BREAKING: Trump makes NEW THREAT on global stage
If you thought the fact that Trump. plunged the United States into a new war. in the Middle East was somehow a fluke, this new statement from Trump puts on. full display that as far as he's. concerned, we have fully embraced the. era of as many new wars as possible. >> No, but I was watching this and I'm. hearing them saying, "Could he be losing. the MAGA base?" I don't think so. You. know why? Because MAGA wants to win, number one. Number two, they want our. country protected. They don't want. another country out there that's hostile. and crazy to have a nuclear weapon. And. number three, they like us protecting.
certain allies, whether it's Israel or. Saudi Arabia or Qatar or UAE, any of. them. They want that. MAGA wants. strength and they want victory. They. want success and that's what we have and. we have been very, very successful. You. know, when I went into Venezuela, I. said, "Nah.". Because I campaigned on the fact peace. through strength, you wouldn't have to. use. I said, "You'll never have to use it.". But some I said.
And Cuba's next, by the way, but pretend. I didn't say that, please. Pretend I. didn't say please, please, please, media, please. disregard that statement. Thank you very. much. I. Cuba's next. Quote, "Cuba is next." So, just in case you wanted to give Trump. the benefit of the doubt when it came to. Venezuela and when it came to Iran, that. these were just uncharacteristic bugs of. an otherwise peaceful administration, you can disabuse yourself of that notion.
right now. Considering Trump has no. intention of ever stopping. He has fully. embraced imperialism 2.0 and will. continue to set an endless supply of our. tax dollars on fire if it means he can. continue to play war games for himself, which is especially weird considering. this is the kind of stuff that he spewed. on the campaign trail. >> I'm not going to start a war. I'm going. to stop wars. No more wars, no more disruptions. We. will have prosperity and we will have. peace. Under Trump, we will have no more. wars, no more disruptions and we will.
have prosperity and peace for all. I am. the candidate of peace. I am peace. She. would get us into World War III because. she is too grossly incompetent to do the. job and then all of your sons and. daughters will end up getting a draft. notice, a thing called the draft. Dad, what's this? Oh, congratulations, you've been drafted. into the military. You're going to fight. a war against a country that nobody's. ever heard of.
Isn't it true that Isn't it ridiculous? Cut to a year later and we've got. Caroline Leavitt refusing to even rule. out the draft. >> Mothers out there are worried that we're. going to have a draft, that they're. going to see their sons get in and and. daughters get involved in this. What do. you want to say about the president's. plans for troops on the ground? As we. know, it's been largely an air campaign. up until now. Mhm. It has been and it will continue to. be and President Trump wisely does not.
remove options off of the table. I know. a lot of politicians like to do that. quickly, but the president as. commander-in-chief wants to continue to. assess the success of this military. operation. It's not part of the current. plan right now, but the president again. wisely keeps his options on the table. >> And it's not like any of this is being. well received on the right, either. The. majority of Trump supporters, of even. MAGA supporters, do not support this. war. Here's Trump's own base speaking. out at CPAC. >> A ground invasion of Iran will make our.
country poorer and less safe. It will. mean higher gas prices, higher food. prices and I'm not sure we would end up. killing more terrorists than we would. create. >> I think they'll get destroyed in the. midterms. I I just I get the vibe a lot. of people I knew who just voted for. Trump because they thought it was cool. in like high school are just now just. being like, "I can't stand the guy.". This isn't, you know, what I voted for. What I voted for was domestic policy. change at home and, you know, realistic. foreign policies. So, I'm just hoping we.
can get it all wrapped up soon. But. frankly, this is what you voted for. because Trump has never given a single. solitary indication that he cares about. what his voters want. This is someone. who has cosplayed as a populist for the. better part of a decade and never. delivered. In his first term, he. promised an infrastructure law, promised. a healthcare plan that was cheaper and. more comprehensive, promised a middle. class tax cut, promised a jobs boom, a. manufacturing renaissance. Guess what? None of those things materialized. None. You know what did? A tax cut for himself.
