I'm [music] W Johnson and. for David tonight and we begin with. breaking news. More than 90 newly. released images from the Jeffrey Epstein. estate now made public. The latest wave.

coming in just a short time ago. House. Democrats releasing the photos, including multiple pictures of President. Trump. A photo of former President Bill. Clinton along with a number of famous. faces from business to Hollywood. The. pictures released without contact. Some. Republicans accusing Democrats of. cherry-picking photos to harm President. Trump. The Justice Department now has. one week left to comply with the law. signed by Trump to release the full. Epstein files. and what the president. said just a short time ago. ABC's chief.

justice correspondent Pier Thomas leads. us off. >> tonight. House Democrats releasing new. images from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. showing the sex offender alongside some. of America's most powerful men. The 90. plus photos some released with. redactions part of a trove of 95,000. images that came from Epstein's email. account and a computer. They include a. rare image of former President Bill. Clinton standing shoulder-to-shoulder. with Epstein's convicted accomplice, Gillan Maxwell. Three of the photos are.

of President Trump. Locations and time. frame unknown. One with Epstein. Another. shows Trump at what appears to be a. public event posing with six women, all. of whom appear to be adults. >> Obviously, there are photos of uh of. powerful men and and folks that we want. to have an opportunity to speak with and. ask questions of. Another photo showing. President Trump's former adviser, Steve. Bannon, sitting across a desk from. Epstein. On the desk, a framed photo of. an unidentified woman lying on a couch.

The circumstances of the photo unclear. Democrats gave no context for the images. they released that also include former. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers and his. wife, billionaire Richard Branson, star. director Woody Allen appearing on what. seems to be a film set with Epstein, and. Bill Gates standing next to Epstein's. longtime private pilot in front of what. appears to be Epstein's private jet. The. appearance of these men in the Epstein. photos is not evidence of wrongdoing. Republicans say the Democrats are quote.

cherry-picking photos and are making. targeted redactions to create a false. narrative about President Trump. Late. today, President Trump asked about the. photos. >> There are hundreds and hundreds of. people that have photos with him, so. that's no big deal. I know nothing about. it. >> It comes as a Department of Justice has. until next Friday to comply with the law. passed by Congress last month to release. the entirety of the Epstein files. OJ. O'Brien was on the hill today. If DOJ. doesn't release the files it has by next.

Friday, is there anything Congress can. do to compel that to happen? >> Well, I mean, it's a crime if they. don't. It's not like they're in in. contempt of Congress because they didn't. respond to a subpoena. This is a new law. with, you know, criminal implications if. they don't follow it. >> A possible wrinkle. Gillan Maxwell, serving a 20-year sentence for crimes. related to Epstein, has indicated she. will file a new petition to challenge. her conviction that could potentially. impact the files release. DOJ officials.

have taken steps to unseal grand jury. material tied to Epstein. But. congressional leaders are expecting much. more, including files from the FBI and. other government agencies. Whit. >> and that deadline fast approaching. Pierre Thomas, we appreciate it. Also. breaking tonight, disturbing allegations. following the firing and arrest of. former Michigan football head coach. Chiron Moore. The married father of. three appearing in court today. He's. accused of terrorizing a woman inside. her home hours after he was fired for.

having an inappropriate relationship. with a staffer. Moore now facing. multiple charges. Here's ABC's Alex. Perez. Tonight, disgraced to former. Michigan head coach Chiron Moore is out. on bond now facing charges of felony. home invasion and stalking and breaking. and entering into the home of an. ex-girlfriend. >> Mr. Moore, could you state your name, please? >> Ro. >> This afternoon, the 39year-old appearing. in court via video. The prosecutor. telling the judge the alleged victim. broke up with Moore, but he allegedly.

kept calling and texting her. >> Eventually, she presented herself to the. University of Michigan. um cooperated in. in some form of investigation there. >> The married father of three fired by the. University of Michigan on Wednesday with. cause effective immediately after the. school says he had an inappropriate. relationship with a staff member saying. maintains zero tolerance for such. behavior. Then later Wednesday, according to authorities, Moore went to. the woman's home, allegedly entered.

through an unlocked door without. permission, and engaged in a verbal. argument with the victim that escalated. >> Barged his way into that apartment, uh, immediately then proceeded to a kitchen. drawer, grabbed several butter knives. and a pair of kitchen scissors, and. began to threaten his own life. I'm. going to kill myself. I'm going to make. you watch. My blood is on your hands. You ruined my life. >> Police dispatch relaying information to. responding officers.

