is World News Tonight with David Muir. Good evening. We begin tonight here with several breaking. stories. This shooting inside a hospital, the. hospital on lockdown. Also, the tropical storm watches and warnings up. right now for millions. But But first, this chilling plot. Multiple arrests tonight where deadly drones planned. for the White House. Tonight the FBI is still calling this an active plot. they're investigating right now. They say the plot involved drones with explosives. planned for that UFC fight night at the White. House. In addition, they say planned.

snipers and who the FBI says they were allegedly planning. to target. Our Chief Justice Correspondent, Pierre Thomas, leading us off tonight. Tonight the FBI says the UFC event which drew thousands to. the White House South Lawn to celebrate Trump's 80th. birthday was a target. Authorities say it was a chilling plot, allegedly. involving explosive laden drones and snipers. meant to shoot politicians and wealthy people, force a mass evacuation and spark chaos across.

the nation's capital. Five people now under arrest. It was a serious threat. It was an active plot and it's ongoing. 19-year-old Tyson Proper from Knox County, Ohio, charged. with conspiring against the United States and. attempted murder. Authorities say this rifle and tactical gear among multiple. weapons seized from his home. FBI Director Kash Patel saying the plot originated. from outside the National Capital Region with. other suspects from California, Nebraska, and Missouri, all charged with conspiracy.

All of whom are in the U.S. Army. and David. including firearms purchases and communicating with certain. individuals online who express ultra-religious and. anti-government sentiments. The charges also lay out anger about the Epstein. files and billionaires. And authorities say they discovered a signal.

group on Popper's cell phone called Hunters, containing detailed instructions for carrying out the attack, including plans to safely escape. These screenshots discussing a drone launch. point and snipers nest. David, tonight, Vice President Vance says the plot was. not that advanced and was broken up before it. materialized. But authorities are emphasizing the. investigation is ongoing with as many as 23 potential. suspects. And David officials say there are. still suspects at large. It is alarming tonight, Pierre.

- Dr. Thomas, thank you. Also just in this evening, news of a manhunt. underway right now after a suspect opened fire. inside a hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Sources say two hospital workers have been shot, the hospital on lockdown, and what we know so far. about the shooter tonight. Here's our chief investigative correspondent, Aaron Katersky. - Tonight, the urgent manhunt in Delaware. after police say two people were shot. inside one of the state's biggest hospitals. - One shot in the neck, one in the upper body. Dozens of officers and FBI agents swarming Wilmington.

Hospital late this afternoon. The building put on lockdown. People seen leaving with their hands up. That was in the emergency room and you could. hear the shots go off. Law enforcement officials tell ABC News it appears. a hospital worker shot two other employees. before fleeing. Late today, police confirming one victim was killed. Sources say the alleged shooter may be a temporary worker. Police know who the suspect is and they're. actively searching for him. We still have officers from a number of agencies. that are searching the building and in the. building right now.

Police are now working to determine, David, what led up. to this shooting, but they were quick to point out this was. not random, but an act, it's believed, of workplace violence. Aaron Katersky with us tonight. Aaron, thank you. At this hour, there are tropical storm watches and warnings up. right now across several states, millions in the path of. severe storms tonight. In fact, the first possible tropical storm of the. season gaining strength right now in the Gulf. A driver for one has been found dead in her car. Authorities say she called 911, but the call dropped out. Flooding, blinding rain, lightning, strong winds.

hitting parts of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Ginger Zee standing by with the forecast. Melissa Adan from Galveston, Texas, tonight. Tonight, a tropical storm watch up for the Gulf Coast, where the first named storm of the hurricane season could. form in the coming hours. But the developing system is already fueling deadly floods. Vehicles stranded north of Houston today after up to. four inches of rain fell fast. Drivers taking it slow in the woodlands. People pushing stalled cars out of deep water in Houston.

This post office truck dead in the water. Emergency managers say the rain was coming down at about. an inch every 15 minutes at one point, stressing. the city's bayous. Tow truck drivers out in force, but also taking care. Even with this truck being almost an 8,000-pound. vehicle, it gets moved when we got so deep. into the water. Just outside San Antonio, authorities found a woman dead. inside her submerged vehicle. She reportedly called 911, but the call got cut off.