and his wealthy pals. And then in this. term, he did the exact same thing. Promised reduced cost and cheaper. groceries, lower rent, cheaper housing, free IVF, getting inflation under. control, justice when it comes to. Epstein's victims, accountability for. his criminal associates. But guess what? Yet again, not delivering on any of. those things. He instead just gave. himself a tax cut, again. Not to mention. the fact that he built himself a. ballroom, procured himself a jet, doubled his own net worth, helped set up.
his family with some cushy military. defense contracts. How many of those. things help you? How many of those. things are for the working class? How. many of those things benefit the little. guy? Take all the time you need with. that one. So, look, do I think Trump. will go for Cuba? Yeah, I do because he. is drunk on power and thinks he is the. king of the world and clearly he's not. interested in what Americans actually. think, even what he in what his own base. thinks because he views himself as. beyond reproach. And he has openly mused.
about his imperial ambitions regarding. Cuba in the past. This is from just last. week. I think Cuba I don't know it's in. its own way for, you know, tourism and. everything else. It's a beautiful. island, great weather. They're not in a hurricane zone, which. is nice for a change, you know. They. won't be asking us for money for. hurricanes every week. But. but I think Cuba's seen the end, you. know, all my life I've been hearing. about the United States and Cuba. You. know, when will the United States do it? I do believe I'll be the honor of having. the honor of.
taking Cuba. That'd be good. That's a big honor. >> Taking Cuba. Taking Cuba in some form, yeah. Taking Cuba, I mean, whether I. free it, take it. I think I can do. anything I want with it. You want. another They're a very uh weakened. nation right now. They were for a long. time. Very violent. very violent leaders. In other words, he's already broadcasting his strategy. because he is so desperate to pad his. legacy, a point that Pothole of America. didn't find very here. If you want to.
try to play armchair psychologist, I. think it would go something like this. After Venezuela, he thought the United. States could do this on the cheap, quick. and easy. It would be fast. And I think. somewhere in the back of his mind, he. has this image of like as he thinks. about his legacy, he's not thinking. about what helps keep Mike Johnson. speaker or keep John Thune majority. leader. He thinks about what gets Donald. Trump etched into, you know, Mount. Rushmore or whatever else and I think he. has this vision where it's. in his head where it's like, I, you.
know, did regime change in Venezuela, I. did regime change in Iran, I did regime. change in Cuba. And the last two he. believes are historically important. because they have been long-term. problems and long-term adversaries in. the United States. And he didn't think. it through and there's a I mean, he's. not the first person to think that. regime change in Iran is a good idea. People have been talking about this, thinking about it, planning it, the. possibility of a war with Iran since. 1979. And the reason why no one has done. it is the consequences. are tremendous because of.
the the type of regime that Iran has, how big a country it is and most notably. the Strait of Hormuz. They have this. leverage point over the rest of the. world that is very hard to unstick and. so he kind of stumbled ass-backwards. into it. And just like he stumbled. ass-backwards into Iran, he is doing it. yet again because he learns zero lessons. and is only ever interested in being the. center of attention. And even if that. means he will bankrupt this country, ignore our needs, leave office with. Americans poorer and sicker and hungrier.
than before, clearly that's fine by him. because Trump's presidency is about one. person and one person alone, himself. Before you go, I'm very excited to. announce that I've written a new book. titled The Day After: How to Wield Power. in a Post-Trump World. The book explores. what is, in my opinion, the single most. important theme that we're dealing with. in politics today and moving forward, power. Specifically, how Republicans. abuse it and how Democrats refuse to.
wield it. This book explains how we got. here and more importantly, how we should. finally wield power if we're lucky. enough to get it back. It is the. blueprint for progressives who want to. do far more than just restore the status. quo. Please pre-order today by following. the link on this screen. You can grab. yours from any of the major retailers. like Amazon and Barnes & Noble or scroll. down on the page and get a copy from an. independent bookstore closest to you. Thanks so much for supporting. independent media.
