BOMBSHELL Republican SCAM explodes into spotlight | Another Day
Another Republican steals money from. poor sick kids because stealing money. from rich, healthy ones would be far too. easy. This is just another day. We all know the meme about the Florida. man. Something about the heat or the. humidity or the high rate of. methamphetamine use makes people in the. gunshine state do kooky criminal things. And boy did I hear a good one today. >> Welcome back to the takeout. Grand jury. has found that Florida Governor Ronda. Santis' administration misused $10.
million in taxpayer funds by diverting a. Medicaid settlement over drug. overcharging to a nonprofit linked to. Dantis' wife. Ron Dantis, you dirty dog? But honestly, who among us hasn't had a. few too many and misappropriated $10. million in taxpayer funds to our wife's. charity? I'm not saying it's right. I'm. just saying it's human. So, Florida. Governor Ronda Santis has joined the. growing pantheon of Republicans. pilfering the public tail. I'm going to. need some more details.
>> This all started after Florida officials. learned the healthc care giant Centine. had been overbilling the state for. prescription drugs under the Florida. Healthy Kids program. Florida wasn't the. only state affected. At least 20 other. states were overbuild nearly a billion. dollars. Florida share was calculated to. be 67 million. Sentine was prepared to. refund $67 million to Florida taxpayers. But in September of 2024, someone in the. Dantis administration came up with the.
idea of diverting $10 million of the. settlement to the Hope Florida. Foundation. >> Yikes. You know things are going to get. ugly when the giant pharmaceutical. company who's been overcharging poor. sick kids is already the good guy in the. story. And just to be clear, the Hope. Foundation is. >> a nonprofit welfare organization. championed by the governor's wife, Casey. Dantis. >> Of course, a nonprofit run by Dantis'. own wife. I would say that this is.
evidence of two different sets of rules. depending on whether you're a member in. good standing of elite society or not. But those are actually Ronda Santis'. words about Hunter Biden. So, Centine. wants to give $67 million that it had. previously overcharged Flidians back to. the taxpayers, but the Dantis. administration says, "How about we give. $57 million to the taxpayers and $10. million to the governor's wife's. charity?" And look, for what it's worth, I think it's a stretch to call that. unusual. Sentine found the request.
unusual and inserted language in the. settlement agreement that they were. being directed by the Florida Attorney. General to make that payment. Before we. move on, let's go over a bit of the. lore. It's now late 2024. Florida's. attorney general is a woman named Ashley. Moody, and her deputy attorney general. is John Guard. And John Guard is a man. of integrity, but not that much. integrity. Guard acknowledged to the. grand jury he had reservations about the. settlement agreement and that he.
esoterically agrees that the $10 million. belong to the state of Florida. Guard. also explained to jurors that Florida. statutes require the legislature to. decide how money is spent. According to. the grand jury report, Guard was also. concerned about the political. consequences if the legislature ever. found out about the diversion. Gar did. have political concerns about the. dedication of $10 million to Florida, which he raised with A.G. Moody because. he knew the deal would be viewed by the.
legislature as a constraint on their. spending authority. Guard insisted the. settlement be rewritten so that instead. of the attorney general directing. Sentine to send $10 million to Florida, it would now state that the Dantis. administration's agency for healthcare. administration aka was directing Sentine. to send $10 million to Hope, Florida. His political concerns were resolved by. the change of the agreement, making the.
settlement AKA's agreement rather than. the AG's settlement agreement, as the. problem would now be AKA's problem. rather than the AG's problem. Oh, so the. AG's office didn't care about blocking. the $10 million kickback. They just. didn't want to be blamed for it. So, the. attorney general's office resolved that. ethically the choice was clear. To live. up to the promises they made to the. people of Florida, they needed to la. After all, when our morals are tested,
we must look to the righteous who came. before us. And I guess they looked to. Helen Keller because they didn't see, hear, or say Once the attorney. general's hands were washed clean of the. agreement, the Deantis administration. could proceed with its grift. Unfortunately, the optics weren't great. >> In fiscal year 2024, the Hope Foundation. raised just $800,000. Tax records for fiscal year 2025 show. that year $10 million went in and. straight out.
>> Hm. Uh, a little strange, but I'm sure. there's a perfectly good reason for. immediately blowing through more than 10. times the amount of cash that you'd ever. had your hands on. Like maybe the Hope. Foundation bought all those needy kids. in Florida a solid gold bounce house. It's Trump approved. Plus, gold is one. of the softest metals. And when they. said the money went straight in and. straight out, they weren't exaggerating. The money. only stayed in the Hope Florida.
Foundation bank accounts for no more. than 24 days. It was immediately then. sent to two other uh groups and from. there it ended up in a political action. committee controlled by the governor's. chief of staff at the time, the current. attorney general in Florida. And $7. million of that money ended up in the. bank accounts of the Florida Republican. party. By the way, that pack he. mentioned, the one run by former Dantis. chief of staff James Umeire, is Keep. Florida Clean, which may sound like some. well-meaning conservation group, but was.
actually formed to oppose efforts to. legalize marijuana, which begs the. question, is there anything lamer than. stealing taxpayer money to keep people. from smoking weed? It's like robbing a. bank and spending it all at the. Container Store. Yes, you'll have a very. organized, evil lair, but who's going to. want to hang out in it? All the other. criminals think you're a nerd. And if this whole ordeal didn't seem. sketchy enough, months after the. settlement went through, Dantis'. lackeyis were richly rewarded for their.