In Shreveport, Louisiana, cars and even fire trucks. struggled through deep water. The flooding spreading east into Mississippi late today. David, here along the Texas coast, we're under a tropical. storm watch where conditions are expected to worsen tomorrow. morning through the afternoon. The water is churning right there behind you, Melissa. Let's get right to Chief Meteorologist Ginger. Zee tracking this system tonight for us. Hi, Ginger. Hi David, we could see Tropical Storm Arthur by. tomorrow morning, but whether it gets a name or not,

the impacts are what we have to talk about. And from Morgan City, Louisiana, back to Cameron, right to the state line of Texas, there are tropical storm warnings. That's for the gusty winds, the inundation of 2. to 4 feet of water, and the life-threatening flash flooding. Still flood watches all the way to Atlanta. Tomorrow, the flooding is focused. from Macomb, Mississippi, to Lake Pontchartrain, back to Lafayette and Lake Charles, nearly to Houston. there for two to four inch per hour rainfall rates. Then we've got to talk severe storms up here. in the Great Lakes. Tonight, we've seen tornado warnings already in Michigan, Indiana, and that severe watch goes to 11.

Tomorrow is the big one, and this is going to be racing. potentially strong tornadoes in the afternoon and evening. across parts of northern and central Illinois into northwest. Indiana. Peoria Champagne right. there in Bloomington over to say Lafayette, Indiana. I want everyone there to know you're at a level four out. of five, David, which is why you're right there outside. Chicago tonight, tracking that as well as the tropical systems. in the South. Thank you, Ginger. Tonight, we have learned two young women, two. college students were swept into the ocean. They did not survive. They're among multiple victims pulled into dangerous waters.

along the California coast. And what authorities are now warning tonight. Kayna Whitworth from California. Tonight we're learning more about two college. students swept off a California beach in dangerous. conditions near Santa Cruz. We have one unit on scene. This is a confirmed codex, requesting a codex. response to Panther. We heard two victims knocked off their feet. Lifeguards racing to rescue Mahiel Saran and Harshita Nair, airlifting them to the hospital. But both young women later died. We had to airlift the two patients off the sand.

because we can't even get there when it's high tides. Tonight, with strong rip currents and high surf, there. are urgent warnings for the public to stay out of the ocean. More than 500 people rescued in Newport Beach, where lifeguards. were spotted battling rough currents to save a bodyboarder. The water pulling them under until more people jump in. They all bring the man to safety. In Laguna Beach last week, waves pulled five-year-old Amada Mia. Brown and her family into sea. Her mother and brother were rescued, but Amada's. body was later found 300 yards from that beach.

She was just my little princess. She was a sweet kid and she didn't deserve this. And David, there is a coastal hazard warning that remains in. effect for many areas through tomorrow. Officials are warning people to stay near occupied lifeguard. stands or out of the water entirely. Kayna Whitworth from California again tonight. Kayna, thank you. This evening we have new reporting here after. that deadly crash of that B-52 bomber at Edwards. Air Force Base outside Los Angeles, killing eight, including multiple airmen.

Tonight there's news that there might have been a sudden. turn right after takeoff and then the plunge. Here's Trevor Ault. We're learning new details tonight about that. fiery crash of a B-52 bomber on a test mission. at Edwards Air Base outside Los Angeles. Officials say all eight people on board have died. The crew composed of airmen, government civilians, and. two Boeing contractors. At this point, we don't have any indication as to. what the cause was of this. The mission was testing a new radar system, part of an effort.

to modernize the aircraft first built in the. 50s and capable of carrying nuclear weapons. And the investigation will look into whether flight data. seen by the AP shows just after takeoff the B-52 Stratofortress. took a sharp right turn, nearly rotating 180 degrees, before. something caused it to plunge to the ground nearly a mile a. minute, ten times faster than the plane normally descends. It can't be real. And ABC affiliate KERO interviewing Lauren Smith, who.

says her husband Jeremy was on that plane. Jeremy leaves behind two sons. He is the type of person that he would take his shirt off. his back for you, even if he did not know you. He was our rock. And David, a lot of the information surrounding. the B-52 in this radar test is classified. So officials say they're not sure how much they'll be able. to eventually share with the public about the. cause of this crash. All right, Trevor, I'll bomb this again tonight. Trevor, thank you.

