Speedboat and Cuban troops off the. coast of Cuba. Cuba tonight, saying four dead. in that U. S. Boat six wounded tonight. Cuba saying the shootout took. place in Cuban waters off the southern tip of. florida. Cuba saying four people shot and killed a. cuban commander also wounded in that shootout.

Cuba accusing the U. S registered boat of opening. fire as the cuban border guard vessel approached. Secretary of State Marco Rubio speaking a short. time ago on this and abc's Martha Raddatz leading us. off with late reporting. Tonight, a deadly gun battle off the coast of Cuba. Four people killed aboard a florida registered. speedboat. Six more wounded. Cuban officials claiming that speedboat violated. its territorial waters approaching within one nautical. mile of the Alpino Channel north of Coralijo,

an area known for its intricate keys and proximity. to Florida's southern tip. Cuban border guards in a patrol boat. claiming that as they approached to identify who was on board, the crew of the speedboat opened fire, wounding the Cuban commander. Those Cuban troops then returning fire, according to Cuban officials, killing those four. people on the speedboat before evacuating the wounded. for medical treatment. Late today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

saying much is still unknown about the incident, but. the U.S. is demanding access and answers. We obviously want to have access to these people if they. are American citizens or U.S. residents, but I'm not going to speculate now. The New York Times reporting the speedboat was trying to. get relatives out of Cuba. For decades, there's been a very lucrative business using. high-speed boats to pull Cuban citizens out of Cuba. and get them to Florida. That may be what we're seeing here. -The timing of the bloodshed, critical.

Cuba is in the middle of an energy crisis. amid a US blockade on oil shipments. And US-Cuba relations have been on a knife's edge. following the US seizure of Venezuelan President. Nicolas Maduro, Cuba's main energy ally. David, the US Coast Guard is now off the coast of Cuba. Secretary of State Rubio made it clear. he does not trust the Cuban account and the U.S. will do its own investigation. But he also added it is highly unusual to see a.

by an unidentified masked man. Agents seen in that same doorway, walking the. property and putting up no trespassing signs. The FBI is reducing the number of personnel in Tucson. Many agents are now heading back to Phoenix to work. the case from there. Investigators are now sorting through a surge in tips after. the Guthrie family's offer of a million dollars for. information leading to their mother. Please come forward. Tell what you know. with convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. Today, the fallout growing as Gates was pressed by employees. at a Gates Foundation town hall. According to the Wall Street Journal, which revealed audio of the meeting, Gates told employees, "It was a huge mistake to. spend time with Epstein.". He acknowledged that his relationship with Epstein. began after Epstein was convicted of soliciting a minor. And he claimed that he, one of the wealthiest. men in the world did not properly research. Epstein's background that would have revealed.

his sordid past. Knowing what I know now makes it, you know, a hundred times worse. Gates acknowledged his association. probably helped Epstein rehabilitate his image, and he revealed other damning specifics, saying the men flew together on a private jet. and that they hung out in Germany, France, New York, and Washington. But Gates was adamant that he never witnessed. any criminal activity. But Gates did acknowledge he had affairs. with two Russian women. And Gates also addressed these photos,

saying they were pictures Epstein asked him. to take with his assistants. His ex-wife recently saying Gates. needs to answer questions. - Those questions are for those people. and for even my ex-husband. They need to answer to those things, not me. (laughs). William Shivers shot this video. He lives across the street. We heard an explosion. I looked out my front door. and it was just an inferno across the street. It was really hot. You could feel the flames at my house. The female got out. She realized the child was. inside the house. She went back in for her child and. that's when she suffered her injuries. Video from abc Boston station WCVB. shows a neighbor running outside after hearing. the explosion. The fire spreading to homes on. either side, firefighters battling the flames and.

nearly 30 inches of snow fire hydrants were an. issue. So another reminder to people to clean their. fire hydrants. We had our police officers digging. out the fire hydrant when they got here. The three family home now a total. loss. David, that 25 year old mother and her child. were both rushed to the hospital. The mother with severe burns and the child. with serious injuries.
