And we remember Susan St. James, who played half of. that hit duo, Kate and Ally. From ABC News World Headquarters in New York, this is World. News Tonight with David Muir. Good evening, it's great to have you with us here on. a very busy Tuesday night. We begin tonight with breaking news on two fronts, one week.

until the midterm elections. ABC's Jay O'Brien leading us off from Texas tonight.

Tonight President Trump in Texas, his most visited. state this campaign. He's made four trips here this fall alone. Let's go out and do what we do best and that's. win on November 3rd. We got to win. The president well aware that Texas is seeing. a boom in early voting. More than 5 million people have already cast their ballots, a. big jump from the last midterm Trump here to support. the Republican in one of the nation's most. watched Senate races, Texas Attorney. General Ken Paxton.

Isn't he amazing? Mr. President, I am so grateful to have you here in Texas. The president taking aim at Paxton's Democratic. opponent, James Talarico. Talarico stated that he wants to dismantle Texas oil and. gas and capitalism itself. But Paxton comes with a suitcase of scandals, and. Democrats believe Talarico could be the first Democrat. to win a Texas Senate seat in more than 30 years. We are the underdogs. It's David versus Goliath.

It's the powers that be versus. the powers that ought to be. And it's time for us to start flipping over some tables. Talarico bringing up Paxton's biggest donor, Elon Musk, who's. pumped more than $150 million into the race. Elon Musk wants our land. He wants our water. He wants our tax dollars. He wants his very own personal United States senator. He is trying to buy Texas.

In Texas, turnout particularly high in the Rio Grande. Valley, a largely Hispanic area which went with Trump in 2024. Some of those Trump voters now have regrets. Jessica Canty-Vitinet, who runs a coffee shop in San Benito, sat down with our Martha Raddatz. You were wearing hats and make America great. Did he make America great? No, he made it worse. He literally made it worse because he's heartless. She says she supported Trump's deportation campaign, but then her own brother was deported.

What he told us, he was going for the criminals, for those. that truly do not deserve to be in our country. But the way he's doing it now, breaking up families, breaking up communities, people have died. He's heartless. And as Texans head to the polls, President Trump tonight asked. if he'll accept the results of the election. And you'll respect the results, whatever happens? I will if they're honest elections. And David, again tonight, early votes surging, not. just here in Texas, but other critical states too.

Heavy turnout in Kansas and higher numbers than the last. midterms in other battlegrounds, like North Carolina, South. Carolina, and Georgia. David. A lot to watch. Jay O'Brien, our thanks to you and to Martha. Raddatz, both in Texas tonight. Meantime this evening, is there a political earthquake. brewing in Israel at this hour? The results coming in now. And the question tonight, will Benjamin Netanyahu. survive as Prime Minister? The exit polls are not looking good for Netanyahu. Let's get right to it. ABC's Matt Rivers. He's live in Israel tonight. Matt, what do you see? David, it appears Prime Minister Netanyahu may be.

headed for a defeat in today's national elections. If the exit polls can be believed, and they are. normally very reliable here, Netanyahu's block is. behind the opposition's led by Gadi Eisenkot. After Israeli voters turned out in record numbers today. And if the math holds, it would mean Netanyahu will not be. able to form a government where he would be the leader. So the big question tonight, is Netanyahu's time as. prime minister almost over? Eisenkot has a real chance to form a majority. that would replace him. This election was seen as a referendum on Netanyahu.

Questions if warnings were ignored before the October 7th. Hamas terror attack and the And finally, the handling. of the ensuing war in Gaza, a war in which tens. of thousands were killed. These elections coming at a crucial time in U.S.-Israeli. relations as both sides weigh renewed strikes against Iran. Matt Rivers live in Israel tonight. Matt, thank you. Meantime, back here in the U.S. tonight, the remarkable images coming in. Record-breaking high tides both in the east and the west. homes, businesses, streets, underwater. So what's causing this?

Ginger Zee is here and Trevor Ault with the. images from Florida and from California, where a man. was kayaking down the 101. Tonight some of the highest tides ever recorded in. South Florida and Southern California, sending surging. seawater into homes and businesses on both sides of. the country. Florida's King Tides peaking today. and tomorrow in Fort Lauderdale. Residents hiking up their shorts, slogging through inundated streets, rescue teams. in high water response vehicles plowing through. seemingly unending floodwaters to get to people like.

this man stranded at the grocery store, many other. drivers testing the waters, not making it out. And in the West, as the tide came in outside LA, you can. see some of those rescue crews right there. KABC's chopper reporter Gabe Santos tracking rescue crews. in boats off the Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. We've seen rescue crews kind of going door to door in some. of the interconnecting roads. inland from PCH. Further north in Long Beach, an all-out battle. to save homes on the brink.