Tonight President Trump at the G7. The president was asked today why not release the details. of what he has now signed with Iran. Will the deal mean Iran gets money? And what about Iran's enriched uranium? What the president is now saying tonight. Rachel Scott traveling with the president in Geneva. Tonight growing pressure on President Trump to release. text of the deal he has already signed with the Iranians. There's so much interest in the text of the document. Why not, why not release the text? Why not release the document? Oh, I will. Why not release it before President? Well, because I'd like to get a formal setting.

first before we do that. Vice President J.D. Vance has described the agreement as a. very general document, about a page and a half long. The U.S. agreeing to lift the blockade of Iranian ports, Iran reopening the Strait of Hormuz. After that, 60 days of talks to address the future of. Iran's nuclear program. Still unclear what kind of financial reward. Iran has been promised. The Wall Street Journal reports the agreement allows Iran to. start selling oil immediately. Trump's former ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, posting,

"If this is true, Iran wins.". Senate Republican leader John Thune in the dark, telling. reporters he requested the tax from the administration, but nothing yet. Clearly like anybody else, we want to see the. devils in the details. President Trump would only say this. Here's what it says. Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. That's what it says. It won't have one to buy, to develop. They will not have a nuclear weapon. And I would say that's about 99.9% of what I wanted.

But Iran made the very same pledge in the. Obama nuclear deal, which President Trump. tore up in his first term. President Trump says he's hoping that Iran will be in. quote the rearview mirror, but sources tell ABC News that U.S. intelligence agencies have serious doubts about whether. Iran can be trusted in these final negotiations. David Rachel Scott live from Geneva tonight. Rachel, thank you. Back here in the U.S. and to the reflecting pool on the. National Mall after President Trump spent millions in taxpayer. money to have it painted blue. The water is now green and workers were on site today.

Here's Mary Bruce. Tonight, the National Park Service out in force trying. to clean algae that's turning the reflecting pool green, just days after President Trump spent nearly $15 million to. repaint it, quote, "American flag blue.". You're going to have something you're going to be very proud. of, and it'll last for 50 to 100 years before you. have to do anything with it. Very strong, powerful substance that we use. And we picked a color called American flag blue.

Workers spotted this morning dumping hydrogen. peroxide into the pool. It was supposed to look blue. It's pretty green right now. So, I don't know. I'd ask for a refund or something. It's one of several Trump renovation projects being. paid for by taxpayers now under scrutiny. On a judge's orders, Trump's name stripped from the Kennedy. Center, which he had tried to rename after himself. But tonight, the entrance still shrouded in a tarp. And there are new questions about his massive ballroom. He's promised it would be paid for entirely.

by private donations. We have no taxes. It's taxpayer free. We have no taxpayer putting up 10 cents. Tonight, The Washington Post reports the contractor. building the ballroom gave it one estimated price tag. of $600 million, more than half of that. reportedly coming from taxpayers. And David, the White House tells us the Ballroom Project. is quote "inextricably tied to the security of the. president, the White House grounds, and the certain. security infrastructure assets.". As for the Reflecting Pool, they tell us that the Park Service.

Tonight, we are tracking an emergency landing. just a short time ago at JFK Airport. Here are the pictures Delta pilots declaring an emergency. when they were told two landing tires might be flat. You can see firefighters meeting the plane on the runway. They did find at least one damaged tire.

No one was hurt during landing. Outside New York City tonight, six people were hurt, hit in an acid attack in Jersey City. Police say a vehicle drove up to a group. and someone threw what is believed. to be sulfuric acid on them. The victims were all treated at the hospital. A juvenile is under arrest tonight. This evening, the LAPD says a tragic shooting. is now under review. It happened during a Knicks celebration at a home in LA. The LAPD shooting a family's dog. Officers say they were responding to a call. about a woman screaming when two-year-old Jameson, the dog, they say, rushed at them.

The woman apparently was screaming about the Knicks game, the title win. This is the photo of the dog in the Knicks shirt. just before the shooting. It's getting a lot of attention across social media. Memorial now growing in the hallway. where the little dog was killed. The shooting is now under review.
