BREAKING: Trump makes MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

Some major breaking news here as long. lines at airports continue to plague the. travel sector in this country. Donald. Trump just took to choose social and. wrote quote, "The radical left Democrats. and their leader crying Chuck Schumer. have made it very clear where they stand. and that is on the side of criminal. illegal aliens and not the American. people. They are refusing to fund. immigration enforcement unless the. Republicans agree to their open border. policies which will never ever happen. again. They almost destroyed our country. allowing 25 million people to enter from. prisons, mental institutions, and insane. asylums. Those that are drug dealers and. thousands of murderers and many of whom.

killed more than one person. Because the. Democrats have recklessly created a true. national crisis, I'm using my. authorities under the law to protect our. great country as I will always do. Therefore, I'm going to sign an order. instructing the Secretary of Homeland. Security, Mark Green Mullen, to. immediately pay our TSA agents in order. to address this emergency situation and. to quickly stop the Democrat chaos at. the airports. It is not an easy thing to. do, but I am going to do it. I want to. thank our hardworking TSA agents and. also ICE for the incredible help they. have given us at the airports. I will. not allow the radical left Democrats our.

country hostage any longer. Thank you. for your attention to this matter. President Donald J. Trump. So, long. story short, he is paying TSA agents. from the existing DHS budget which. raises a pretty interesting question. If. he had this authority all along, why did. he wait until right now to use it? Why. did he allow Americans to spend weeks. contending with hours long lines at. airports? Why did he allow Americans to. miss their flights? Why did he allow. spring break plans to be missed? Why did. he voluntarily subject Americans to. chaos if a solution was available to him.

all along? And in fact, those are. obviously all rhetorical questions. because we already know that Trump had. solutions right in front of him. Besides. just funding TSA himself, which. apparently he always had the ability to. do, he was also approached with a plan. that both Democrats and Republicans had. reportedly agreed to. And here's. Republican Senator John Kennedy. explaining what happened. >> Senator Thune and I came up with a plan. We said, "Well, this is a two-step. process. The The The Democrats have. offered to open up everything but ICE.".

Uh Ted and I said, "Okay, let's accept. their offer. And then uh at the same time, we would. offer. a a bill for reconciliation where we. don't need any Democratic votes to uh do. whatever we wanted to do with ICE. And that way we're out of the shutdown. and DHS is back open. Uh we submitted that. Senator Coons. submitted that to President Trump. Uh as is his right, he said, "No. No deals with the Democrats." It would.

work. We could have had TSA paid by the. end of the week. But uh the president. said, "No deal." Quote, "It would have. worked. We would have had TSA paid by. the end of the week." In other words, from the mouth of a Republican senator, the sole impediment to bringing our. airports back to normal was Donald. Trump. And in fact, even Trump himself. reiterated that point. >> They get a deal Republicans and. Democrats in the Senate to fund all but. enforcement operations of ICE to get.

those TSA agents repaid and to open up. the rest of the department. Did you say. Well, I don't want to comment until I. see the deal. But as you know, they're. negotiating a deal. I guess they're getting fairly close. But. I I think any deal they make. I'm I'm pretty much not happy with it. Quote, "Any deal they make, I'm pretty. much not happy with it." So, the big. question then became, why is Trump doing. this? Why would he possibly create a. situation where Americans are contending. with three, four, five-hour-long lines. at the airports and be offered a. solution and yet ignore that solution so.

that he can entrench the problem. And he. actually just comes out and admits. exactly why. We want to settle. We want. to settle. And I told the people, "Don't. settle. Don't settle because we have. something bigger. Only settle if you get. the Save America Act, voter ID, and so. important, proof of citizenship, et. cetera. Thank you very much. >> was that? But ICE and the airport. Uh we're dealing really. Mine. That was mine.

And I'm suggesting strongly to the. Republican Party, don't make any deal on. anything. The most important thing we. can have is what's called the Save. America Act. Don't make any deal on anything unless. you include voter ID. and you have to be a citizen to vote. You have to show citizenship to vote. Very easy to do. It's very insulting when they say people. can't do it because they don't know how. to do it. Anybody that can't do it, I think it's a. very insulting thing to say.