>> Suspect just called a caller, told her. there's a male at the location and the. house attacking her. The state has been. stalking her for months. >> Today, a judge ordering Moore to have no. contact with the alleged victim and wear. a GPS monitor. Moore was in the second. year of a 5-year contract, making about. $6 million a year. >> Do you know where he's going to be able. to stay after this? Is he going to be. able to go home? >> Um, I'm just going to not answer that. question, but he'll he'll be in the. community. >> And Whit Moore has not yet entered a.

plea. He's due back in court January. 22nd. University of Michigan football. now left to regroup with an interim. coach as they prepare to take on Texas. at the Citrus Bowl New Year's Eve. More than 9,000 people told. to flee their homes before sunrise. >> Look at the flooding in this. neighborhood in Burlington. They told. the entire town at 6 this morning to. evacuate immediately. The National Guard.

was going doortodoor. First responders. rescuing people from vehicles stranded. in the water. >> We're seeing historic flooding here. There's been historic flooding to the. south. >> Monica Mendes says her son woke up to. the sound of water coming in. And I've. been here more than 15 years and never. seen anything like it. And I'm just in. shock like trying to process everything. >> Stunning new video showing a home. getting swept away in flood waters in. Deming, Washington. This Coast Guard. crew swooping in by helicopter in. Sumass, Washington.

>> They're just struggling to get in the. basket. Someone think they're probably. scared. >> Two choppers hoisting four people in all. who fled to the attic of that flooded. home. The water rising up to the roof. And tonight in the northeast, major. cities along the I95 corridor bracing. for the first accumulating snow of the. season. >> So looking at Philadelphia, the forecast. we are going with 2 to 4 in. >> and with back here in Washington snow. quality falls is roaring tonight and the. people in this state are not yet out of.

the woods. There is more rain in the. forecast in the coming days bringing. potentially more flooding and. landslides. Quit quite a scene Trevor. Thanks. Let's get right to meteorologist. And Jeff, more dangerous weather. on the way. >> Yeah, we'll have one dry day tomorrow. where these rivers that are in major. flood stage will recede a little bit, but unfortunately that atmospheric river. pattern with tremendous amounts of. moisture reestablish itself as we head. into next week. Several rounds of major. rain and snow. So, the flood threat not. over in the Pacific Northwest. That.

threat of accumulating snow along the. I95 corridor for later on tomorrow night. into early Sunday. That's a clipper. system heading out of the Midwest. We. have winter weather advisories from. Philly to New York City. 1 to 4 inches. of snow in general expected there. Upwards of a half a foot over parts of. the Ohio Valley. And the cold behind it. will be brutal, even dangerous. We have. cold weather advisories from the Twin. Cities to Chicago to Indianapolis. Windchills down to 30 below zero. Whit, >> we will brace for that. Jeff Smith, thanks so much. Next tonight, a new. lawsuit is hoping to block construction.

of President Trump's $300 million White. House ballroom. The massive project. going up where the East Wing once stood. without review or approval. ABC's Rachel. Scott at the White House. And Rachel, what more are you learning tonight? >> Well, with this is the most significant. effort yet to try to stop construction. of that $300 million ballroom here at. the White House. A group of. preservationists now suing the White. House. In their lawsuit, they insist no. president is legally allowed to tear. down portions of the White House without. any review whatsoever, adding, "No. president is legally allowed to.

construct a ballroom on public property. without giving the public the. opportunity to weigh in." The president. moving forward with the demolition of. the east wing without going through the. traditional or proper approval process. In a statement tonight, the White House. insists that the president has the full. legal authority to modernize and. renovate the east wing. A hearing is now. set for next week. Whit. >> All right, Rachel, thank you for that. We move on now to an ABC News. investigation. Authorities say drones. are now being used to breach prison. security across the US, flying over. walls and fences to deliver contraband.

to inmates. Everything from cigarettes. to cell phones and those phones now. being used to scam women throughout the. country. Here's ABC's Matt Rivers. >> Tonight, it's a growing threat. authorities are calling drone prison. drops. Authorities say surveillance. video showing drones operated by. organized crime rings flying over. prisons in Georgia and South Carolina, smuggling dangerous contraband. Police. say drops like these have been linked to. scam calls like this one. Hello, this is.

Sergeant Christopher with the Palawi. County Sheriff's Office. >> This voicemail to an Iowa dentist. claiming to be from the local sheriff's. office. >> I have some legal document that requires. your immediate attention. So, at the. early contact me back, >> but investigators say the person behind. that voicemail is actually an inmate. more than 1,000 miles away in Georgia. The inmate using phones delivered by. drones to target women in healthcare. across the US. According to court. records obtained by ABC, >> this was a very wellplanned scheme. They.

were able to research people, find out. about them, so they knew who to scam, who had money. >> Police say the inmate then working with. associates outside of prison to collect. money from unsuspecting victims. In. Georgia alone, 71 drone incidents last. month alone, the most ever. A growing. nationwide threat, say experts. And just. this week in South Carolina, prison. officials say they intercepted this. steak and crab feast along with. cigarettes and marijuana delivered to. inmates by drone. When officials are.

asking Congress to support a pending. bill that would allow these drones to. legally be brought down. Right now, prison officials do not have that. authority due to FAA restrictions. According. to authorities, police say the woman, a. tourist from California, was attacked by. another woman inside a restroom on. Thursday. The woman's husband reportedly. disarmed the suspect and held her down. until police arrived. The mother is in. stable condition. Her baby girl was. unharmed.
