Hillary Clinton emerging, walking up to the podium. following more than six hours of her testimony before. the House panel investigating Jeffrey Epstein. Just a short time ago, Secretary Clinton taking. reporters questions after the closed door hearing. She had urged the committee to make the hearing public. so the american people could see her full answers. to every question.

They did not agree to it. In opening remarks to the. committee, Secretary Clinton saying if the. committee is serious about learning the truth about. Epstein's trafficking crimes, it would ask. President trump directly under oath about the tens of. thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein. files. Mrs Clinton accusing Republicans of protecting. one political party and one public official Rachel. Scott leading us off from where the hearing was. held in Chappaqua New York tonight. Tonight, a defiant Hillary Clinton testifying. for hours before the Republican led House Oversight.

Committee investigating sex offender Jeffrey. Epstein. I don't know how many times I had to say. I did not know Jeffrey Epstein. I never went to his island. I never went to his homes. I never went to his offices. Uh, so it's on the record. numerous times. The former secretary of state, Senator. and first lady denouncing the hearing as partisan. political theater, calling it an abdication of. duty and an insult to the american people. In a blistering opening. statement, Clinton insisting she and her husband, former.

President Bill Clinton, were being forced to. testify to distract attention from President. Trump's actions and to cover them up despite legitimate. calls for answers. And then she sat for hours of. questions. It was disappointing that they refused to. hold a public hearing. So I wouldn't have to be out here characterizing. it for you. You could have seen it for yourself, though they would not let Clinton testify in public. Republicans still looking for a political. advantage. Why did you send the picture?

Why not? Congresswoman Lauren Bovert secretly snapping this. picture, sharing it with conservative influencer. Benny Johnson, who then posted it online. The hearing briefly pausing before. it resumed. One of the members violated that rule, which was very upsetting because it suggested. that they might violate other of our agreements. Republican Chairman James Comer adding this the. number of times that she said, I don't know, you'll. have to ask my husband was was more than a dozen.

Republicans were pushed to explain why they called. Clinton to testify at all. We're not accusing Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing. We know that Jeffrey Epstein said many times in. emails that he was the first person to raise money for. the Clinton initiative. Again, that's not saying anything's illegal, but there are a lot of questions pertaining to. Secretary Clinton. But Republicans have refused to. President Trump to testify despite. his long friendship with Epstein. Clinton today making light of some. of the questions they asked her. It then got at the end.

Quite unusual because I started being asked about UFOs. Clinton saying if the committee is. serious about learning the truth about Epstein's. trafficking crimes, it would not rely. on press gaggles to get answers from our current. president on his involvement. It would ask him directly under oath. About the tens of thousands of times he shows up. in the F-scene files. Former President Bill Clinton will testify behind. closed doors here tomorrow. Republicans on the committee say the American public will soon.

Rachel, thank you. We also have breaking developments at this hour after. that deadly gun battle involving U.S. citizens off of Cuba. A U.S. speedboat and Cuban forces and what ABC News has. now learned tonight about that boat. Here's Martha Raddatz. Tonight U.S. officials confirming that at least one of. the four people shot and killed on that Florida speedboat.

off the coast of Cuba was a U.S. citizen. and one of the six people. wounded, a second U.S. citizen. Police say the U.S. speedboat involved in the gun battle. was reported stolen from this boat launch in the Florida. Keys earlier this week. Cuba, claiming the men were trying to infiltrate the. island for terrorist purposes. The speedboat, according to the Cuban Ministry of Interior, reached within a nautical mile of the Alpino Channel. when Cuban patrol boats approached the vessel.

The Cubans claiming those on board the U.S. boat opened fire, prompting the Cubans. to return fire. Cuba claims the suspects were armed with assault rifles, Molotov cocktails and bulletproof vests, but provided no proof. The brother of a man he says was one of the boat's occupants. telling the Associated Press his brother had. become obsessed with the quest for Cuba's freedom.