It's high tide now and the waves have ripped a hole. in this barricade of sand. And look, they have an excavator and a dump truck. They're fighting desperately to reinforce that edge. to protect those homes. And in Newport Beach, residents scrambling as. soon as the tide receded. Ryan Clark got half a foot of water in his house. I've been through this many times but nothing like today. This is crazy. The tides in the West supercharged by El. Nino, a marine heat wave, and the full moon. And it's not just Southern California. This morning, this driver had to be helped from a car in.

Mill Valley near San Francisco. This man spotted not far from there kayaking. down the 101 freeway. And David, here in Long Beach, the crews are already back. at work trying to rebuild this giant wall of sand. They're expecting these potentially extreme tides. to continue for days. It's going to take an enormous effort, plus a. potentially historic El Nino. It means there could be a threat of flooding all the. way through the winter. David, just incredible images from both sides. of the country tonight. Trevor, thanks. Let's get right to Chief Meteorologist Ginger. Zee tracking it all again tonight for us.

Hi, Ginger. Hi, David. While that full moon is the main driver for the King Tides, we. are seeing other contributing Trevor mentioned marine. heatwave because of El Nino. Look at that map. Water temperatures anywhere from 5 to 10 degrees above. average along the West Coast. It's called thermal expansion, just one of the other. contributing factors to why you have coastal flood advisories. for almost the entire coast through Thursday at least. So this is for the West Coast, the East Coast and the. Southeast especially there. You've got Florida up through Brunswick, Georgia, and.

Orlando with wind advisories. So gusts up to 40 miles per hour. that big high pressure system pushing the water and the. high surf 6 to 11 foot waves right toward the coast. through the end of this week. David. All right, Ginger Zee, we'll see you first. thing in the morning on GMA. Ginger, thank you. In the meantime, tonight, we turn to. the urgent manhunt at this hour for an escaped murderer. crossing state lines tonight. Here's Aaron Katersky. For years, Orne and Tal Alexander were jet-setting party. princes, titans of luxury real estate from Miami to Manhattan. We take everything into consideration. It might start with the real estate, but it's ultimately the relationship. -But tonight, they and a third brother, Alon Alexander, are off to prison for the next 30 years.

after they were convicted of weaponizing their wealth. to traffic and abuse women. 11 women testified they were drugged and sexually assaulted. by one or more of the brothers in Manhattan, Miami, and the Hamptons. Today, one victim told the judge her rape. It felt like an eternity of terror. Another said an opulent home became a mansion of horror, a mansion of dark secrets. The sentencing comes two years after the. brothers were arrested. Prosecutors said they were predators.

starting in high school. Today, Orrin Alexander downplayed his crimes, saying he came of age at the height of the. Hookup Culture at the time of Howard Stern and the. glorification of Playboy. But the judge told the brothers your conduct was monstrous. The Alexander brothers plan to appeal, David. They're also pursuing a pardon from President Trump. But federal prosecutors said the brothers spent years. inflicting unspeakable harms on so many young women. David. All right, Aaron Katerski, Aaron, stick with us here, because we have another.

major headline here in New York City tonight. The case you're following involving a former. NYPD detective now charged with murder in. an alleged road raid shooting on the George Washington Bridge. And this was the first time in court today, David. We had a look at the former detective, Victor. Romero, now charged with murdering the driver. he nearly collided with on the ramp to the George Washington. Bridge, then firing into his car. According to police, a number of the victim's coworkers showed. up at court to jeer the former Detective.

He's free on bail tonight, but they say he. should be in custody. David. Eric Tursky on both fronts. tonight. Aaron, thanks so much tonight. The FBI rating at Beverly Hills. Mansion. Authorities say in connection with an. investigation into former Democratic Congressman Eric. Swalwell. Here's Pierre Thomas. Tonight, FBI agents rating this Beverly Hills. mansion tied to former Congressman Eric Swalwell, a once rising star in the Democratic Party, now facing the legal fight of his life. The FBI raid comes as Swalwell has been facing accusations.

of sexual assault, charges he flatly denies. But those allegations prompting Swalwell to drop out of the. California governor's race where he was a. leading contender. Today's raid came at the multimillion dollar. home of billionaire businessman Steven Klubick, who wasn't home and has been trying to distance. himself from Swalwell. I was blown away. Like, blown away. Like, there's no way I would have endorsed him. Is that clear?

At least six women have accused Swalwell of sexual misconduct, including Lana Drews, a former model. -He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness. And I thought I died. -Swallow is vowing to fight to clear his name, but today's raid is hard evidence, David, that this investigation is far from over.

-All right, Pierre Thomas, who's been following this case, for us, Pierre, thank you.