The Democrats are fully to blame with. the struggle of the great. American public is going through at the. airports. They're going through a big. struggle right now and we just put ICE. in charge. >> Because he wanted to exploit everyone's. pain and frustration so that he could. ramp up the pressure and get a voter. suppression bill passed. That's it. It's. not even conjecture. The guy came right. out and said it. The long lines weren't. an unfortunate byproduct, they were the. point because your pain isn't a bug, it. is a feature. It is a tool for him to.

exploit and he would rather preserve a. bargaining chip for himself than. relinquish it to help thousands of. traveling Americans because lest there. be any doubt, Trump's presidency is not. about helping us, it is about helping. himself. And if we have to serve as. collateral damage on route, that's. clearly a sacrifice he's willing to have. us make. All because his sole priority. is not helping Americans, it is not. making healthcare more affordable or. ending childhood poverty or improving. our infrastructure or lowering costs, it.

is quite simply passing a bill that. makes it far more difficult for. Americans to vote, period. And so. instead of governing, instead of helping. Americans, they spend all of their time. and energy lying about voter fraud to. give themselves some bogus justification. to pass a bill that solves a. non-existent problem. In fact, I spoke. about this issue with my friend Jack. just days ago. Republicans have been. searching for some basis to be able to. attack uh attack ballots or or or engage. in uh in this voter suppression. And.

there have been a bunch of major. studies. For example, Justin Levitt, uh. who's a professor law professor at. Loyola um Loyola Law School, um studied ballot fraud from 2000 to. 2014. So, there were over a billion. ballots cast in this study, and they. found 31 instances of ballot fraud out. of a billion ballots cast. Like, that. wouldn't be enough to to to tip like a a. dog catcher election anywhere in this. country. And also in in the state of. Utah, they decided to look into exactly.

how many undocumented immigrants uh were. registered to vote. And so, they they. did this whole deep dive, full. Republican control, no no no crunchy. libs standing in their way, uh full full investigation into how many. undocumented immigrants were on the. voter rolls. There was one, and that. person had never voted. So, they they. have been they have been, you know, beating the drum about this issue, but. but it is a it is a a solution in search. of a problem. There is no widespread. issue with voter fraud or ballot fraud,

and yet this is the basis for them to to. upend everything. I mean, Donald Trump. himself won't allow TSA to be funded. because he wants to extract as much pain. from people as possible to use as. leverage to pass the Save America Act, which is dangerous in its own right. It. would force the states to hand over the. voter rolls to the federal government, for example. It would say that if you. want to be able to vote, you need two. documents, one of two documents, which. would be a passport, which isn't free, and 21 million Americans don't have. access to it, or you would need a birth. certificate, which plenty of people also.

don't have. And women's names are. different on their birth certificates. after they uh from before they get. married to after they get married. And. by the way, if you want to update your. passport or order a passport, that's the. prerogative of the federal government, which means in effect, you would be. giving Donald Trump's federal government. the ability to give you the document. that you need to be able to vote. And so. there's so many problems with this. stuff, notwithstanding the fact that. again, this stuff isn't free. It's not. free to it's not completely free to. order a passport. It's not free to get a. birth a copy of your birth certificate,

which means it it's basically tantamount. to a poll tax. So there are so many. problems with all of this stuff and and. it would be one thing if voter fraud or. ballot fraud was a problem, but on top. of all of the problems, it's it's not. And so again, this is just complete this. is just an effort by Republicans to be. able to figure out some way to suppress. the vote and they know that Democrats. avail themselves of mail-in voting more. than more than. Republicans do and so this is just their. their brazen way of enacting this scheme.

to help themselves win elections moving. forward. Yeah. Because that that they. can't just that they can't just let. their governing speak for itself. Like. they the fact that they have to That's. their big problem. That's their. >> Like the fact that they have to engage. in all of this stuff is just a direct. reflection on the fact that these people. who have full control of government, there are no Democrats in the House, in. the Senate, in the White House that are. in control and yet so this is like. unencumbered un unapologetic Republican. governance and you look at what we've. got. We've got Medicaid that was.

stripped, ACA coverage that was. stripped, food assistance that was. stripped. You've got cost surging on. everything. Gas is the highest it's it's. been. The a barrel of oil is is nearing. $150 soon. Uh you've got. >> Planes are still falling out of. the sky. Planes falling out of the sky. I mean there's so many problems and so. and so like of course they can't run on. their record. What are what are they. going to run on at this point? The. ballroom? So you know, of of course they. have to cheat. So if you take one thing. away from today, it should be that. Trump's big announcement saying that TSA.

agents will be paid is not evidence of. his benevolence. It is evidence that. that could have solved this on day one, but he chose to with everybody's. lives. He chose to delay our travel. He. chose to ruin spring breaks. He chose. not to pay TSA agents even though they. were going into work because it was more. important to help himself than to help. the country. Per usual, Trump's. presidency is about one person and one. person only, Donald Trump.