The island nation is in the middle of a crippling. energy crisis amid a U.S. quarantine of oil shipments. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Wednesday saying. the U.S. will conduct its own investigation. It is highly unusual to see shootouts in open sea like that. We're going to find out. We're not going to base our conclusions. on what they've told us. And David, given that there was one American killed and. another wounded, this is a complicated situation for. the State Department since police say the boat was stolen.

and the Cubans say those men were heavily armed and fired. on the Cuban troops first. Martha Raddatz on this again tonight for us, Martha. Thank you now to the search for Nancy Guthrie, the. FBI now preparing to turn the home back over to Savannah. Guthrie and her family and what authorities are. now saying tonight about the tips coming in after. Savannah revealed the family's $1 million reward here. again, Aaron Guterski. Tonight, police say this video obtained by. Fox News is part of the investigation into the.

abduction of Nancy Guthrie. A ring camera captured a car about two and a half. miles from Guthrie's home around the time she was taken. It's not clear whether the image has any value, but. the sheriff's department is urging homeowners. to submit their home security footage. Sources tell ABC News the FBI is preparing to turn over. the house to Savannah Guthrie and her siblings nearly a month. after their mother was taken from her bed in the middle. of the night. Today, workmen dropped orange barriers to enforce a. no-parking zone around the house and installed new. security cameras.

The FBI is now moving its command post from. Tucson to Phoenix, where agents will continue. to analyze thousands of hours of video and sort through the. 1,500 tips that came in after Savannah offered a. million-dollar reward. We need her to come home. The family is hoping all that money will finally convince. someone to come forward. Someone out there knows something that. can bring her home. And authorities are stressing tonight, David, that whoever. provides that crucial tip that leads to Nancy Guthrie can.

Next this evening here, sources telling ABC News. a convicted stowaway who once got on a Delta flight. from JFK to Paris with no boarding pass, no passport. They say she's done it again, boarding yet another flight, this time from Newark to Milan. Tonight, she's in custody and here's Stephanie Ramos. Tonight, an infamous frequent flyer. is allegedly racking up more miles. Sources tell ABC News Svetlana Daly,

already convicted of flying overseas as a stowaway, snuck onto another international flight and is now in custody. in Italy. The sources say Dali flew to Milan. overnight after sneaking onto a United flight from. Newark. It was around Thanksgiving 2024 when Dali, seen here in the hoodie and backpack, blended with the. crowd at JFK airport and hopped a Delta flight to Paris without. showing a boarding pass or passport. The flight crew questioning her after she. hid in the bathroom most of the way.

Dolly was put on a flight back to new york. Where she was later convicted and sentenced to. time served plus a year of supervised release. The judge said she needed treatment. for mental illness. My actions were directed. toward only one purpose. She said to save my life. David, United Airlines says they are investigating the. incident on that flight from Newark to Italy and. working with authorities, adding safety and security.

Sources say a group of pro-Trump attorneys are circulating a. draft claiming without evidence that China interfered. in the 2020 election, arguing that would justify. declaring a national emergency that would then. allow the president to mandate voter ID, hand-counted ballots, and ban mail-in ballots. Now, it is not clear if the president is going. to accept this proposal, but we do know that.

he is considering executive action to impose. stricter voting rules. But, David, the Constitution gives states, not the federal. government, the power to run. Brad Cooper, briefing President Trump today. on potential military options in Iran. That's according to a person close to the president. It comes amid this massive military build-up in the. region, the largest in years. Talks to avert military strikes ending today, with Iran. saying there was good progress, but differences remain that. could decide whether or not the U.S. goes to war. A U.S. official confirming to ABC News before the talks that. Iran is offering to suspend its enrichment of uranium. for a limited period, but the president. demanding no enrichment, no nuclear program at all.

Iran, though, insisting it has a right. to a peaceful nuclear program. And I think with Iran saying there'll be more talks. next week, the key question tonight, has the president heard enough to keep talking?
