BREAKING: BOMBSHELL SUPREME COURT RULING & ARREST THREAT

We have got some bombshell and final. breaking news out of the US Supreme. Court. You've never heard me say this. before, but watch this video until the. end because things just took a series of. insane turns today. So, here's what. happened. Last week, the Missouri. Supreme Court dropped a surprise ruling. blocking the Trump back congressional. map that would have shifted the. congressional delegation in Missouri. from 6 to2 to 7:1. Instead, they allowed. the whole thing to be put to a statewide. vote because a group called People Not. Politicians gathered 300,000 signatures.

to put the question of redrawing the. maps to the people of Missouri on the. ballot. Of course, the Republicans, including the Republican Secretary of. State and Attorney General of Missouri, appealed up to the US Supreme Court, as. was their right, and the US Supreme. Court denied their request. So, that was. it. No higher authority than the Supreme. Court. The 6:22 map had to be used for. these upcoming midterms. only that's not. what happened. Republicans didn't accept. that loss. They went shopping for a. different court instead. Even though. there is no higher authority than the US.

Supreme Court, but they didn't care. And. almost immediately in a separate case. brought by Missouri Republicans, they. found a federal district judge who would. issue an order st saying that the state. had to use the new Republicanfriendly 7. to1 map. Anyway, directly contradicting. what the state's own Supreme Court and. the US Supreme Court had just settled. That is Missouri Republicans having just. lost at the highest court turning around. and finding a friendlier federal judge. to hand them the exact outcome they had.

just been denied within minutes. Cut to. today. That lower court ruling was again. slapped down by the US Supreme Court. which handed down an order. This one. unanimous. No descents, not even. Clarence Thomas confirming again that. the 2022 map, the 6 to2 map stands for. November. That means it is 100% final. that Missouri will operate under the 62. map, not the 71 map that Trump and. Republicans were hoping for. But what's.

noteworthy here is just how egregious. this move was. Not only did the. right-wing Missouri Supreme Court rule, but so did the US Supreme Court. And yet. still, Missouri Republicans felt that. the rules didn't apply to them, that. they could skirt a Scottus ruling by. finding a judge who was also willing to. skirt a final ruling. Because as far as. these Republicans are concerned, the. rules don't apply to them and there are. no lengths that they won't go to to rig. the rules of the game in their favor. But it gets even crazier. Given the fact. that the Republican Secretary of State,

Denny Hoskins, refused to abide by the. by by the order. Here's what the. Missouri Supreme Court judges said to. him today. I think I recommend that you. tell the local election authorities. today that they are to follow your. orders that they are to use what is the. law in this state in chapter 128. They. are not to use house bill. I do want to. address one thing. This court has. authority over all attorneys in this. state and we have a situation where the. attorney general who I'm glad is here.

today appears unwilling or unable to. represent the state's interests in. federal court. and we have mentioned that in the. pleadings and I hope your honors will. consider that statute. Um I think uh. there are instances in the history of. American juristp prudence where a court. has appointed someone else to represent. the interests of a party when their. attorneys are not willing to do so. And. I think that today the attorney general. is not willing to do so. I think this.

court in light of some of the statements. that have made should also review its. decision in Westfall in re Westfall that. talks about what attorneys may say under. our rules of ethics about orders of this. court and what they might imply about. the motives of a court. Thank you. Thank you councel. Matter. will be taken under submission council. before we recess. I would direct your. client, the Secretary of State, to not. venture far from Jefferson City until.

this contempt motion is resolved. Be in. recess. Quote, I would direct your client, the. Secretary of State, to not venture far. from Jefferson City. What does that. mean? That means that they are likely to. hold him in contempt of court and need. him in Jefferson City because he'll. likely be arrested. Again, this is a. right-wing court. Six of the seven. judges were appointed by Republican. governors and they're setting the stage. for his arrest. And so it wasn't.

surprising then that Hoskins quickly. released the following statement. Quote, "Following the United States Supreme. Court stay, the only governing court. order in effect is from the Missouri. Supreme Court. In accordance with that. order, my office is directing local. election authorities to use the 2022. congressional map." The Republican. Attorney General followed suit, writing, quote, "We affirm Secretary of State. Denny Hoskins position and decision to. advise local election authorities that. the 2022 map is in effect. We respect. and will continue to comply with all.

court decisions, including orders issued. by the Supreme Court of Missouri. We. appreciate Secretary Hoskins continued. commitment to upholding the law and. working diligently to fulfill his duties. on behalf of Missouri." Isn't it amazing. what the threat of arrest can accomplish. for these otherwise lawless Republicans? Suddenly, they're willing to follow the. law. Isn't that incredible that when. they themselves are personally held. accountable, suddenly they regain their. feelalty to the law and constitution. Amazing. But the story continues. The.

Missouri Supreme Court did find. Secretary of State Hoskins was in. contempt of its order. But since he. already corrected his contemptuous. conduct, he released that statement. He's purged himself of contempt. A. written order is expected later today. To be clear, that is often how contempt. works. You may be jailed for as long as. you remain in contempt of the law. If. you're willing to correct your actions, you can purge yourself of the contempt. In a sense, you're handed the keys to. your own jail cell. In this instance, when Hoskins recognized that he would.

likely be arrested, he self-corrected. and avoided such punishment. But again, the fact that it got to that point is a. legitimately shocking revelation. But. it's also a testament to the panic being. felt by these Republicans. A Republican. Secretary of State nearly went to jail. today because he was so hellbent. on ignoring the courts and rigging his. party's maps for the midterms. Not for. nothing, but this is not something you. do when you can win on the merits. But. of course, this Republican party can't. win on the merits. They can't run on.

sending cost surging and engaging in a. new war in the Middle East and. suppressing the Epstein files and. sending gas to record highs. And so. instead, they've decided to just rig the. rules of the game so that they can't. lose. These are not participants in a. democracy. These are the last gasps of a. party of autocrats watching their power. slip away. And I should note that it's. not lost on me that a court full of. Republican judges were the ones to take. this kind of aggressive action. Perhaps. the Merrick Garland Justice Department.

could have learned a thing or two about. following the law, regardless of. political party, expressly to prevent. this kind of lawlessness. When you don't. hold criminals to account, they become. emboldened. When you do hold them to. account, as we saw here, you see how. quickly these corrupt. self-correct. Let that be a lesson to. the next Democratic administration. You. gain nothing by going easy on criminals. The Missouri Secretary of State is. living proof of exactly that. [music].
