Now, and Politico, and says bans on. other media organizations could follow. Reporters in the Oval Office late today. asking the president about the First. Amendment. Mary Bruce leading us off. tonight. Tonight, the extraordinary move from. President Trump, saying he's banning.

three major news organizations, CNN, MS. Now, and Politico from the White House. because he doesn't like their coverage. >> We are banning them. Yes, we are. And. there may be others to follow. >> In the Oval Office, reporters from other. news outlets pressing the president. >> Think of the press enshrined in the. First Amendment. Are you trying? >> Thank you for telling me. >> Are you trying to intimidate the press. from doing that? >> No, no, no, no. I I dislike dishonest. press. >> Reporters asking why now?

American people to receive a full and. independent account of the activities, policies, and decisions of whoever. occupies the nation's highest office. Here's Aaron Kurski. and I'm going to declare a mistrial. >> Two weeks after a deadlock jury forced a. mistrial in the case against Lindseay. Clancy, the lone hold out juror is. breaking his silence, explaining why he. refused to join the other 11 jurors who. wanted to acquit Clancy of murdering her. children by reason of insanity. 48-year-old Michael Dronville saying in. a statement, "I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible.

theories during deliberation, I kept. getting cut off as if I had doubts based. on the evidence presented. In the days. after the mistrial, some of his fellow. jurors complained about him. >> He was very arrogant. He really did not. take anything that anybody said. >> It was definitely frustrating. >> Juror Nick Dargy told us the hold out. did voice doubt. He explicitly said, you. know, I don't know if the prosecution or. the defense proved their case. >> But Dronville says, based on all the.

physical evidence, key witnesses, and. what the prosecution presented, I. thought it was enough proof that she, Clancy, knew exactly what she was doing. and planned. His words echoing what. prosecutors have claimed. >> She knew exactly what she was doing. She. drew her husband out of the house, their. father, so that she had the opportunity. and the time to carry out these murders. >> Patrick Clancy says he still talks to. the children he lost. >> I talk to them. But prosecutors telling the jury it. was all a staged breakin, saying Flynn. shot his wife twice in the head as she. slept. Authorities say he was motivated. by an affair, reading chilling text. messages they say he sent to his. mistress. >> Literally trying to think of ways to. kill her and not go to jail. If I could literally kill her and not go.

to hell, I would do it in a heartbeat. The. defense admitting Flynn was unfaithful, but saying that doesn't make him a. killer. >> A man can fail as a husband without. being a murderer. >> And David, the defense says prosecutors. lack critical evidence here. This. evening, the new interview with Diana's. brother, insisting he is telling the. truth and what he says then Prince.

I'm Diane Sawyer. and it's Tuesday, September 11th, 2001. >> Florence and Jill worked together in the. South Tower and Florence remembers when. the North Tower was hit. >> I just sat down at my desk on the 77th. floor and when you heard that loud bang,

the whole building shook. This pervasive. smell of gasoline. I called my mother and I said, "Go to. the TV and tell me what they're saying. hit the building." So, at that point, she said, you know, get out of the. building. >> And what did you see? >> I was just looking at all the papers and. people hanging out of the windows and. trying to figure out where was the. plane. Where'd the plane go? And she. says, "It's in the building. >> We have fire on several floors. Royal.

ambulance.". >> Florence's friend Jill was one floor. above on 78. the young mother who left. her little boy Jake with her parents and. then her phone call. >> Hi, it's me. Um, just calling in case. you happen to turn on the news. An. airplane hit the World Trade Center, the. other tower. But it's not this tower, so we're all. safe. Give me a call when you get home. Bye. >> Florence went up to the 78th floor,

telling Jill and her other colleagues. that they needed to get out. Florence. came back down to 77 and then the second. plane hit. >> The plane hit one floor above you. >> Yeah. And I realized if I had stayed up. there, I would have been dead. >> She says she knew in that moment she. lost Jill and all of her friends on the. 78th floor. Of the last 25 people out, Florence was number 18.

We have followed Florence for nearly 25. years now and we will never forget. seeing those reflecting pools for the. first time. Wow. The names of the fallen etched in. bronze. And there was her friend Jill. Moore Campbell, the young mother who.

left behind her 10-month-old baby boy, Jake, when she left for work that. morning. >> Bless you. >> I always remember Jill's smile. I try. never to think about the way she died. >> And two decades later, a phone call from. Jill's son. >> Oh, I was so happy to to talk to him. the. young man at the other end of the phone. asking, "Can you tell me anything about.

my mother?". >> The first things out of his mouth was, "Can you tell me something about my. mom?" And I said, "You know what? Your. mother's biggest smile that I remember. was the day she brought you into the. office." And I said, "Your mom was a. very. she's a good person. She worked really. hard, but her biggest pride and joy was. being your mom." and I said she'd be. very proud of you. >> And now 25 years after 9/11, we returned.

to the reflecting pools. >> How are you. >> with Florence? You have been honest with. me through the years about your. survivors guilt. And you believe one of the main turning. points was that phone call from Jake. >> Yeah, it really was. In fact, Jake has. said that Florence has been a gift, describing his mother's smile, her way. And then another phone call from Jake. >> I got a call from him yesterday. He.

says, "I'm coming.". >> He called you yesterday? >> Yeah, he did. >> And said he wanted to come, too. >> Yep. >> Coming to meet Florence at the. reflecting pools for the first time. together, waiting near his mother's. name. Hi buddy. I'm so happy to see you. >> You look great. >> Thank you. As do you. >> You told her I'm coming. >> Yeah. >> It's sort of that bond that you build. over these years is irreplaceable.

>> When you look at Jake, do you see Jill? >> Yes. Yes. I still see, you know, Jill's. eyes, Jill's smile. I know if she were here today, she'd be. very proud of you and what you've. accomplished. What would you say to your mom? >> Uh, you know, I the first thing I would say is I love. you. I would tell her that I love her, you know, and I would tell her that, you.

know, I I'm okay, you know, I'm okay. Florence had no words. They simply. walked over to Jill's name. They hope. that Jake's mother knows that they are. here together. And so we choose Florence Jones and Jake. Campbell. Their forever bond a gift. Good night.