efforts. >> Now, 4 months after Moody and her team. signed off on the diversion to the Hope. Florida Foundation, Ronda Santis. appointed her to the United States. Senate. And in January, Dantis appointed. Gar to be a judge on the state's second. district court of appeals, making him. one of the most powerful judges in the. state. Governor DeSantis taps his chief. of staff, James Umeer, as the new. attorney general for the state of. Florida. >> Hey, some people's love language is. words of affirmation. Some people. perform acts of service and some people.
dole out cushy government jobs for. political favors. We're all different. and that's what makes us beautiful. Of. course, Dantis and his people would tell. a different story altogether. >> Uh there was no diversion of of any. Medicaid funds. That was a private. settlement where a company made a. private contribution to a DSO affiliated. with one of the state agencies. And so, um, don't lie, don't get it wrong. >> This has been a politically motivated. witch hunt driven by, uh, the Democrats. and a far-left Democrat state attorney.
in Tallahassee. Uh, this hoax has be. been debunked time and time and time. again. >> Actually, what a grand jury concluded. was that the funds were misappropriated. There just wasn't enough evidence to. convict the people who misappropriated. them. But you know what? Maybe it wasn't. anybody in the Dantis administration or. the AG's office. Maybe it was that. unpaid intern, Daphne, who's sorting. mail 60 hours a week to get school. credit. Yeah, it was probably Daphne. I. once saw her stealing toilet paper from.
the office bathroom. So clearly, she's. no stranger to grift. It's honestly not. surprising that Governor Dantis was able. to keep his hands relatively clean. He's. had a lot of great teachers. Just look. at Rick Scott, the Florida governor who. preceded Dantis. Nowadays, Scott is a. senator in Washington, valiantly weeding. out corruption. So, when you travel. around Florida, people are fed up with. um government in a lot of ways. It's all. because of fraud. I mean, they're sick. They sitting there, pay their taxes, and. they get sick and tired, and they read. these stories about money being wasted.
Um the it's something I I had to fight. when I was governor of Florida, and I. fought about it since I've been up here. Estimates show that up to 10%, it's. probably way more than that, of federal. spending is on fraud, waste, and abuse. >> Listen to that man. What could he. possibly have to hide? And under what. body hair could he possibly hide it? That man's record must be as pristine as. his hairless body. But alas, before. Scott became governor, he was the CEO of. Columbia HCA, a hospital chain at the.
center of the biggest Medicare fraud. scheme in American history. So, I. suppose the lesson here is that healthc. care fraud is kind of a right of passage. for all Florida Republican governors. Healthc care fraud and sodomizing an. alligator. If you don't do both, you. can't move into the governor's mansion. And if Dantis didn't already learn it. from watching Rick Scott, he could have. learned it from another famous. Floridaian. >> Now, to that blockbuster new report. raising serious questions about the. Trump Organization and charity golf. events that were meant to raise money.
for children with cancer. But Eric. Trump's organization also operated with. a misleading sales pitch, sloppy. accounting, conflicted board, and. unmistakable loyalty to billionaire. Donald Trump, who, according to a former. employee, made sure his for-profit. business build his son's nonprofit. charity. Thousands of pages of documents. obtained through a Freedom of. Information request shows the depths of. dishonesty underpinning Eric Trump's. sales pitch. He misrepresented how much. his fundraisers spent to use his.
father's golf courses to bring in. entertainers, even to supply auction. items. From 2011 to 2016, Eric Trump's. organization moved at least $500,000 of. charity money into his family's. properties. Okay, just a side note here. Why is it always stealing from sick. kids? Why not like manatees? You guys. all live in Florida. There must be. millions to skim off manatees. But what. makes this stealing so audacious, you. know, besides the stealing part, is that.
Republicans have put rooting out. corruption at the center of the GOP's. identity. >> So tonight, although started four months. ago, I am officially announcing the war. on fraud to be led by our great vice. president J. D. Vance. >> Mr. President, Republicans have been. working to root out ways, fraud, and. abuse in federal programs. Now, we're. talking about the the war on fraud. because it's a very important theme. right now. It's being amplified around. the country for obvious reasons because.
we're uncovering more and more, hey, elections have consequences. When you. put people who are against fraud and as. vehemently uh dedicated to that as the. people demand and expect, when you put. Republicans in charge, we go root this. stuff out. We bring it to your attention. and we eliminate it. >> All I want is one thing, three orders. We don't want any waste, fraud, or. abuse. It's very simple. Waste, fraud, abuse. >> Those three little words are all he. wants. Waste, fraud, and abuse. Oh, and.
money. He wants all the money ever. Always. The whole MAGA movement was. supposed to be predicated on holding. people in government accountable. Trump. was going to drain the swamp, remember? But the swamp is where he feels most. comfortable. I guess because it reminds. him of home. But right now, Democrats. hold no power. Republicans control. everything. House, Senate, White House. This is the platonic ideal of Republican. governance. They've got full control and. the waste fraud and abuse is as rampant.
as ever. So the next time you hear Trump. or one of his MAGA minions preaching. about all the corruption they see in. Washington, know this. It's just like. farts. Whoever smelt it dealt it. Or as. Ronda Santis might say, >> don't lie. Don't get it wrong. >> Right. Before you go, one quick request. It's. become clear to me that this White House. is dead set on preventing me from. reaching any audience. Trump's decision. to put me as the first name on his. enemies list is a testament to that. But. it didn't quiet down then and I won't do.
