomorrow's version of Donald Trump who. will swoop in and you know do it all.

over again and then some maybe a Donald. Trump on steroids if you can imagine. that absent accountability. We don't get to keep our republic in my. opinion. >> Glenn, I want to switch gears a little. bit and go back to Glenn Maxwell for. just a quick moment. Is there a world. where if Donald Trump does issue her a. pardon that there is any recourse uh to. prevent her from walking free? I mean, I. don't foresee a world, and look, this is. not a prediction show, and God knows.

I've gotten predictions wrong, but I. don't foresee a world where he doesn't. at least take care of the one person who. has the information in her pocket if she. needs to, that may or may not. incriminate one Donald J. Trump. So, I. presume that one of his last acts in. office is going to be to grant her a. pardon. Is there a world where um state. level prosecutors for example can pick. up where the federal government is. obviously leaving off to ensure that. somebody like that doesn't walk free. which clearly you know judging by as you.

explained uh Todd Blanch was willing to. move Gain Maxwell to clubfed in Texas. they have an appetite to do. >> Yeah. So if there are state crimes that. can be pursued by New York, by Florida, by by out in New Mexico where the Zoro. ranch was or anywhere else in the United. States, if there are state crimes that. can be pursued and that would survive. the statute of limitations, they haven't. timed out, they haven't expired, every. state has its own version of the statute.

of limitations, different time frames, then yes, the states can do that. But. really more directly, here's what I. would do if I were attorney general for. a day, which will never happen, but bear. with me here. So, do we really think. that our founding fathers, the drafters. of the constitution, put the pardon. power in the constitution because they. were hopeful and they were encouraging a. future president to commit crimes. perhaps with others, co-conspirators,

and then be able to legitimately deliver. a pardon to that person so both the. president and his co-conspirator could. get away free. and clear and not be held. accountable for those crimes. This is. what I would do. There is. people may remember Bill Barr testified. before Congress about this precise. issue. Rarely do I quote Bill Barr as an. authority for anything. However, when he.

was asked, could a president deliver a. pardon to somebody to buy that person's. silence if that person had information. that could incriminate the president? You see where I'm going with this? Because doesn't that seem to apply to. Galileain Maxwell? Could the president. pardon that person to buy that person's. silence? You know what Bill Barr said. under oath? >> No. That would be criminal. What we have. to do, Brian, what we have to do if we, you know, care at all about the rule of.

law and about, you know, good governance. in America is we go to court and we. challenge corruptly delivered pardons. Let the federal judiciary from the trial. court judge through the court of appeals. and of course to the Supreme Court, which is the biggest problem of all and. must be reformed. Let them announce that. a president could, for example, order. his government officials to back the. truck up to Fort Knox, unload all of our.

nation's assets, and deliver it to. Donald Trump and his family. Then he. pardons them all. Let the federal judges. rule that that's precisely what the. pardon power is all about and it's. lawful and it's constitutional. We have. to push the envelope challenging the. abject corruption of Donald Trump and. company even if the prevailing wisdom is. well the the pardon power is quite. broad. It's quite sweeping. It's really.
